I just filled out an application for an apartment - what do they look for in your credit history?

I kind of run along the lines of 'AcerMill'. Everything on a credit report is of interest to me in my evaluation, BUT I put greater significance on rental-related/housing credit issues, and utility issues. It doesn't matter to me if a debt has gone to court or not,....a debt...is a debt, any way you look at it .!!!! Some of the things I pay attention to on an application:

* total amount of debt
* # of debts
* recency of debts
* bad checks
* use of pay day loan businesses
* prior evictions
* criminal activity
* # of addresses in past 12-24 mos.
* does information on app. match information on credit report.
* rental history
* utility charge offs

The reality of the situation is that in 11 years of property management, I have seen very few perfect credit reports. It's a reality.

If you do indeed have a pristine rental history, you would be best served by having a nicely written rental reference from your current and/or past LL's and submit that w/ your application. Your employment history is going to bode well for you too. Play up your strengths. Be very honest about faults, and learn to be financially responsible in all aspects of your life.

I JUST FILLED OUT AN APPLICATION FOR A TSA POSITION THEY NEEDED A SF-50 FORM I GOOGLE SEARCH AND FOUND 1?

They only want an SF-50 if you have worked for the federal government before. If you haven't, then you won't have one to send in. It's not something you fill out yourself. It's something that Human Resources fills out when you are hired, when you select your life insurance options, when you get promoted or reassigned, when you get your annual pay adjustment, and when you resign or leave one agency to go to another one.

How many days after you fill out a job application should you call back?

I just finished filling out job applications for retail stores. I've always been told that you should call back after a couple of days to first check to see if your application has been processed, and then a few days later to check to see if they've looked at your application (they say this under the theory that the people who are responsible for arranging interviews will most likely remember your eagerness and then call you back for an interview.) Is this true at all?

If it is generally true, then how long should you wait before you call to ask at all about your application?

Can I just fill my VISA Schengen application on pc and print it or should I print it and fill it by hand?

Yes. If a fully electronic/online option is not available, fill it in, print it, sign it. For extra credit, scan after printing and apply Optical Code Recognition (OCR) software to it, to see if what was printed matches what was scanned. This could conceivably speed up the processing of your visa application.

I filled out my SSC CGL application form, but it is showing that the form is provisionally accepted. Why?

Hello!When you register, your application is “Provisionally Accepted”. This is because during the online submission you do not provide any necessary document they require.Document Verification takes place once you qualify the exam, if all your documents are found valid then you are “Formally Accepted”.For any other query related to SSC CGL you can read SSC CGL FAQs.To read more articles related to SSC CGL, visit Testbook Blog.

I am filling out an application and they ask for first name, last name and former name. What is the former name?

The term, “Former names” (in America) may refer to married women who take their husband’s last name when they are married. This practice has a long tradition!A woman in America is born with the last name of her parents. When the girl grows up, this last name is referred to as her, “maiden name.”The practice of retaining the “maiden name” upon marriage became popular in America during the rise of the Feminist movement. Some of the Feminists believe it is “unnecessary” for a woman upon marriage, to change her last name to that of her spouse’s last name. This practice has gained in popularity.As a result, some women upon marriage, do retain their “maiden name.” Others who marry choose to place a hypen between their maiden name and husband’s last name. This forms a new last name for these women. Still other women stay with tradition upon marriage and simply change their last name to their husband’s last name.But, there is more. Some women who get a divorce (in USA,) change their last names back from their husband’s last name to the (last) name they were born with (their “maiden name.”)I hope this explanation gives you some clarity for the reason applications are written asking for, “other names.” Below is an example for your clarification.Jane Doe grows up and marries John Smith. Her name choices are:Jane Doe (keeps her “maiden name”)Jane Doe-Smith (hyphenates “maiden name” and “married name”)Jane Smith (takes her “married name”)

How to fill out a application with no work experience. What do I leave blank?

Always put down your volunteer work. If you don't have the info for the contact manager, call the places where you used to volunteer and find out. Also, don't just put in applications. Call the place of business and speak with the hiring manager. When you speak with him/her, tell him/her your name and briefly talk about yourself. Let them know that you have no work experience, but you're a hard worker and you're desperate to work for the business. Also say that you'd love for this to be your first job and know a little about the company you're trying to work for. After you let him/her know that, be straight-forward and ask if you could have an interview to be scheduled because if you don't, it will be easy for the manager to say that he will look over your app. and to call back at a later time. So stand out and let him/her know right then.
Don't just call, go to the place where you're trying to work and speak with the manager in person. This ALWAYS helps. Well, with that being said, I hope everything goes good for you. Good luck*
