I Just Found That I Am Expecting Quadruplets After Trying And Trying Me And My Husband Want To Go

Names for Quadruplets?

I like Grace, Bailey, Mary-Kate and Callie out of those but there are far sweeter names for them xxx CONGRATULATIONS AND THE BEST OF LUCK my twins will be hard enough!XX

Quadruplets!! What should I do?

I absolutely do not recommend an abortion. There are other options- such as adoption- that would be better than that. Congratulations, first of all, for what you have been chosen to do!

I have watched specials on TV about people who deliver several children at one time. I will not lie, it is ABSOLUTELY challenging. But you honestly should consider going to Salvation Army and seeing if they have a center that provides support. Most charities that offer a clothing closet also have resources or aid available for pregnancy, family planning, and finances. You ought to consider those options.

Also, you need to check with your County Assistance/welfare office about what medical or financial options you will possibly qualify for. Most pregnant women will qualify for full medical benefits during and after her pregnancy. If your income is only within the average 'middle class" range, you stand a good chance for food and monetary benefits once the children are born. They have a chart that they use.

Expect your baby shower guests to likely help MORE than they have at previous showers- they will all be very understanding since they already know you. See if you can possibly invite all of your work colleagues, and/or all of your friends from your Church or whatever religious/community organizations you are part of. Maybe your six year old would be allowed to give invitations to her teachers for all of the parents of her classmates, or your 4 year old's day care workers might be able to come. Aim big!

I will be praying that you find your way with ease and love.

My husband has found out he has a very low sperm count of 10mill/ml. How is this possible when he has 4 kids?

A normal "load" contains 50 -300million sperms, (half what it used to 25 years ago, recent research has discovered).
So allowing for the chance factor, your likelihood of conceiving will be 1/5th normal, but would still give a high success rate if you are "receptive".
The fact that you are having sperm counts done would indicate that you are trying for another baby.
It only takes one sperm to make you pregnant of course, so you could just keep on trying your luck.
To increase the chance of success, IVF usually involves implanting several fertilised eggs and multiple births are common. You say "our children" so with four kids already, you may not really want to take the risk of triplets or quads.

I'm having quadruplets!?

I need names for my quadruplets! I'm eight months in and this is what I have so far and they are all boys.

Skyler Jay
Asher Ray (Do you think that Jay and Ray are too much alike, should I add some more letters to Ray,like Rayden. If so, what?)
Basil (... I can't think of another middle name)
Elwood Oaken (I am not changing Oaken because it is after my husband's middle name.)

What do you think of these names?Any suggestions? I like cool and unique names, for middle names I don't like just ordinary names. For example, Raine, Jay, Ray, and Oaken are sort of have that nature feel. Although for first names I don't exactly want that nature feel, I want it to be a little more modern but unique and cool.
These are some of my ideas for Basil's middle names- Finn (I was thinking that Basil should have two middle names and maybe Finn could be the third one. This is partly because I think that sounds good on the name Basil and because I also come from a family of four and only my sister had two middle names.

What are my chances of conceiving twins/triplets?

Your husbands genetics play zero part in you concieving multiples. The reason is because the occurance of multiples is when one egg splits during development creating two or more identicle embryos or when you ovulate and release more than one egg to be fertilized.

identical births are just by chance... however, it has been found that there are links between certain races (african mainly) having more identical births and people eating a lot of yams tend to have a higher percentage of identical births because of the hormonal reaction from such a diet.

fraternal births are linked to genetics or the result of fertility treatments. In your case, you are ovulating and releasing probably any where from 1-4 eggs each time you ovulate which increases your chances of having multiple births. There is not a % chance that you have of concieving multiples again since how many eggs your ovulate will vary from month to month. You can visit a OBGYN to help determine how many eggs you are releasing and perhaps try to concieve a certain number instead of leaving it up to chance. Perhaps you want 4 kids? You may end up with 6 or 8 if you give birth again without seeking professional help first.

Good luck! Perhaps 3 children is enough for you? :)

Names for Quadruplets? (Boys)?

Me and my husband just found out we are expecting 4 beautiful boys! I cannot decide what to name them though!!! Me and my husbands last name is Price if that helps at all!! I need first and middle names ASAP. I like modern names but ones that aren't really out there like some people have been naming their kids. Old fashioned names are okay, but I like names that are more popular now a days you know? Thank you so much!!

I had a dream that I gave birth to quadruplets... What does this mean?

Recently there have been queries of my fertility. When I was 18 I suffered from anovulation which is where my ovulation is not productive every month and sometimes my follicles fill with fluid rather than an egg so conceiving could be difficult. I'm 20 now and alongside my anovulation I've now been told I have polycystic ovaries and need further diagnostic tests and that I may have to start trying now rather than waiting. (I'm engaged to be married and we've been together for 4 years, trying wouldn't be an issue) We haven't really started to try but nor have we been careful. I'm a few days late which is probably due to stress with my uni assignments and general bad moods. But I had a very vivid dream that I had quadruplets and it's been on my mind a lot since wondering what it meant. It was very vivid I can remember what they all look like too. My friend also said that she had a dream that I was pregnant too. I know generally pregnancy dreams can represent new and upcoming events in your life or creations but there isn't anything new on the horizon for me and the fact it was about quadruplets, does that mean there are 4 new things? Also I should say that in this dream I was elated with the fact I had quads and wouldn't say that I'd be scared of having them. One website said that my body could be aware of the condition it's in but I don't know. Any views on what this could mean? Please and Thankkk yoooouuuu =) xx

Ladies, did you get pregnant after you stopped using birth control or was it difficult to get pregnant?

I got pregnant immediately 4 times.  Once ended in miscarriage of quadruplets in week 7 (I had no idea I was carrying quadruplets).  I believe that occurred because I stopped taking the pill mid-cycle and it must have confused my body, releasing more than one egg, but I have no way to prove that.  It scared me out of the stop taking the pill and go for it mentality.  I think the body needs to regulate for a few weeks or it can go haywire like it did for me.With the three successful (singleton) pregnancies, I got pregnant within 2 weeks of stopping the pill two times.  I didn't know I was pregnant with my first until I was 20 weeks though because I had just gotten off a five year heroin addiction and was used to not having periods (amenorrhea).  I was also quite underweight and everything hurt and felt new and strange, I attributed it to the feeling of being off drugs for the first time in a long time.  But counting back with the midwife I chose for that first birth, I got pregnant exactly 2 weeks after I got ONE period after being clean for one month exactly... it was amazing.  I guess you could say heroin was my birth control the first time (5 years of no periods).  The second, third and fourth times I was using Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo.  I currently use FAM (Fertility Awareness Method) and the LadyComp (https://www.lady-comp.com/ - they make a BabyComp too, btw!) and am breastfeeding a three year old (so she doesn't get much milk or throw off my hormones anymore because it's mostly for comfort).  I use a spermicide backup on days when the Ladycomp and my cervical mucus tell me I'm ovulating.  I recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Wechsler to learn more about when you can and cannot get pregnant.

How long does it take to get pregnant after removing an implant?

You should assume fertility will return immediately. Some women have gotten pregnant within 7–14 days of having the implant removed. If you're actively trying to get pregnant, then if you're under 35, most women will get pregnant within a year. If more than a year has gone by, it's time to consult a doctor. For women 35 and over, it’s recommended to see a doctor if 6 months have passed without conceiving. At any age, if you're trying to get pregnant, make sure you're taking a vitamin supplement that includes 400 mcg of folic acid in order to help prevent birth defects.

Is it possible to explicitly make twins or triplets in IVF?

One can place multiple embryos in the uterus, more than three, then if more than the desired number of embryos successfully implant, one can undergo selective reduction, choosing which fetuses to abort. However, most people who are infertile and have gone to the expense and through the difficulty of the IVF procedure try to avoid killing fetuses because they value them as potential children. Selective reduction is usually only used when there are so many fetuses that the health of the mother and fetuses is at risk, a severe congenital defect is discovered, or one or more fetuses are already dying or dead and endangering another fetus and the mother.
