If I was going to start a gaming YouTube channel where would I start?

Okay so you've already taken the first step and decided you're going to make a YouTube channel. You've even decided you want to make gaming videos. However before you continue let's just take a quick step back and ask a few questions. 1. Who are you making these videos for?Why is it that you decided to make videos? Do you want to show your friends and family? Do you want to show your online buddies what sweet things you can do in this game? Do you simply want to record yourself so you can watch your videos back at a later date? These are all questions you should be considering when trying to figure out who you really are making these videos for. You should consider who you intend your audience to be and then compare that to who is actually watching your videos when you release them. 2. What games will you be playing? There are people making videos about every game imaginable. Find games that you enjoy playing to make videos about not just games everybody seems to like. There are fans out there who like watching every game so pick a game wisely too because once you start making lots of videos about a game it isn't that simple to switch to another. 3. What kind of gaming videos do you want to make? There are countless of types of gaming videos including let's play, you commentating online, montages, etc. Pick one kind of video to make or more if you'd like and make them consistently. You can make different kinds of videos but consistency is key and it keeps your audience coming back for more week after week. Next, once you've decided that you should do this let's continue and pick a gaming name. Like it or not, names stick so make sure you pick a good one. You can call yourself whatever you want but just know that once you've started getting a following you're stuck with it and it is almost impossible to change. Lastly, get out and record. Really spend some time and use a good quality recording set up. Make sure you have a high quality game recorder a good microphone and some editing software. Quality is king when creating online content and on YouTube this is no exception. Hope this helped I use many of these tricks on my own YouTube channel (http://youtube.com/martintmedina) and find they really help. Good luck!

What is a good age to start making gaming YouTube videos?

Mate you are well away to making YouTube videos, in fact you have equiptment a lot of YouTubers dream for even myself XD i only have a £200 custom built PC from 2008 lol and i do YouTube, i produce decent quality videos but nowhere near as crisp as they could be, you on the other hand have the equipment to produce high quality videos, fast, efficient with one of the best USB microphone (i use the yeti too) & a capture card with new consoles! Consider yourself very lucky, I'd say start straight away! The sooner the better that way when you get older you will be producing the best videos on the web and learning from your mistakes.

I'm getting a new PC soon and will be recording PC gameplay for now i'm only recording my Xbox & running windows xp lol.

Your channel is VERY professional, like i said i do YouTube and I'm nowhere near what you have XD i have almost 8k subs and 1million views i been YouTubing for 1 year 4 months now :) It's a real fun thing to do! with your equipment you will be able to exceed mine and maybe channels easily.

Here is my channel: https://www.youtube.com/lukegamesofficia...

Good Luck on your YouTube career you will go far!

Asking how to make a video game walkthrough on youtube?

use camstudio (from http://camstudio.org/ ) program to record your computer screen, then upload.

--for best editing....

use windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)... it can help you make beautiful slideshow or video clip(e.g. mixing your songs with pictures/video/lyric/etc).... then save it as video file such as wmv file format... finally upload.

or .. Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces....

this will help you.... Use 'zillatube'. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.

Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more.

It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mp3/mpg videos with windows movie maker... save your file as wmv and then upload.

It works very well....just google search for "zillatube", and select the first search result for download...

My son watches videos of games being played on YouTube and most of the time he prefers that to actually play the game himself. Should I be worried?

Not at all!In fact it’s actually a very smart thing to doSaving MoneyThink about it, your son is saving a ton of money by not having to buy every game in order to see what he likes. Some kids will buy any game that gets a good rating on IGNorant, but your son clearly has his wits about him. Personally, I love unwinding while watching Markiplier or GameGrumps especially when they raise money for charity.Saving TimeI don’t have time to play every game or the money to buy one and my interests and skil can be limited. I’m not particularly good at Overwatch so I like listening to skillful players. Let’s plays also show you games you may never have even considered picking up. I never would have spent money on ‘This is the police’ so being able to watch it is useful. It can also help you keep up to date with the gaming community/memes and such. I don’t play Skyrim, but watching other people helps me understand the horse meme and such.Sense of belonging to a communityLike I said I love watching markiplier and being part of the ‘fandom’ is wonderful. You meet people with similar interests and develop in-jokes and it feels very special. If you look in the forums for Markiplier and such you will see suicide help groups, LGBT support groups and niches inside the fandom. They’re united by their love of one Let’s Player. It’s a Substitute for when we used to have our friends overIn an era gone by where we had split screen rather than online multiplayer we used to chat. A letsplayer helps you relieve that experience in a way. During lives streams you can even interact with the player, It’s great fun!Overall, humans have always liked to see people test their mettle. It’s why the Olympics or the Colosseum exist or modern day televised sports. :-)TLDR: Your son will be fine, he’s just another awesome member of the gaming community.

Need your imput! What video games should I play on my youtube!?

So Im a gal who makes videos on youtube, Im looking to expand to get more subscribers and looking into doing makeup tutorials and extra stuff. Basically, I am also going to be doing video games, kinda like pewdiepie (I LOVEE HIM) but not obviously since I am not him lol. What games would you recommend for me to film and play!! I caught my son watching a disgusting youtube video please help!?

My 12 year old son spends a lot of his time on the family computer where he does both his homework and relaxes with video games or movies on youtube. He use to watch videos of the game Minecraft, but he had started tuning into a new type of videos recently. I asked him what he was watching when I noticed he wasn't watching Minecraft one time, and he told me it was a man called Prank Invasion. He told me he does all sorts of pranks on people in public. At the time I didn't think anything of it, because youtube would block anything that was violent or harassment, but I delved into the computer's browsing history the other day to find some shocking footage.

This man, "Prank Invasion", he walks up to young girls (about 20 years old), challenges them to rock, paper, scissors, and pursues to kiss them erotically! It is borderline pornography! I feel that my son watches these videos to fuel his sex drive, as we have parental blocked the computer, his iPad, his Xbox and all of his laptops so that no pornography can be accessed. I asked my husband to have a talk with him, and he came back with some shocking information.

According to my husband;
My son was in his bedroom, door closed. As my husband approached the door, he recalled my son saying this to himself. "What will it be, rock paper or scissors? Rock beats scissors, wait until you see my rock!". My husband didn't open the door, but has been acting weird around my son lately. Is this normal behaviour for a 12 year old boy?
