I think you should contact the doctor that prescribed all of those medications. Kava kava will probably intensify the effects of all of your other medications.Some herbs can have very strong effects on your body. If you can't get a hold of your doctor, call a pharmacist they should know.

What happens if you take 20 sleeping pills?
I thought that I answered the question before.20 pills means nothing because you have not told me what dose of what drug.The most dangerous of the sleeping pills, the short acting barbiturates, have not been available in pill form for many years. (Executioners can't even get the injectable stuff). Valium by it self (no other drugs or alcohol) is so non- lethal, that a potentially lethal dose of pills goes into the many thousands. If I put a lethal dose of Valium into a punch bowl in front of you, you would be sleeping peacefully before got anywhere near finishing the pills.It might take a while to wake from 20 of any sedative. You know what: Just don’t do it.
Ativan with Tylenol pm??
It is safe, The reason tylenol PM is called PM is because it has an antihistamine as well as a decongestant. The antihistamine will make you drowsy. The only side effect would be increased sedation. I would only take them both if either were not effective by itself. If you took the ativan and it did not work and you took it properly (45 minutes before intended sleep while relaxed) ... It would have been good if you could have indicated why you are taking these two ... do you have a cold and it is complicated by insomnia or do you just have really bad insomnia and you think the combo would work better or is it something completely diffferent? Is it ok to take 0.5 mg Ativan in place of Xanax?
I am an Registered Nurse with a Master's degree. Yes it is OK for you to take the Ativan. It is in the same class of drugs as the Xanax. These class of drugs are called Benzodiazipines. Valium is also in this class. Ativan takes about 30 to 45 minutes to take affect. Most patients say that it is not as fast acting as Xanax. But it wont hurt you. However, you shouldn't ever take the two medicine together. Which I'm sure that you wont.

Why is paxil better than ativan?
about a month ago I have had alot of medical stress, which has out of the blue caused me anxiety everyday/night. I have had mri's, cat scans, etc...and there's nothing majorly wrong, just some sort of urology problem they are trying to figure out. I have taken many antibiotics, and during the second course this wave of adrenalen hit. I guess anxiety. well a month later, I pace, cry, lightheaded, can't barely sleep with shaky and racing heart. One doc put me on a "quick fix" of ativan 2x per day. does a little, but I still don't feel normal. Internist wants me on Paxil 10mg, and start weaning off the ativan soon. why is paxil better than ativan? whats the difference really? will paxil make me feel horrible/ I need to be able to function in the daytime. I have children. my quality of life has gone from great to horrible in a month with this horrible anxiety. Hormone levels were tested and they are normal. I am 45, and a woman. I have been on a birth control pill for a while, which i'm stopping, just incase that isn't helping. anybody know much abut paxil? thanks!

I know this is a little late for the question, since you already opted to not take the ativan. But, good choice. File this info for future use. Alcohol works by stimulating GABA receptors - sedating you and turning your brain off. Ativan works by amplifying any stimulation to GABA receptors - either naturally by GABA or artificially by alcohol. So the combination is more than additive. Alcohol - benzo combinations are probably the leading causes of accidental fatal overdoses after opiates. They are also unpredictable. I daresay 9 of 10 people could probably be OK with 5 shots and 1mg ativan 9 times out of 10, but do you want to be the 1 in 100 who doesn't? If you drink, don't use benzos. If you use benzos, don't drink.
