I’m 13 years old, 5’6, and 131 pounds. Do I need to lose weight?

Hi, I see you got a lot of answers to your question about your weight.I see most answers talked about liking your body and how you are just fine as you are, etc etc. Blah blah.ONE, only ONE guy —-ONE was smart enough to give you the correct advice and one which is on medical charts for you to follow, He told you to lose weight.There are weight charts for kids, I had to look up the correct weight for an 11 year old guy/girl. It was 1O1 pounds. And you add FIVE pounds for each year after you are 12.Let’s do some math, 1O1 plus O for being 12 stays at 1O1.At 13 you start to add pounds, FIVE per year, so you should be weighing in and around 1O7 pounds and so lets round it off to 11O pounds for you to remember an easy number.Do some running, some fast walking, some swimming, some dancing and have some fun at it, SKIP sugar stuff, cookies, cakes, etc. Anything sweet is a kind of sugar so keep that low on your list of foods to eat. Sugar makes you hungry.Eggs help you lose weight, specially boiled because they make handy snacks, and you can eat 4 or more a day and they keep you full, water, plain water helps you lose weight.Eat all you can, raw,Eat the skins on your fruits.If you want smoothies, banana will make them sweet and so will apples, A chunk of either or of both, Just don’t make an all green stuff smoothie, gives terrible stomach aches, add apple to just about any smoothie. Carrot juice with apples and cinnamon over ice is delicious.Your hunch that you are carrying too much weight for your age is right, Do what I shared with you, also skip pasta, rice and potato, for faster weight loss.In 3 months, write back and tell us how close to 11O you got, Go for it.

I am 14 and i weigh 130 pounds and im 5'2 how can i easly lose 30 pounds in 2 1/2 months without pills.?

drink alotta milk. whole milk. and dont eat too much. drinking 6 glasses of milk. 8 oz = 1 glass. has hormones and nutrients that'll help u grow and make ur fat into curves. u do have some extra weight, but if u drink milk and take vitamins, and overall not eat much.. like 700 calories of healthy normal food including fruits/veggies. 48 oz. milk. u should be going to the bathroom well = good metabolism, ur stomach will shrink a bit because ur eating less mass of food and more liquid from milk and u'll get the habit to eat not so much as u did b4. sprinting for short periods of time is awesome rather than long endurance exercises cuz they tend to be more efficient in burning fat and helps u grow taller too. get plenty of rest and when u feel hungry, think about urself how u want to be and drink milk. oh yea. when u run on the treadmill. like dont stop. really run/fast jog for a good 10 min. that should be like a mile. twice a day-ish. limit it to running a 10-15 min period per hour or ur body's gonna go into "conserve fat mode". sleep 8hrs minimum daily

Is it safe to lose 10 pounds in a week?

I remember about 13 years ago, I joined weight watchers. I weighed 210 lbs - I am a 5'7" male. I was 41 at the time. I followed the program religiously. I bumped my activity a little, but no serious exercise till the third or fourth week. Started at about 1450 calories per day. (They actually used a point system at the time).Here were my weekly weight losses for the 20 weeks I stuck with it: 9  3  4  4  1  3   4  3  2.6  3  1.4  2.2  1.4  3.4   -.8   1  1  2  1  .8 I lost 50# in 20 weeks about 2.5# per week. While I lost 9# the first week, there is no weigh it was all fat. My guess is that it was 3# fat, 6# water.  So it is technically possible to lose 10# the first week of a serious diet. But it is probably difficult to do it safely unless you are 50# overweight (like I was) and the second or third week will settle down between 1-3 # per week.   In any case, the 10#, being mostly water will hardly affect your looks or your ability to fit into clothes. It is just a number on a scale. Those other good  things don't start to happen until 3 or 4 weeks in.

Im 15 but i weigh 100 pounds?

Honey,I promise you that isn't fat what so ever.You do not need to take laxatives or force yourself to vomit.Take a deep look in the mirror and see how beautiful you're.you don't need anyone's seal of approval.You be you, your weight doesn't change who you are at all.What matters is that you're a decent human being.It doesn't matter about weight,class,sexuality.As long as you're a nice person.i'm here if you need to talk.But seriously find the biggest tub of icecream you can find and eat it.YOLO. Plus no ones weight defines them.I'd say you don't need to lose weight at all.Continue being you and be proud.I hope one day You will be truly confident about your body and see the way others see you.

I weigh 120 pounds and I am 11 years old!?

Honey, i know what you mean i was overweight when i was about 9 years old was actually 159 pounds i weighed more than my 17 year old sister. I was constantly teased which made me feel very bad about myself. So i decided to make a change I started exercising 5 times a week for about 45 minutes a day and eating smaller proportions of food but ate at 3 every 3 hours.s that are good to do is WALK, Jassercise, Go Biking, and Kick Boxing. Losing weight is not an easy thing but it is not what you should be afraid of it's just you taking charge of your body. Now i'm in a size 4 and is actually more fit than my sister.
But take charge of your life and be healthy

I weigh 72 pounds (14 yrs old...) and they want me to lose more weight.... help I might get sick!?

Ok I dance ballet 6 days a week (11h a week) which is pretty much a lot and umm i take it very seriously. I'm 14 years old and weigh 72 pounds. If I'm correct I believe most people my age weigh around 120-140 pounds. My teacher said I need to have a goal to weigh 50 pounds now (my other goal was 75 pounds) but I'm just not losing weight anymore it's like I've reached my maximum of losing weight. I need a trick to lose weight FAST without being anorexic and stuff.
Quitting or explaining to my teacher that I can't do it isn't an option for those about to answer that. Dance is my life and my career goal is to be a ballerina. If i'm going to be a ballerina I need to lose this 22 pounds. And yes my weight does affect my dancing because they can reject me from companies for being too fat etc.

How long will it take to lose 100 pounds?

It's NOT about eating less, it's about eating right.
The walking is fine, but if you want to lose weight quicker, run.

I'm going to give you a weekly schedule of what you should do and what you should eat.

Monday
Eat 5 meals, 7am, 9am, 11am, 1pm, and 3 pm. no fats, no carbs, at all, this means potatoes, bananas, bread, pasta. PROHIBITED. eat veggies, and fish/beef/chicken in EVERY meal. Chicken in the morning? YES! why not. SMALL PORTIONS!!!
Jog/Run at least 10 min. w/out stopping.

Tuesday
Same eating schedule
do 4, 40 yard sprints, 2, 20 yard sprints (as fast as u can), rest 1 minute in between each sprint.

Wednesday
Same eating schedule
do some squats without weights. bend your knees, and jump as high as you can. So what this means is go low, and explode up. 3 sets of 20

Thursday
Same eating schedule
Jog/Run 20 min. w/out stopping

Friday
Same eating schedule
Same SPRINT routine

Saturday
Same eating schedule
Same SQUAT routine

Sunday
Eat what you want, YES! anything you want, but eat 5 meals, and small portions! DONT FORGET!
Day off-No workout.

With this I lost about 80 pounds in 11 months, so it should work. This will make you slim down a bunch, and quickly, while toning you up. But if you want to tone further, for example the "love handles" and the "belly", then add 3 sets of 20 crunches to your Exercise routine DAILY.
