Why do i keep getting a url error message?

When you browse to a web site by name the Internet uses a Directory Name Service (DNS) to translate the name to an IP address. If the DNS service is slow or not configured correctly (or just broken) you'll be able to access some sites but not others. Some DNS information is cached (saved) on your computer so rebooting might actually help. There are a couple of ways to check the DNS settings using the IPConfig program from a DOS prompt but I would check with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to see what's going on. It might just be that the site is very busy.

Why do I keep getting this Security Warning message pop up everytime I open up Internet Explorer?

Okay, whenever I click on Internet Explorer on my computer (which leads to Google as my homepage), this message pops up saying, "Do you want to veiw only the webpage content that was delivered securely? This webpage contains content that will not be delivered using a secure HTTPS connection, which could compromise the security of the entire webpage."

Why am i getting this forbidden message "403 forbidden"?

The 403 Forbidden HTTP status code indicates that you were able to communicate with the server, but the server will not let you access what was requested. This response is returned by the Apache web server when directory listings have been disabled. Microsoft IIS responds in the same way when directory listings are denied.

Special permission needed to access the site -- a password and/or username if it is a registration issue. Other times you may not have the proper permissions set up on the server or the site's administrator just doesn't want you to be able to access the site.

Why am I suddenly getting error 404 messages on some web sites and not others?

This one’s really hard to make a call on. Are the web pages where you’re getting this message always giving you the error message? Are you typing in the address correctly? Do you know if the sites are down for maintenance or have been shut down? These are some of the typical reasons.

If none of these are the case, then it might be an issue with your computer. Some websites run almost entirely on Flash or Java. If your registry files for Flash or Java are missing or corrupted, that can cause you to encounter these errors.

Missing and corrupted registry files are a pretty common occurrence for Windows users. After so long without routine maintenance, registry files can be lost due to registry clutter, or they can get damaged from frequent use.

The way to fix this is to use registry cleaner tools. They are fast, easy to use, and it fixes all the problems in your registry. You can get it here: http://optimize-your-pc.com/regcure/repairing_errors.php.

I keep getting a message on different sites (Facebook, Google) that say "Heroku | No such app There is no app configured at that hostname. Perhaps the app owner has renamed it, or you mistyped the URL."  Anyone know what's going on?  How do I fix it?

you get that message when the URL you are accessing is pointing at heroku (a cloud hosting provider) but no application has been configured on Heroku for that domain so it responds with the error. If it's not your site then it's down to the owner to fix.
