I Keep Getting Spam E-mail From A Kroger Employee Forum. I

Kroger FMLA pay?

FMLA is ALWAYS unpaid. I expect the 2 weeks off for depression was not doctor ordered - and you were taking a personal leave - using vacation and another week under FMLA. FMLA is a leave that one can use to take care of oneself or a family member for medical reasons not related to personal medical reasons not covered under disability. FMLA is not paid - it is only job protected. Meaning one can take time off and keep one's job. Not get paid - but able to keep one's job.

Medical leave is a different thing. Kroger may have medical/disability insurance - which covers time off to recover from medical things - for which one is under medical care authorized by doctors- like surgeries or heart attacks.

Have no clue what you will get paid - generally, this medical/disability leave pays about 65% of pay. And in many cases - the first week is unpaid.

In your case - could be you use one week vacation. The second week - which you were taking unpaid anyway MAY count as the first week of the medical leave and be unpaid. And the third week off may be the first week of the paid medical leave - and that is only if you are out that long.

For answers on how this works with your employer - you need to talk to them.

I keep getting the same message!!!!?

It's happening to everyone. I got over 300 copies of the same Best Answer to my inbox at Yahoo in two days - two days by the way is too long to be "working on it" and it's late so obviously going into 3 days now and counting. I spammed them and now the messages are going to my Spam Folder. I don't want to have to sift through all of that to find my actual Email Yahoo!!! (sigh)

I also for a week now have a problem with Emails I send also duplicating to my draft folder - they never corrected that either.

Yahoo is going going gone these days.

Keep getting same email?

Alright, yes yahoo is aware of it, and so are we users about it
this is happening since about almost 24 hours now

it's a glitch, which is sending out BA notices for the same BA's every 40 min
you get the initial 10 points for the BA at the time the BA was chosen

I am having a problem with over bearing e-mails for job oppertunities... is this a scam?

I don't know that specific company but be VERY careful as Cyprus is the new hotbed for work from home money laundering scams. They hire people for work from home jobs, pay them with fake checks, then want them to buy "supplies" through Western Union"

NO consultancy would ever hire a random person over the internet to handle any sort of business. If they really had 12 agents, one of them would interview you in person

And they are breaking the law by asking for your age and sex - this is illegal. NO legitimate company would ever ask for this

NEVER accept a job or provide personal information to anyone you have not met in person

EDIT - ask them for their US tax ID number. if they do not have a US Tax ID number they cannot offer you any sort of work
Just googled the website followed by the word scam found this on the FraudWatch site

Verizon Wireless Employee Discount?

I started working at Kroger about 2 weeks ago and the Verizon Wireless discount was included in my employee benefits. I don't have a cell phone and I'm trying to start a family plan with 2 of my siblings over 18; I'm only 16. I get 20% off monthly charges but do I get 20% off on the phone, also? I'm getting the Droid 2 with the $30 data plan, 700 anytime mins, and unlimited text. I went to the discount site and it said I had to fax over proof that I work there and all. Can I just go in a Verizon Wireless store and do all of this? Also, what would be the price paying up front? Just the $200 for the phone and $30 for the activation fee? Any information is much appreciated.

Less than 1% are checking diplomas at the recruiting process. Your question however implies to me that some readers could be tempted to modify or even create a diploma that they did not earn or not in the desired result.Such move is not recommendable because unethical and in this case criminal acts (fraud, document fraud) never pay of. The most likely checking party by the way are your colleagues who are competing with you on the next promotion. Also companies in legal disputes like unfair dismissals love to take a deeper look at the past application files. There is a reason why there is a personal folder in HR.One of the worst case scenarios could be a large liability case because you were working under false diploma conditions. Let's say you are causing a major damage or even personal injury during your work (normally covered by company liability insurance) and during the investigation it is found that you were missing the professional qualification. The end result would full personal and criminal liability.

In the United States, the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 is more of an opt out law than an opt in law. In other words, while it may be legal to send unsolicited commercial email in the U.S., you must include an unsubscribe link and honor any such unsubscribes within 10 days. Of course, there are many other requirements as well, such as don't use deceptive subject lines, don't use misleading header information, etc. It's important to note that while the Federal Trade Commission provides a great summary of the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 (http://business.ftc.gov/document...), it doesn't speak to the additional details provided in the actual Act. For example, the Act goes on to indicate that you may be fined further if you do the following:"obtained electronic mail addressees through improper means, including--(I) harvesting electronic mail addresses of the users of a website, proprietary service, or other online public forum operated by another person without the authorization of such person; and(II) randomly generating electronic mail addresses by computer..."In reality, though, most professional email service providers in the U.S. state explicitly in their terms and conditions that the user may not send unsolicited email to email addresses for which you do not have explicit permission to mail to. So, practically speaking, it's difficult to send unsolicited email in the U.S. as well. In many other countries, the requirement actually goes even further to prohibit the emailing of unsolicited email. In other words, you need permission before emailing to someone. The full text of the 2003 law can be found here:http://www.ftc.gov/os/caselist/0...It's not a lot of fun to read through, but it does go into quite a bit more detail than the summaries you may find around on the internet. You may also find this video overview I did of CAN-SPAM of interest:To note, it's always recommended that you review any legal questions you have about emailing with your counsel to help ensure that you are not in violation of the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 or its revisions which occurred in 2008. Your counsel should always be the final word for your specific situation.
