I Know Some Lyrics To A Blues Song But Cant Seem To Find It

Does anybody know if there is a song with the lyrics "please, stay, i want to hear you pray"?

i've heard it in the movie "almost famous" , the moment when Penny Lane and William arrive at the Hyatt House and a guy and a girl play it on the guitar, in a hotel room. i can't seem to find the song on google

Blues fans: Does anyone know the meaning behind the song?

There was a time when it was fashionable for black women to keep their hair very short but to always wear a wig when they went out. It allowed them to change their hairstyle and color at a whim. As the previous answers stated the singer in the song was breaking up with his girl and wanted to take the wig he had bought her with him.
Junior Wells used to sing a song called "Short Haired Woman" which contains the lyrics:
"I don't want no woman
If her hair ain't no longer than mine.
She ain't good for nothin' but trouble;
Keeps her man buying wigs all the time."

I heard this Christmas song at the mall but don't know where to find it. Any help?

There's a great free app for this called Shazam which ‘listens' to the song and identifies it for you, as well as the platforms you can get it from.Alternatively, sometimes doing an internet search for the lyrics you recall (or even the theme such as ‘song about reindeer with red nose') could help, or if you know who the artist is.You could try going to the store you heard it from directly and asking for their input, too, or humming it to someone who might be able to help.

How is it that I don't know a song? I rarely listen to songs, I can't remember any lyrics. Why is it that I feel I am the only one with this issue?

I’m in agreement with Ty B— if you rarely listen to songs, why do you expect to learn any? Listen to songs!! When you hear a song that resonates with you, listen to it…AGAIN! Again and again until you CAN remember the lyrics: [most] songs are written to be easily remembered—heh…even Dylan’s (seemingly) endless songs have rhythm and rhyme to make remembering easier. Why you feel you’re the only one with this difficulty is something likely only you yourself can answer.

Does anyone know the name of the song where a man is rapping and the lady starts singing after him? I can't seem to find that song and I don't know any of the lyrics. I think it was made this year, or it's popular this year.

Look for rapper singer collaborations which have singers in featuring and not the other way round(which is more prevalent nowadays).E.g. Love the way you lie part 1 &2Part 1 is Eminem ft. Rihanna. And also it is a part of Eminem 's album Recovery . So naturally the rapper here has more contribution(3 verses) while Rihanna sings only the chorus. The same analogy can be applied to many such collaborations.Part 2 on the other hand is Rihanna ft. Eminem and was a track on the singer's album Loud. So going by the ‘concept’ stated earlier, Eminem now just sings a verse while Rihanna has the main contribution.Recently, Eminem's latest released track Walk on Water has Beyonce featuring in it. And the same thing happens,I.e. after each of the rapper 's verse, the singer sings the chorus.

Who knows where i can get the sheet music for the song "St. Louis Blues" by W.C Handy, arranged by John Arpin

Try Jwpepper.com

They have lots of sheet music and audio samples!

Edit: I tried searching for you, I couldn't find anything. I am a musican and I am constantly looking for mp3's and sheet music online also. If this is a rare recording by John Arpin, and only by him, I highly doubt there is sheet music published to his version of the song unless there is a transcription somewhere, which are rare and prob not on the internet. The best deal if it is possible is to listen to the music and see if you can actually pick up what he is playing. It is good ear training!

Good luck to you! Sorry I couldn't find anything.
