Why is Generation Z so depressed?

Backstage politics are unavoidable; even adults will sabotage their child's competition to be the "star."Some kids thrive in a competitive atmosphere, but for most, it breaks their spirit and robs them of their passion, leaving children with lifelong trauma and PTSD.Lack of role modesMillennials will often cite Disney Channel pinups as "Good girls," but truthfully, those characters were disrespectful to everyone. As the internet grew, young-viewer censorship became nonexistent, leading to many preteens discovering things they shouldn't have (I'm implying heavily here) and leading to unrealistic expectations and addictions.Also, with the rise of the YouTube vlogger and pranking videos, young kids are being told that merely being known is most important—not respect for other people's lives. Why is this generation so boring?
Hi there Now days people associate modern life with the pursuit of 'things'. I must be better off because my sports car is newer than my next door neighbour sports car, and my computer has 10 jigga hertz of ram and his only has 5. ,,,and so on. It is a consumer oriented life and people have been sucked into this through crafty marketing by companies that want profit. In the old days success wasn't so much based on possessions. Success was being a good person , working hard and being a good wife , husband or child. There used to be pride in accomplishments , not possessions. Because people valued achievements hobbies that involved building , construction and experimentation were common. Now days hobbies are mindless pass times that render people brain dead. ....and that's good , because then these non thinkers will be first in line to buy the next brain numbing gimmicky product that ALWAYS falls far shorter than initial expectations. Business loves these people. The vast majority of people are figurative zombies , they believe that they have choice , but really they are on the treadmill that powers industry.,,, a treadmill that goes on endlessly. The most humorous part is that people think that these technological devices are making their life better and smarter but the opposite is true. People are becoming dumber to the point that many cant even read. In fact a recent survey said that 32 million Adults in the US cant read good enough to understand what is written on a pill bottle. 1 in 7 cant read at all , and we are not talking about illegal immigrants here , we are talking about real everyday Americans. Society is screwed up , very , very screwed., but as long as people have their beer and their PlayStation , they don't really care.
Why does no career take you seriously when you are in your 20s?
Because you know NOTHING about anything when you’re 20, unless you have spent many hours in your childhood learning something. NO ONE owes you respect. It’s something you EARN.If you have a “career” at age 20 you should be focusing on learning to master whatever it is you are pursuing, not looking for accolades, pats on the back and respect from those around you. You haven’t earned that yet. When you show others you take your career and your work seriously, when you’re humble and you show respect to those who are older and DO know more than you, you will BEGIN to get the respect you seek. If you’re just looking for respect you’ll be disappointed. You should be looking for mastery of your craft.
What is something that your generation experienced that the younger generation never will?
Discipline? Personal Responsibility? True education without political corruption? True actual morality; I know that I could ride a bike without a helmet my whole childhood; I could swing and climb jungle gyms; we could go out anywhere until after dark without fear for our well being; ordinary people actually helped other ordinary people for the sake of it. Hitch hiking from Atlanta to New Orleans (and back) without fear. Comedians who were funny and everyone knew their insults weren’t to be taken seriously. Thick skin. Senses of both humor and perspective. The list goes on and on.

ok so I wore a Beatles shirt the other day and some kid comes up to me and is like Who are they? ME: The Beatles Still what are they? me. ummm a band? Hello? kid""hehe i bet they all are dead'( and paul McCartney just is alive and got married again the day b4. now another occasion differernt kid ( sees picture of john lennon on my notebook) Whos That? me: John Lennon kid: Oh Yeah hes that guy that got shot. and by they way i have a lot of band t shirts :) = now ths time i am wearing a janis joplin shiWho's Whos that? ur sister? me: no, janis jopwho's whos that? Blues singer from the 60s I hate my generation im 14 going on to 15. i hate it when people who listen stuff like gaga and li; they seemeyseem to have this certain 'Ghetto- Im -the -*******- ****- screw- everybody -its- all -about- me attitude' attitude and no im not awesome because i listen to the beatles either. i just cant take growing up in this generation anymore. where everyon worships rappers and jersey shore and mtv not showing music, with OVERPRICED everything, stupid/ignorant people, sagging pants being the style., and people not knowing what true love is true love to people in this generation is having sex with sodifferentffernt all of the time. and when i was at homecoming people stood in one big heard in the middle of the gym and grinded THE WHOLE TIME!its just not going to get any better:( so what is wrong these days and how do i tolerate this generation SERIOUS ANSWERS PLEASE! thanks:) and no i am not " proud of myself because i listen to old bands". thats just acting stuck up.and i know that people listen to other music than me which is fine. I just hate that they iidolize such crap. and i know "times change"
Why does this generation suck so much?
This generation sucks so bad. The music, The way everyone is so dependent on their cellphones, Peoples mindsets, it's like they can't be subjective to other peoples opinions, no one is open minded, everyone in this generation is so close minded. There is no room for "different" in this generation. Girls are slutty and want to have winged eyeliner and be the next Kardashian/Jenner and Guys are self indulgent horn dogs. The Movies are absolute crap, there is not one interesting thing on tv. Fast food no longer tastes good it's just cold plastic. There is not anything interesting or worth thinking of/pursuing in this generation. **** social media. **** your pictures and your likes... no one gives a ****. Does anyone have a personal handwriting anymore? or did we forget to "write" because typing/texting has consumed us. Relationships are a joke in this generation and everything is dependent on weather you are hashtag #taken on your social media bio... but no one takes that serious and cheating and flirting with multiple people has become acceptable in this generation. There is no point in pursuing "love" in this generation because love is paitent, kind, and this generation is the opposite of the definition of love. Everyone thinks being openly sexually obscene and smoking "weed" is so cool in this generation. SCREW IT
Why is my generation so immature?
First of all, you need to let go of that attitude. You said so yourself that you HAVE smoked and you HAVE drank before. There are millions of teenagers out there who have not done any of that. THEY are the ones who can talk and criticize those who do. However, when you do it? You look like a hypocrite. You are not any better than your peers. I know that every teenager will go through that phase in which they think that they are so much better/mature/different than all their others peers, when in all reality: You're not. You were born in the same era/year as these people and as much as you may try to appear to be different and "better" than they are, you will not be. More or less, every person generation is exactly the same simply because they are surrounded by the same technology, the same media, the same outlook on life, the same politics, etc. We have our differences, but we're all the same. It's cool and dandy that you focus on school. It's awesome that you have your mind on other things that it SEEMS most people your age don't. I applaud you for that, however, try not to be so critical of your peers. Have patience with them. They'll grow up and mature, but in the meantime, stop talking so much crap about your generation. You're going to need something to become nostalgic about when you're in your 50s talking crap about the younger generation and you can't do that if you're hating your generation and wishing you were born in another one. And btw, EVERY generation dating back to the 1800s had their pros and cons. You may think that your generation is messed up and have messed up priorities compared to previous ones, but every generation have negative aspects of them that most people would like to forget.
