I Like How These Feminists Report The Questions In Which They Get Burn

What are the different types of Feminists?

There are either three, or four, 'types' of feminism depending on your view:

- Radical Feminism - this is the form of feminism most people think of when they think of feminism, ie 'bra burning' and such. Radical feminism is revolutionary - that is, it aims to change things instantly through any means necessary - such as overthrowing the state.

- Liberal Feminism - this is the opposite to radical feminism. Liberal feminists believe in total sexual equality, and many often campaign for men's rights as well as women's rights. These are reformists - ie, they aim to get into the system and manipulate it, rather than just getting rid of it and bringing in something new.

- Marxist Feminism - this is a form of feminism which believes women are suppressed and exploited by men in a patriarchal society for economic gain and women will never be happy until this has changed.

- Duel Systems / Socialist Feminism - this form combines both liberal and marxist.

When did feminists become known as bra burners?

Bras dont prevent women from showing off their gender, if you buy the right kind it definitly enhances your womanly aspect. I think if feminists used that as a symbol I probably would not listen to what they had to say because burning bras is quite silly and not to mention ridiculous.

Witches were early feminists?

There was no need for feminism when this stuff started. Women had their own professions and owned property and land. Some small criticism of a man-made project may have caused anger in the monastries, but their main beef the monks had with women was their independence and their spiritual power in the community.

These 300 years have been 'disappeared' - the history of thousands of women burned and drowned has been swept under the carpets of history by the church. It is recent enough for the women's professional feminine agent nouns, to be now used by men: Maltster, Brewster, Webster, Baxter, (baecester OE - baker), Seamster - but not Spinster, or sister.

The monks eyed the wealth of women merchants when they denounced refined sugar as poisonous - maybe that triggered the accusation of consorting with old Nick? Women and their families forfeited their property to the church if they were found guilty of witchcraft -(os poisoning wells and causing cattle to die.) When the hysterical pornography of gynocide burned out, the monks had collected enough money to begin the building of magnificent catherdrals.

"They don't have to lynch the women
very often anymore, although
they used to - the Lord and his men
went through the villages at night, beating and killing every woman caught
outdoors.
the European witch trials took away
the independent people; two different villages
- after the trials were through that year -
had left in them, each
one living woman;
one.

Why do Feminists use Witch Hunts as examples of Male oppression of Women...?

I remember reading about this, and how many of the witnesses were actually women trying to get back at other women over some sort of jealousy. Also, the fact of the matter is most men weren't witches so saying they targeted women specifically is a bit of a stretch. Even in some countries like Russia, old men, children and women were burned. I don't remember much, but I did a quick Google search, skimmed through some information and picked a few that I think will help with this question. I'm sure I could find much much more if it weren't 4:17AM and I was extremely tired.
