I Like My Receptinist How Do I Talk To Her

How do I talk to the cute new gym receptionist?

I was thinking along the lines of "hey you seem new here." But I've seen her 3 times already! Will it still work?!

I don't want to be like "what's your name" cause she has a name tag. I think she already knows my name cause yesterday when I signed in, it shows my name on the computer screen.

The only time we talked was a week ago when she said "see you later" and yesterday when she said "how are you" and I replied with "good"
Idk if anything will work cause I've seen her a lot to say "are you new?"

have you tried telling the owner? Or you can talk to your stylist and see if she would come to your house to do your hair instead.

How do you add value as the role of a receptionist?

It is always nice to know when people really try hard to master their field of work. A receptionist is the first point of contact that a company has. There is no doubt about how crucial the role is for a company’s reputation. Therefore, some top-of-the-line companies may have significantly thorough methods of hiring a receptionist. Here are a few steps that can help you add value to the roleYou have to be people’s person. Try making a pleasant conversation with the people who reach out to you. You are the first person who will be providing customer services whenever someone comes to the office. You may sometimes face situations where people loose their temper or talk impolitely. The best thing to do is trying to not let it affect you. If things go too out of hand, you may want to resort to silence. You should know the basic computer software that is necessary for assistive roles. For instance, being proficient at Microsoft Office is always an edge. Some receptionist roles may also require you to have experience in a management software for the office. It is always an edge if you have a working knowledge about an office management software. You should be responsive, punctual and attentive. The more passionate and hardworking you are, the more optimal your performance would be. A lot of times, the growth of a receptionist depends on his/her personal ability to want to grow. Meeting deadlines, having great organisational and managing capabilities can add immense value to receptionist roles.Lastly and most importantly, having a professional certification of a receptionist gives you a lot more weightage compared to not having one. Is it ok to flirt with the gym receptionist?

In my vast experience, there are a number of categories of girl that you should NEVER EVER flirt with:Flight attendantsHotel receptionistsBar and wait staff…I guess in general - the list is people who have extensive public interactions - like a Gym Receptionist. If they are even mildly attractive, they get flirted with ALL THE TIME by deadshit hopefuls - just like you.If you are the best looking, richest and buffest guy attending the gym, then letting her know that you are interested MIGHT be worthwhile - but if you are the best looking, richest and buffest guy, you don’t need to - you will already have lots of beautiful women dripping off you.

Cute new gym receptionist!!?

So there's a cute new receptionist at my gym. I remember the very first time I saw her, I walked in and as I was typing in my code to get in, I look up and I see her checking me out.
Also that same day I was walking behind the reception desk and she was turned sideways. I looked at her and I could tell she was looking at me in her peripheral vision. Today was the second time I saw her. She started her shift the same time I got there. After I typed in my code I let her walk in front of me and she was smiling. And then as I was leaving, she told me, "See you later" and I turned to look at her and she had a BIG smile. I smiled back at her.

But do you think she's interested?
What should I say to her?

How do I talk to a girl that works at the gym’s reception?

I'll assume you have romantic, possibly sexual intentions in talking to her, not just friendly. This girl works in a place filled to the brim with men, adrenaline, and testosterone. She gets hit on more than a stripper after a performance, and she probably has less protection, depending on the quality of the gym.I'm going to introduce you to a totally novel idea. This will work better than testosterone in any situation, not just this particular one.Be nice to her. Be sweet. Don't hit on her, don't look at her chest. Maybe, as you're signing into the gym, make a joke. Ask to borrow a pen. Compliment her on something not-sexual. Her eyes. Her name. Her hair. Tell her she has adorable freckles. Even make a stupid joke. You don't have to be clever to be funny to a girl. “Why did the chicken cross the road…” works just as well as some well-thought out, smooth, practiced show of wit. I, myself, love a good, “Three somethings walk into a bar…” joke.Strike up a conversation, and listen to her. Respond to her words, her specific statements. Repeat this the next two times you go to the gym. Any time after that, you can ask her on a date.Good luck. I'm rooting for you!

What should I think of my father who says his receptionist is like his daughter to him, but I think they have a closer relationship than just a professional one?

You should think about your own life, studies, work and friends. It is not your responsibility nor your business to pry into your parents’ faithfulness in their marriage. Now, if one of your parents actually had an affair and there were actually chaos, sadness, divorce or whatever in the family, of course it would be your business. But suspicions about your parents’ love life are really not something you need to give energy to.

Why are most office receptionists women?

Because, by default, there is an assumption that this is "women's work." Its a systemic cultural bias that believes a) men wouldn't want this work, b) women are better suited for this work, c) there is value in having an attractive woman at the front desk to greet guests / clients / customers. Because it's systemic, young women are preconditioned to seek out these jobs as entry level positions where men are funneled towards other entry level positions at the same point in their career. When employers recruit, they have a specific type of individual in mind for the position and that type of person is frequently an attractive young woman. The systemic problem continues when there is an assumption that the individual women who hold these jobs are not qualified to do more difficult work and they are not advanced within an organization. When they attempt to leave this position, future prospective employers do not value the experience for it's transferrable skills and these women may wind up in a similar position with another company because "its all they have experience doing."Men, on the other hand, if they do take on these positions, are significantly more likely to be promoted to other roles within the company where they are able to utilize the transferable skills gained in the role. Like many job classifications that are held mostly by women with no logical reason why, there are systemic biases and social forces that maintain the status quo.
