I Live In Canada; Am I Really Crazy To Be Wanting To Go To The Us

I want to move out of Canada, most likely to the US. Best place to live?

I am an accountant and have a good work background. I recently started working again about a year ago, because when my children were born (about 20 years ago), I quit my accounting job, which I had worked with for about 10 years. I would like to move to the US or Australia, but I'm worried about not being able to find a job and what not. So I need to know where I would have the best chances of finding a full-time job as an accountant, which I would make enough money to support myself and two teenager girls.

Why do Punjabis want to go to Canada?

There are a lot of answers to this question already but I think I can answer this question perfectly since I live in Punjab and all of my close friends are either going to Canada or have already been there for some years now -70% of Punjabis are hard working people but are very mediocre academically but they all deserve good paying jobs in India. But due to reservation in India a lot of them are effected . So it becomes a huge cause for them to leave India for Canada.Punjab's cream that studies in top schools get a really nice environment there . But most of them are unable to breakthrough for a top college and university in India . Most of the college in Punjab are not up to the mark for them in terms of crowd standards . Hence they rather decide to go Canada where they can get good crowd of international students.Since Punjabis are hardworking so they hardly care what job they are doing in Canada as long as they are earning high . A plumber in Canada earns a lot more than a plumber in India. The major part of Punjab's elite want a good place to live since they already have a lot of money. So they invest in countries like Canada for farm land or other businesses.Living in Canada has been highly promoted through music videos as most of them are being shot in Canada .Canada has been turned into ultimate destination for Punjabis as it is another Punjab away from the original one which is a lot more advanced. Don't forget places like Surrey , Brampton , Mississauga , Calgary have now officially become Punjabi dominant places in Canada .

Joining US Marines from Canada?

Where do I start? I just turned 18, highschool is done, thought about going to college but it just doesn't seem right for me. Military seems to be something that interests me. For most Canadian Forces would seem natural but see I want to leave this stupid country (Canada), I'm sick of it. Stupid socialism and left wing garbage. Military experience here is somewhat worse than a criminal record and people think your murderers, there is NO respect for veterans around here. (Toronto Area I live in)

I know it can be done. Plenty of Canadians with "Green Cards" AKA Permanent Resident/Permanent Alien cards have joined the US Marines forces.

If there was an easy way to get a "Green Card" I would get one and join but I was wondering if there was a way to join without one.

I dug up all I could and found storys about how some people did some paper work/applied for something and because of x paper George W Bush signed and diminishing enlistment it's possible but these storys never go into detail. I also checked some topics on Marine Forums and apparently there is a way.

I was hopping someone could enlighten me on this.

My fiance' wants her parents to live with us when we get married?

They both are in good health, about ~ 50 years old and have two convenient stores in Canada. The problem is her elder brother who's a high-school dropout, never had a job, lives with them and be verbally abusive to his parents. She doesn't like him and he's the sole reason why she wants to bring them over. She almost called it off last week, when I was reluctant to accept that they can live with us for ever. I absolutely don't have any problem with them visiting us now and then and vice-versa. Just like how my parents will do. We didn't talk for a week properly before I caved in and said that they can come over to the U.S on a tourist visa and stay with us. I thought this was just a 'cold-feet' phase and we'll get over it. But now, she's convinced her parents to sell the stores in Canada and she's also preparing visas for her parents to stay with us, immediately after marriage, for 6 months (max period during "a" visit on a tourist visa). Then they will go out and comeback again until the visa is valid (you can even get 5 years) - or reapply another one. By then she would have gotten her citizenship and could apply one for them as her dependents. Another thing is, my fiance' is not working now - she's finishing college and wants to take a year off, during which our marriage is scheduled to be. She says she wants to work after, but says she will 'reconsider' when we have a kid or two. Given that she's not working, I have told her that I won't be able to support her parents financially. Her answer to that - "they will sell the stores and the house in Canada and will have enough retirement fund for themselves". Yeah right, for how long? Now that this is getting really serious, I'm totally confused now. I don't want to be living together with my in-laws! I will even say "no" to MY own parents if they'd ask me that. But I like her and she's a nice girl but her adamance over this one issue, is too much to handle.

Canadian Citizen wanting to shoot a gun at an American Shooting Range?

Anyone can go to a public shooting range to shoot guns. Some ranges have guns to rent and ammo to buy and some do not. To shoot at a public range, you don't need any kind of a license. Typically, you buy the ammo and rent the gun(s). Plus, they'll probably charge you a fee to use the range also. I shoot guns all the time. I belong to a gun club in the San Francisco bay Area. I reload my own ammo. it's a lot cheaper to shoot. I'd check or call some places that aren't too far from you to find out what places actually rent guns to shoot. You can find them online too. Have a great time.
