I Live In New Tampa Is There Any Where I Can Get Cheap Pet Vaccinations

Is there any vet clinics in chicago that accepts medicaid?

My puppy is now a month old and is teething and I believe he has an upset stomach. I am currently out of money but I do have a medical card. I was told that there were vet clinics in chicago that accepts medicaid in order to examine your animal. Is that true?

Limping Ferret? What can I do?

My ferret has had off and on limping problems. This last time it's gone on for 3 days. Her elbow feels funny, like it's popped out or something. I live in Central Florida and don't know what to do! It used to just get better!

My first ever pup died of parvo virus, now I fear to keep another pet dog. What should I do?

We adopted a pup from a shelter towards the end of 2014, and it contracted Parvo just two days after coming home. It died within a week. We were heartbroken, and scared to bring another pup home. We got a call about a month later from a volunteer at the shelter that a family somewhere in Secunderabad had a dog that gave birth to an unwanted litter, and if they weren't getting adopted soon, they'd be thrown out on the street. We had been yearning for a dog so much that when we heard this, our fear of losing it vanished. We instead focused on everything we could do to ensure the new pup stayed healthy. We bleach-cleaned our whole house upside down, inside out. Every toy, every bowl the previous pup used was thrown out. Every single thing in the house was wiped clean at least two feet up the ground. (BTW, bleach is the only way to effectively get rid of the parvo virus)Moving on to the new pup. We went to visit the family, picked a pup, but limited our contact. She was still just about a month old, and we did not want to risk anything. We went back a week later when she was around 40 days old, took her to a nearby vet, and got her first 7-in-1 vaccination. She finally came home after the vet assured us it was okay. The first few days were definitely stressful, and worrying, but thankfully we got past it. She is now over one year old, all vaccines up-to-date, and owns the house.Coming to you, it is okay to be scared, that fear will make sure you are extra careful next time. Don't give up on dogs because of that one experience. I started sponsoring vaccinations for stray pups whenever I can, just my little effort to curb that dreaded disease. Even if you decide not to get another dog, you can probably do something like this, the satisfaction is immeasurable.

Cheaper Breeds of Dogs like Siberian Huskies?

I have three Siberian Huskies. One is red with blue eyes and I found her at my local shelter! For the adoption fee of 40 dollars. So check your local shelter. Other breeds similar to huskies are Alaskan Malamutes, Alaskan Huskies, Akitas, and Chows. Huskies are really great dogs. Good luck.

Flying with pets....?

I work for an airline so I can give you some information.

There are two ways to take pets on a plane - either in the cabin or in cargo. First of all, check with the airline that you are using. Most airlines allow small pets in the cabin as long as they are in approved pet carriers that fit under the seat in front of you. Some only allow one pet per passenger, or you may have to have both pets in one carrier. There is usually a small fee for bringing them on board.

Animals carried as cargo need to be placed in a rigid container designed specifically for the transportation of live animals. If your cats are large, that may be an option.

Check with your vet, also. Some animals travel better if sedated. The vet can also give you advice about food and water for them, etc. while travelling.

Also, make sure you check with TSA about how to carry catfood for the trip - there are lots of rules now about what you can take in your carry-on baggage and what has to be checked. TSA has their own website you can log on to.

Good luck.

Cat is sick and cant take him to vet?

i have a cat, well more of a kitten, about 12 or 13 weeks im estimating. i rescued him from the bushes when he was just a couple of days maybe a week or so old. he has had a little bit of a infection (boogery eyes and somewhat nose) he seemed to be getting better though up until a couple days ago. hes latharigc (running a fever, sleeping all day), sneezing, and coughs (but only a little). its been 3 days now.. he has a smaller appetite then usual but is still eating. hes drinking water so hes not dehydrated. i know NOT to give him aspirin or anything of the sort.

i DO NOT have any money to take him to the vet, and i could you my last penny i would but i am literally broke. i called about six different places and they couldnt even give me a tip on what to do. so please, help me, if he died so would i. this cat is my life.

i know he needs to go to the vet, and im trying as hard as i can to get money to do so, but in the mean time, does a somebody (who actually know what their talking about) has any ideas on what i could do to help my little baby.

Can you reccommend the best veterarian in the Greater Orlando (or) Northern Central Florida area?

I am in the Tampa/Lakeland area. When I have serious problems I go up to U of FL in Gainesville. They are top notch! (If it is a neuro issue, you can't do better than Dr. Clemmons up there.) I dont' know if that is neccessary for getting fixed but that is where I consider the best vet care to be. Good luck with your pup!
