I Lost My Work Authorization Card Border Patrol

As a non-citizen in the USA, can I fly domestically without a passport?

If you have a legal, government-issued photo ID, like a state ID or driver's license from the state in which you reside, that's perfectly good identification for purposes of flying. If you do not legally reside in the US, or do not have a driver's license/state ID from the state where you legally reside, then you have to use your passport or other issued-by-a-non-US-government photo identification document to fly.

What do i need to cross the border?

Planing a trip with my 18 yr old friend to Montreal Canada from nj this summer, I m older. I heard a new law you need tons of stuff to pass thru what do we need other then passport and id??

Can I re-enter USA without EAD card but I've USCIS work authorization approval notice and have valid i20 (with travel signature), F-1 Visa? My EAD card was lost by USPS during transit so waiting for replacement.

If your immigration condition is on the up-n-up, all you may encounter is to be taken into second stage of interview, while someone checks your story. If it checks out, I do not see any reason why they detain you or worse. Make sure you have the appropriate paperwork copies ready when you arrive, to speed up the process. I have seen people coming to US after losing their passports the day before the were flying back home. Your situation is not too much different.

Drivers License Birth Certificate Help?

Hey, I'm adopted from China. I came here in 1996 on my first birthday. I am currently 15. When i went to the Kansas DMV to get my drivers permit when i was 14 they rejected me because i had a copy of my birth certificate and not the actual document. Then they went on about how I have to have a green card, passport, or the actual birth certificate itself. Help! I am 15 now and really need to be able to drive. Can someone tell me what to do? I know my soc. security # and all of the information needed I just don't have the one thing to say i am legal. ( which i am cuz im adopted so their bein stupid ) So please if you have any advice on what to do please tell me. Thanks. =]

Neighbor's child died. Need help/suggestion?

Most likely, other family members will be around to field off visitors if the neighbors don't feel up to seeing anyone. I would take over some food. Even if the neighbors don't feel up to eating, they will most likely have guests coming around who will need to be fed, and the mom is definitely not going to feel like preparing food for them.

I would also attend the funeral. Even if you don't know the neighbors very well, it is still nice to show that you respect them enough to show up for the funeral. Even if they are too lost in their grief at the moment, when they look back on it later, it will let them know that people cared enough about them to be there. If your finances permit, flowers are a nice idea, or if the family prefers, a donation to a charity is also good.

Personally, I would not directly mention the child's name yet. That would be so terribly painful if it were my child.

Is it possible to travel inside the United States if you lost your green card, but you are already inside the United States?

It is exceedingly unlikely that you will be asked to prove your right to be present in the United States while traveling within the United States as long as you have your state-issued identification (driver's license or other state ID card).  Neither state officials nor the TSA are authorized to inquire into such matters. There is a vanishingly small chance that you'll run into an "internal border control checkpoint" during your travels (there are a few of these in New England secondary to the Canadian border), but as long as you have identification and proof that you have applied for a replacement green card, you'll probably not have any serious difficulties. You might run into a jackass state-level official (e.g. Joe Arpaio of Arizona) who thinks he is entitled to inquire into your immigration status.  While this is illegal, scofflaws like him can make for serious trouble for people who are exercising their rights in ways that people like him think are inappropriate. Fortunately, you will probably not run into anyone like him in or around Boston.
