I Loved Walking Dead .other Suggestions

Which is better the series Lost or the walking dead?

*sigh* I watched Walking Dead for longer, but I think Lost was better.

Walking Dead is just kind of...okay for a long time. It was never an AMAZING series. The characters are pretty bland, their arcs are all pretty identical, the acting is passable but not great. I mean, let's be honest, if you tune into TWD, you're there to watch people do horrific things in horrific situations. It's like watching a train wreck.

Lost was actually good TV and I was riveted for awhile. Until about halfway into season 3 when I finally realized how repetitive the formula for that show (and really ALL JJ Abrams stuff) is. Introduce a mystery, then make the solution to that mystery spawn 1-2 more mysteries. End every episode with a tense new revelation. Repeat ad infinitum.

I love Abrams for alot of OTHER things about him, but he just does not know how to END a thing. Which is why Episode 9 of Star Wars is going to be just as bad as 8 was. Abrams is a STARTER, not a FINISHER.

Anyway, once I realized that, I couldn't let myself be manipulated by Lost anymore and I stopped watching.

The Walking Dead vs Dexter?

Right now?

The Walking Dead is better. The drama is great. The acting is amazing. The characters are interesting. And the action is intense!

However, the Dexter season with John Lithgow (Season 4, I think?) is probably the most perfect season of any tv show ever. Walking Dead doesn't have anything that matches that season.

But overall, The Walking Dead is a better show.

What other good tv shows like the walking dead or lost?

Pretty Little Liars --- Four friends band together against an anonymous foe who threatens to reveal their darkest secrets, whilst unraveling the mystery of the murder of their best friend.

Why do people like The Walking Dead?

So, this has been bothering me for a while now. Why do people like The Walking Dead? I mean, everyone always talks about it, and apparently it's a good show but something really bothers me... how is it supposed to end? It's 5 seasons in now (I think) and from the outside I can't see much resolution happening? Is it just a group of people living in an apocalypse? Does the show just end if the main group dies? Basically, I don't understand how you find it enjoyable if after 50+ episodes you're no closer to a start or a finish... Anybody care to explain? Am I just uninformed?

Why don't people like fear the walking dead?

Some spoilers for Fear the Walking Dead will follow.I think there are two main problems with Fear the Walking Dead.First, it’s rehashing a lot of what The Walking Dead has already done. Virus spreads, zombies arise, society collapses, people travel and try to figure out how to survive. FtWD has done a few things slightly differently, but basically it’s the same. The biggest difference is that we saw a little more of the collapse in FtWD through Madison, Travis, et al.We already know what it takes to survive in this world, and it’s frustrating to see a second group of people go through the same things. Perhaps prime offending example: the events and destruction of the Abigail estate was all but identical to what happened in season two of TWD on Hershel’s farm.We are not seeing anything new except for locations. It’s been interesting to a degree to see Mexico and what happened there — it’s a different culture, so seeing that reaction to the collapse had possibilities I don't think they explored enough.Second, our group is not filled with terribly likable characters. Madison is unreadable, Travis is muddled, and Chris went kinda nuts, for example. They are also inconsistent.Madison, for example, seemed to be very pragmatic and practical regarding this. She was willing to kill people, to leave people behind, etc., to save her family. At the hotel, she saw the potential and worked out a plan to get rid of the zombies and make the hotel safe, or at least safer. Once that’s done, what’s the first thing she does? She turns on all the lights because she heard a rumor of a scraggly-haired kid that might, of all the people left in the world, be her son, who has caused her a lot of pain and trouble. I’m not saying a parent should ever give up on their child, but she had other people to think about and after all of her almost logical work, she endangered them all. Not only did the noise attract zombies, it attracted survivors.Travis went, unsteadily, from being someone having trouble accepting what was going on, to killing the boys that Chris had gone with. I don't think enough foundation was laid for that. The general pace of the show is also fairly slow, and sometimes it’s downright sluggish. This is also a problem that affects TWD from time to time. However, we have enough history with TWD that many viewers (I am one) will forgive the slow pace (hello, first half of season seven) because we have confidence in a payoff.I don’t think most have that confidence in FtWD.
