I M Really Sad My Supervisor Think That I M Stealing Murchandise

Have you ever caught someone brazenly stealing merchandise or personal property?

I worked as a loss prevention agent/store detective and undercover, part time for about 10 years in shopping malls , and department stores. And have had a part in arresting hundreds or thousands .I recall 2 cases among many i do recall, one of a woman and her son. She was using him to take the merchandise off the shelves in the various isles and conceal them . She was looking around and then urge him to hurry up with certain things to put.We waited till they passed the register and exited the store , i approached her and identified myself . The woman pretended to be shocked and started lambasting her son saying how could he do this ! The poor kid started crying , we had to calm him down , brought both of them back to our holding room , interviewed her .we recovered about 600 US dollars of merchandise. She would not admit she put her son up to stealing the merchandise. We arrested her and arranged for her family to pick up the son . How sad.The second one was of a young man and his girl friend. They both worked on the cash register in the department store i was assigned. We also were trained to watch and catch internal store theft. This couple over a period of a month , their registers were coming up short . Of course we started watching them , this took days of surveillance and stake outs , a lot of patience is involved. You turn your head 1 second you can lose the moment and the money is gone . We eventually nabbed them one night at closing . Brought both of them in the room, interrogated them. Found out the amount of cash was about 5,000 US dollars. The Bonnie and Clyde team was arrested and went to jail . The mind of thieves.

Do you feel guilty when you return merchandise to stores?

I feel very guilty. Especially if its a high end retail store (like Saks, Nordstroms etc). I'd die of embarrasment before returning something there.

I recently bought some new perfume, after a friend pressured me into it. It was a $90 Bvlgari Rose set, and the specialist gave me all sorts of little extras and spent SO much time fussing over me.

I can't return it now, I'd feel bad. >_< And the worse part? I don't think I like the scent and will probably never wear it. Hmm... Guess I'll give it to a friend having a birthday. -_-

I got caught shoplifting $170 dollars worth of merchandise from walmart in manatee County ,florida?

im 19 , and I got caught. The police were called, they took me to jail for like 6 hours, then they said that i have to go to court. I dont know what to do,and what to expect . should I get a lawyer? I cant go to jail ;I'm in college .. I have dreams!. I had never done nothing like this before, so my record is clean. I cant afford a lawyer, should I get a public defender ? should I go to walmart and talk to the manager, tell him or her that I'm very sorry , cry and everything before to go to court. what is going to happen to me? please help.

My boss thinks I'm stealing?

I have been accused of stealing credit card money, stealing money from the cash register and off of tickets. Im a waitress so I work with money constantly and i dont know what else to do. I tried contacting the main company and they have not yet tried to investigate or solve the problem.

I think my boss thinks I'm stealing money from the till.?

I have a part-time job at this shop and I'm scared people are getting suspicious of me for no reason.

It's not me taking the money, but the day I work there is the only day the till comes up short.

Sometimes, at the end of the day, I have to count the money in the till and make sure it matches the till reading. Pretty much 90% of the time it doesn't matc!

I checked the list to see what was happening on the other days when I don't work and it all matches then. And last weekend I wasn't in and all the amounts added up! It only seems to come up short when I'm there.

I think my boss thinks it's me but it's not! But I was the only one on the till on Saturday afternoon. I can only assume it's someone from Saturday morning who's taking it.

What should I do? I have no way to prove anything.

Have you ever been caught stealing?

I’m still a bit too ashamed to admit it, so I’ll go anonymous.I was 22, and I had plenty of money. But, since we grew up poor, I felt like I couldn’t pay for stuff. I also liked the thrill of stealing. So, I shoplifted almost daily. For the most part I took things I felt were overpriced, and I wouldn’t want to pay for it.Things I stole:socks and silk ties (small, easy to fold and put in your pockets). I must have had a rack with at least 30 silk ties at home.batteries (small and expensive).books. One time I came in with a suitcase, loaded it up with the books I wanted to read, and walked out again.I got careless. So, one time I was just putting stuff in my pockets without even thinking. As I approached the doors to exit, a large man looked me in the eye and made a hand gesture to wait. I didn’t. I ran outside, my pockets flinging from all the stolen stuff (batteries, and some other small stuff). He came after me, running. I was very fit at the time, and I could have easily outran him. However, my long coat and my heavy pockets kept me from gaining speed. I was thinking what to do: lose the stuff and outrun him, or let myself get caught. Then I thought: well, how bad can it be, I give the stuff back and go on my way, just tell him you’re sorry or something (I was naive). I let him catch me. He told me to empty my pockets. If I were a bit smarter about the law, I’d simply have refused it, and ask him why he was following me, accusing him. But I wasn’t. He called the police, and I got arrested for shoplifting.Once at the station, they asked me to empty my pockets. Out came $20 of stolen merchandise, and my wallet, showing about $400. I was shocked myself, and thought why didn’t I just pay for this stuff?Ultimately, I did learn my lesson: if it’s overpriced, don’t buy it. Find something cheaper. Oh yeah, and don’t steal.

I got caught stealing from work and got fired, help!!?

You stole from your employer.

Of course you're going to get fired. That's a no brain-er.

English is not your first language. You don't have to speak English fluently to know that stealing is wrong - a crime. Do you have a drivers license? Have you signed a lease agreement? If so, you know English well enough. If you had any questions about what you were signing because you don't speak English well, then you should have asked them to read it to you and explain it. Sorry, but the "English is not my first language" dog don't hunt.

If you had stolen $120 worth or merchandise from a retail store you were shopping in, the retail store would have called the cops and prosecuted you too. Why do you think your employer would be any different?

Sorry, but this is a hole you dug yourself. Your supervisor did not take advantage of you. You created this mess with your bad decisions.

Once you plead guilty or get convicted of the theft (and you will - they have the written statement you provided and what ever proof tipped them off about your theft in the first place). Then you will have a criminal record for that incident. The penalty will most likely be a fine and restitution.

You may want to talk to an attorney and see what the charge is and if the attorney can work out a plea bargain and get it reduced.

In the end, this will be a very expensive lesson for you. It will cost a lot more then the $120 item you stole.

However, life will go on and you will learn from this and hopefully never do it again.
