I Missed About 2 Weeks Of School

Missed 3 weeks of school because of anxiety?

Some back story, its my senior year of high school second semester and I haven't gone to school in 3 weeks (12 total some snow days and other days off). I haven't been in classes since start of new semester so I would be joining 2 classes 3 weeks late. Attendance has always been a problem for me but this time I really can't break out of it. I've missed 34 days total this year and I just want to graduate! My grades are not as bad as you would think 3.3 GPA (not good by all means but considering my attendance its decent). I just dont know what to tell my teachers and other kids at school? Anyone else have similiar stories?

I've missed over a week of school and only have two weeks left of school to catch up. How can I manage all the makeup work?

I had to catch up with multiple weeks of school to pass once same situation you know how I did it from the time I woke up until about an hour before I went to bed I worked on my studies and work. A couple of nights were late nights I did not sleep as much as I should have but no matter how I sliced it I realized even if I got 70% on the stuff I was doing it would enable me to get what I needed to get to progress which was a passing grade.Don’t think about how you are going to do it instead do it you will be that much closer the more time you waste thinking the less time you will have to do.

Is It OK To Miss The First 2 Weeks Of School??

NO NO NO. The teachers will always remember that you are the kid who blows off school, from the family that doesn't think school is important, that couldn't take advantage of weeks of summer vacation and decided to take vacation after school starts. You'll be tagged in their minds as that kind of student.

PLUS, it's during the first weeks of school that the classroom culture for the whole year is set. Expectations are explained by the teachers, social groups are formed among the student, rules are lined out.

It's better to miss 2 weeks in November or any other time, but not the first two weeks of school. Seriously--the teachers will always have you tagged as "that kid".

Missed 2 weeks of school. I need a good excuse?

Maybe i can tell my teachers and friends that i had chicken pox but would it work because i dont have the scars? What if i tell them that it didnt affect my face and hands?

What happens if I miss 2 weeks of school?

I'm a teacher and here's how it works in the schools in my state (Florida). If you miss more than 9 days of school between the first day of school and Christmas break, or more than 9 days of school betweent Christmas break and the end of school than you automatically fail. If you are out for medical reasons you have to provide a letter from a doctor. If you are absent because of a death you have to provide a death certificate. Yes it's true that you will have a ton of make up work but your teachers should give you a reasonable amount of time to do it in. Defininitely talk to the front office to make sure that you are not going to fail due to absences and if they say you are ask them what it is you need to do. All schools I know of have an appeals process to failing due to absence. Good luck.

Good Excuse for missing 2 Weeks of School?

What's a good excuse for missing two weeks of school? So I'm a freshman in a public high school. I came to school a week later because I was in Arizona visiting some family. I was only at school for a week before the flu got to me. I was out for a week of school, unable to really walk or do anything, let along comprehend the bs the teachers tell the students. Anyways, so then last week I returned to school. But, my school starts at 7:30 and I was still sick (still am) so I ended up not waking up until 7:00. I didnt show up to school AT ALL for first period. But I went to all my other classes except mising Wednesday due to having a longer class period in which a kids stalks me. The problem is, I missed 1st period for the entire week. I havent been to my first class for two weeks but tomorrow I HAVE to go. What is a good excuse to use for missing so much school? I'm afraid the teacher won't believe me when I say that I was sick and woke up late, even though that is 100% true. Because, she'll say that if I can go to very other class then I can show up to hers. I don't wanna get dropped from my class or anything so please help me. I'm kinda freaking out right now because I know I'm gonna have tons of makeup wok and crap from her. Also, she'll really strict and rude.

Any excuses for missing 2 weeks of school?

I'm in this partial-hospitalization program for depression and self harm. Because of this, I've missed school for almost 2 weeks. I know other students are going to ask questions, and I want to be prepared. I DON'T want anyone at all to know about my issues. I want it to seem like nothing happened. I was thinking maybe telling them I had a family emergency. HELPPPP!!

If I miss a week or more of school because of moving what will happen?

I'm a military kid and so I'm used to moving but I haven't ever missed school because of it. My parents got divorced and its been down since then and now my mother and I have to move so we are downsizing. I'm just wondering what might happen because I have to move around August 27th and school starts the 20th. I'll most likely not be able to start school until Labor Day.

I mean I know how classes will work but my dad keeps threatening us with going to a judge about me not starting school until later but I already am going to email the principle at the new school and all the information I will need. (I can't until later though).

(I'm starting 10th grade)

I missed two weeks of school due to sickness, and I have a ton of homework. How do I deal with this?

I notice that you exaggerate the amount of homework you have to do (you don’t literally have tons of homework to do), and while you don’t specify what illness you had and how sick you actually were (you may have just had the flu, or you were being treated for cancer), you used it as an excuse for not doing any homework. You could have done homework in increments or smaller pieces while you were sick, based on your ability to do the work. A little progress studying and working while sick is better than not studying and working at all.The easiest thing you could do, is not doing any of the missed homework to keep up in the courses, and take whatever grades you get afterwards for the gaps in your studying. If you fail the courses, learn from your mistakes, and maybe retake the courses at a later time so you get better grades. Hopefully, you’ll learn not to abstain from doing homework again the next time you’re sick. However, you could also spend extra time and effort in just doing the homework to keep up in your courses. You may be a procrastinator, which puts extra pressure on yourself. I’ve learned waiting until the ‘last day or minute’ to do any work isn’t a good habit in the long term. You are more likely to rush your work, and increase the chances of doing a half-assed job in your work. It really takes training and effort to avoid procrastination. Are you taking medication or doing talk therapy for your ‘very bad’ anxiety and possible depression? If not, you should.
