Why does a root canal take three sittings?

It really depends on the tooth and the amount of time the doctor has allotted. Sometimes there are scheduling conflicts which make it difficult to finish in one or even two sittings (like being double-booked), which could be the front desk person’s fault. Here’s a guide to know how long a root canal takes. It gives you a typical timeframe by calculating the number of roots the tooth has and how difficult it is to access them. Also, sometimes the doctor wants to see how the tooth responds to treatment. It could be a case where the tooth might be on the verge of dying but rather than extraction, it’s better to try to save the tooth.I hope that helps. Without more details it’s difficult to give an exact answer.

Why does the act of observation lock up a single photon’s trajectory when passing through the double-slit experiment?

The act of observation does not lock up the trajectory per se but the fact that observation causes a change in the experiment does not seem strange to me.First: what is “observation”? If you look up the dictionary definition then “observation” means something like determining some properties of an object without altering that object. However, if you think about it then you find that it is fundamentally not possible to determine the properties or state of something without altering that “something” because there must always be some interaction with the object under observation and the observer. For example, when I look at your face I can only see you because there are photons bouncing from your face into my eyes. It only appears that the photons do not alter your face because the changes these photons make to you face are too small to be detected. If I however want to observe objects in a double-slit experiment there exists no mechanism that is “small” enough to bounce of the particles in the double-slit experiment without disturbing the particles and by that, breaking the possibility of interference.Observing particles in a double-slit experiment is comparable to me looking at your face with bouncing golf balls instead of bouncing photons.

I believe that carrying weapons in self defence in the US violates people's freedom. The freedom to be unconcerned with violence. I believe the UK is freer in this regard. Do you agree?

You don’t notice the problems because as of now, you have very few violent people in your country. If for some reason, you were to suddenly have a much more violent population, your gun control would do nothing to prevent them from committing murder, rape, robbery, assault, kidnapping and more.A person carrying a gun for their own protection, is not a threat to others. In the US, we have 16 million or so CCW, who carry most every day. This population group has a homicide rate of about .2 per 100k. If they were a country, they’d one of the most non-violent on earth, as well as one of the best armed. In comparison, Brazil is a country where nobody is allowed to own firearms. The homicide rate is about 25 per 100k. Honduras has a similar number of guns per capita to the UK, (6.2 per 100 vs 6.6 per 100) and yet has a homicide rate of 60 per 100k people in 2015. Twelve times the US rate, and 60 times the UK rate. This gets more interesting if you look at history. This is the estimated homicide rate of Europe through the medieval period to today. Reliable firearms didn’t come about till the mid 17th century, so if homicide and gun availability share a causal link, this graph should be inexplicable.Honestly, the normal joe with a gun isn’t a threat to you. A person hell bent on causing death and destruction but who is unarmed is very much a threat.

I want a list of world mathematicians and their inventions.person answering1st will be choosen as best answer.

Isaac Newton: discoverer of calculus.
Gottfried Leibnitz: discoverer of calculus.

It's controversial as to which one is to be really credited since both worked simultaneously but not cooperatively.

___

Euclid: father of geometry. defined Definitions, Axioms, Postulates, Theorems

___

Charles Babbage: invented the Analytical Machine [this contributed to the basic design of computers]

I'll be adding more later. :)

The moon does not exist when we don't look at it. What does this claim in quantum mechanics mean, and is it true?

It’s not true. Einstein and Shroedinger used it as an example of the absurdity of the notion of the “collapse of the wave function”.It goes something like this:Quantum entities have a character of spread-out ness. For example an electron in an atom occupies a fuzzy cloud of existence. It is possibly everywhere within that cloud at the same time. However when you ask the question (by experiment) where is the electron you will find it (obviously) in only one place. So how does the electron transition from being at many places at the same time to being at precisely one location. The means by which this happens is know as the “collapse of the wave function” (or in layman’s terms the collapse of the fuzzy cloud!) . So you think - it’s an atom sized cloud which collapses that’s hardly a big deal. However, in the case of a free electron (an electron outside an atom) this cloud could be the size of the visible universe and our current theory says that this cloud of potential existence can collapse to a single point instantly. Now that sounds absurd and Einstein and Shroedinger (the creator of the equation describing the wave function / cloud) didn’t like it. So a very logical next question in this already shaky territory is what causes this cloud to collapse in the first place. Quantum theory says that the act of making a “measurement” causes the wave function (cloud) to collapse. And then it gets more absurd because the next question is what is a “measurement”. At the end of the tortuous path that led from the question “what is a measurement?” the conclusion (by Bohr, Heisenberg and Born) was that a measurement was the end point of a chain of events culminating in the observation of that data by a sufficiently sentient being (a human). What Einstein and Shroedinger concluded from that analysis was that everything in the universe (including the moon) would exist as a fuzzy cloud of potential, neither here nor there nor anywhere unless humans where there to observe it. They concluded that this was utter nonsense. Because of this absurdity and many more like it, Einstein and Shroedinger remained convinced that quantum mechanics (as we still currently understand it) was only a partial theory.

How many video games titles were released worldwide in 2005?

while reading a written reserve, you're stimulating the human brain. You improve your reading and literacy skills and you along the way, are more literate. Even with today's modern tools, you need to be in a position to read still.
While watching t.v. can be good fun, it isn't doing anything to the human brain.

To all the smart MATH people out there! Please can yall help me?

Well since it looks like no one else is going to answer my Q any more, I figure I’d tell yall what it’s for. See I kinda waited to register for Fall semester courses, & I really need to get in for “Early registration” since I will be out of town to do “Normal Registration”, my school has this thing where you have to see your counselor/advisor to give you your “PIN” number (which is a 4 digit number). Early registration ends July 31st and I may not be able to see my counselor/advisor in time. Even if I do a class may fill up before I get my PIN. I already know what classes I need and I would like to get in them so I can graduate from my Degree program at the end of this Fall. If any of them fill up I will not be able to graduate in time. SO I MUST HAVE MY PIN number NOW!
