I Need A Costume That Involves Overalls But I Have None What Can I Do

What are some of the best Halloween costumes ever?

Mom is an artsy fartsy thing so all of our Halloween costumes were handmade and awesome.I was a morbidly obese nurse with hairy moles on my face one year.  Even had a huge syringe with fake blood all over it.Another year I was siamese twins with my neighbor. We wore a big pair of overalls with each of us fitting in one of the legs.  The next year we used those same overalls and I wore them upside down.  We stapled a scary bald mask (That looked kinda like Sanjay Sabnani) onto an upside down shirt.  In the end it looked like a creepy man walking on his hands all night. When I was very young mom made me a lion outfit that was pretty terrific.  All handmade and anything but adorable.  We weren't allowed to be adorable things. But my all time favorite Halloween outfit- in 8th grade I was invited to the cool kids Halloween party.  Mom and I decided I'd wear a joke costume.  I wore something similar to this. It wasn't a witch, though.  It was maybe something called a Blinkin?  Or a Plinkin?  I don't remember.  All I do remember is that it was hideous and mom and I thought we were the funniest things ever.HOWEVER, the people at the party didn't feel the same.  Instead, they all thought I lacked creativity.  They thought that junk costume was something I'd wear each year for Halloween.  They also thought I was POOR because those costumes were really cheap. It wasn't the first time I felt like an outcast and it certainly wasn't the last time.  Wish I could tell the 13 year old me that there would be a time that I'd find comfort in being the outcast.

Who is the superhero with the coolest looking costume?

I think all/most superhero costumes looks really cool but here are my top 5:1. Captain UniverseWith my personal preference of all things galaxy and space, to say this costume is cool would be an understatement. Captain Universe is also not one person - nor a person at all, but a Uni-Power and a manifestation of the Universe itself. Oh, how I wish Captain Universe bonds with me!2. Cat WomanDue to my unquestionable love of cats and since we’re talking about looks, Cat Woman’s costume has to be in my list, especially her black leather outfit! The cute cat-eye goggle mask is also a great touch and I’m obsessed with it. I mean, just look at her!3. SupermanAh yes, the classic superhero that we all know and love. As it turns out, the colors of his costume were actually pretty rare during the time the comics were released. The blue in Superman's costume is literally the darkest shade of the traditional blue used for comic book coloring -- the costume also evoked a sense of wonder that was so unusual in comics of the time.4. The FlashThe Flash’s costume is easily one of the most unique superhero costumes out there. In fact, the sleek, lightning-themed red, yellow and white costume is so cool and popular that it remains one of the few superhero costumes to simply be brought over into movies/series without massive changes to the design. It is just that good! There have been tweaks over the years, like altering the logo on the chest or adding lenses to the eyes in the mask, but generally, the costume remains the same today as it did back in 1956.5. Spider-ManI wouldn't want to create a list of coolest superhero costumes without Spider-Man! The red and blue webbed costume and spider logo is one of the most unusual superhero costumes ever designed and it looks so cool! There’s a reason why basic costume design has remained the same for over 50 years, and it’s because his costume is really iconic! They are my top 5 but I do love most superhero costumes and I think they all look great. I really appreciate the time, effort, and talent of the people behind these costumes, they are legends! How to make a goth ragdoll costume?

I was a Goth ragdoll a few years ago. I bought a black button-up dress from a thrift store, but just about any black dress will do, as long as it's not too dressy. Try to look for a plain one. Take a few scraps of fabric and cut them into patch shapes. I sewed on a square near the hem and a skull on the arm. I also made an apron to go with mine. For makeup, I gave myself whiteface, drew patches by making little circles then drawing lines as "stitches" on my cheeks with eyeliner and then filled them in with bright pink lipstick. I used black lipstick on my lips. I also drew stitches around one of my eyes and around my neck to make it look like my head was sewn on. I also had white makeup on my hands and arms and drew more stitches on my arms. Unless you want to put makeup on your legs too, try to find some tights. I used bright red fishnets and wore white ankle socks with black lace and I wore mary jane-style shoes. Also, I made my own wig by sewing strands of yarn to a pair of pantyhose with the legs cut off and the holes sewn shut. But if you don't want to put in that much effort, you could always dread your hair and put it into pigtails, but dreads can be a real b/itch to get out.

What is the difference between branded and non-branded clothes?

I will break it down into pointsFor fashion feed visit www.wefelt.inBranded productsBranded products are Genuine.Fine sewing. You will not find any kind of damage or improper stitch. If the product is damaged they will take it back.Long lasting products, as the fabric/material undergoes many tests.Non-Branded ProductsThey are also called Knock-off products. They copy the brands, you will find the difference only if you are an expert.Sometimes branded products get rejected buy the buyer ( here the buyer is a company which gives contract based work to the manufacturers ) due to various technical reason ( ex: when care tag causes irritation to the skin, when Pantone of the sewing thread is different from what was ordered ) Such products are rated per kg or tonne and are sold in bulk. These products are sold in places like Sarojini in Delhi, Shivaji nagar in Bengaluru, Tulsi Baazar in Pune etcNo fine sewing. You will find some kind of an error viz., weird sleeve, color might wear off after a single wash, pocket placement is slightly lower than usual etcThey are pocket friendly.Smart shopper would know how to mix and match the branded and non branded products.Few Tips:Prefer branded denim jeans, they are soft, not harsh on you skin, you can also find the stretch that you are looking for.Stilettos, go for branded once. Non branded once might not have proper alignment, which will effect your posture, back bone, what not.Tops & Tee, non branded wont harm.Be careful with accessories. Non-branded work just fine in most cases.Make-up!? Go for the big brands.Bigger the better! For more cool stuff visit cause life is too short

Medieval Times dinner and show?

I've been to the MT in Dallas, TX. It was completely awesome. The seating is really neat. The tables are long and stadium style (like a theater, with tables).

They started us out with soup (not salted, but shakers on the table) and garlic bread. Then came the main course. 1/2 roasted chicken (the best I've ever eaten), 2 spare ribs, and an herb roasted potato. Dessert was an apple pastry. We also got 2 refills of Pepsi & coffee with dessert. No eating utensils are allowed. Everything must be eaten with your hands. I think the food is different at other MT, so check the website and click on "Bill of Fare"

I have nothing but praise for the place. It was awesome. The serving "knaves" and "wenches" treat you like medieval royalty. They called us "Sir" and "Milady".

You can dress as you want. We went in normal, casual clothing. Some people dressed up in costume, but it's all in how you want to go. You are treated as a guest there. You are also given a paper crown with your knight's coordinating color on it.

As the show goes on, you are encouraged to cheer on your knight (each seating section is colored and has a coordinating knight fighting for you). Standing up and waving your flag, screaming and booing other knights is appropriate and encouraged! Be barbaric. We were! LOL

Shows vary from place to place, and the horses are gorgeous. They had huge horses doing neat tricks, hawks flying around, etc. I don't want to ruin the show for you, so I won't give any more details into that.

I do recommend that you buy the premium tickets. This will get you a seat in the first row (it's the best and worth it).

Overall, I will definitely be going again soon. Have fun, let loose and enjoy yourself. Also, purchase the souvenir photo. I love mine and am glad I splurged.

Spending Halloween day & night in Salem, MA - many questions!!! URGENT!?

I went there on Halloween 2 years ago and it was very crowded but tons of fun!
Stopped in almost all the bars (lines to get in some of them) but you didn't have to wait very long. Everyone was walking around wearing costumes from mid afternoon and most of them were fantastic and unique! You won't see many store bought costumes here. Lots of street performers too.
I thought it was very similar to Mardi Gras in New Orleans with the crowds of people and all the fun.
You can walk to everything but you have to anyways because they close all the streets to traffic in the downtown area on Halloween night!
Beware that around 11pm the police start clearing the streets and soon after the water trucks come to hose down the streets. You can still walk on the streets but you can't loiter like you could earlier.
None of the attractions like the haunted houses were worth the time and wait.
Hope for good weather!

I'm not comfortable with a role I was cast in? (Noises off play)?

This may be long so brace yourself. I'm in high school ( a freshman). And I do a lot of acting around the community (usually children's theatre or musicals). I got cast as a lead in the fall play which is good. We are doing "Noises Off". I got the role of "Brooke". The director asked if I was okay with wearing skimpy outfits at the audition, and I said its fine. After I got the role, I watched the show online and found out I had to wear lingerie. There's a difference between a "skimpy outfit" and lingerie. My mom is going to not be so happy if she doesn't like what I'm wearing. And I want to look somewhat modest. It overall makes me feel anxious bc I'm pretty insecure about my thighs too. I don't want to give up my role, because if I do, I can't audition for the Spring Musical. How do I kind of guide the directors choice of costume or fix this situation? Any help? I'm desperate!
