Good PC Games for 1.8GHz?

Well I have a Gamestop gift card that is about to expire so I need to spend it. If you know of any decent PC games that will run on 1.8GHz please tell me, some games I have enjoyed are COD 1 and 2, Serious Sam the Second Encounter, a really old WWII Airplane Fighters game that uses a joystick, and Medal of Honor. These are just some off the top of my head, so I guess I like shooter games. Thanks

Do i need a good video card to play pc games?

Chances are that if you get a more current game, you're going to need a more current video card. Unfortunately, video cards get more and more and more dynamic as every day passes and they make the games tailored to these new standards alot of times. So, saying that, you'll probably need less of a fancy video card if the game is considerably older (10 years+). But if the game has been made in the past 5 years, you're going to want to upgrade. Newegg.com has good prices and reliable reviews on video cards, so start there. And more importantly, you can kinda search for one based on what you need in your gaming experience. And here's a tip: NEVER NEVER NEVER buy a video card from Best Buy or any other big name electronics store. You'll pay way too much for a card that does way too little. Take it from me on this one. You get what you pay for with video cards.

How much money do you need to build a good gaming PC that can run the newest games in the highest settings?

If you’re looking to build a new computer and there’s no emergency to get it right now, I’d recommend waiting around a month to a month and a half for AMD to release their Vega GPUs.If it’s an emergency or if you just can’t wait that long, read on:If you want to build an extreme gaming PC capable of ultra settings and decent frame rates at 4K resolution and two 4K monitors, you’re looking at spending at least $2,500 to around $4,000 depending on the quality and size of the monitors you get (4K doesn’t tell us much, a 24″ 4K monitor with a 7–8ms response time and 60Hz max frequency costs a lot less than a 32″ 4K monitor with a 1ms response time and overclockable 60Hz frequency but even then, for 2 semi decent 4K monitors that won’t have ghosting in games and video playback, you’re looking at spending around $700 to $800).So if we spend ~$700 on the monitors, that leaves us with ~$1,300 for everything else that needs to go into the computer and that’s just not enough for a computer capable of 4K gaming at ultra settings and decent frame rates. You can, however, get a computer capable of running games at 4K resolution at high to almost ultra settings and pretty high frame rates. Here’s the build I’d propose:CasingDeepCool ATX Mid Tower TESSERACT SW-RD$39.99MotherboardASUS PRIME B250M-A$85.00CPUIntel 7th Gen Intel Core Desktop Processor i7-7700K$329.00CPU CoolerCooler Master Hyper 212 EVO$29.84Graphics CardEVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition, 8GB GDDR5$399.99RAMCrucial 8GB Single DDR4 2400 MT/s x 2$119.90HDDWD Blue 1TB SATA 6 Gb/s 7200 RPM 64MB Cache$49.99SSDSamsung 960 EVO Series - 250GB PCIe NVMe - M.2 Internal SSD$127.99Thermal CompoundArctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (Pack of 2)$6.00Power SupplyEVGA 600 B1, 80+ BRONZE 600W, 3 Year Warranty, Includes FREE Power On Self Tester$47.27Operating SystemMicrosoft Windows 10 Home USB Flash Drive$109.98Grand Total with Operating System: $1,294.96MonitorAOC U2879VF Featured 28'' 4K UHD 2160p x 2$707.24Grand Total: $2,002.20Hope this helps :-)

A good Vampire based PC game?

I just got done playing Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines. Deffinetly the best vampire game I've ever played. You start out just after you get bit, and start to learn about being a vampire. Doesn't take too long till some crazy stuff starts to go on in the game. I thought it was a very good game that really immerses you into what it would be like to be a vampire in the modern age, deffinetly try it out if your looking for a good vampire PC game.

It runs on the Half Life 2 Steam Engine so it also looks really good, and can be played in the 1st or 3rd person and it has lots of free roam to it similier to Deus Ex.

There's also the Bloodrayne series which I've never played but heard were quite good.

There's also Vampire The Masquerade Redemption which is a much older game then Bloodlines. It's a point and click style game where your a Crusader that hunts vampires that gets turned into one himself. I had a okay time with it but you can give it a shot.

Hope this helps you.

What are some good adventurous PC games?

Sorry - a gamer is a gamer - whether a girl or a boy. So, I don't believe that girls will necessarily like non-violent games only. And I am pretty sure because I have cousins who just love games like Diablo. So, here are my recommendations of some great games in no particular order:Diablo 2. This seems to be one of the favourite with girls. You can try Diablo 3 also - but the tone of Diablo 2 is just so much better. Assassin's Creed®World of Warcraft - There were so many women playing this game. A sense of progression. Being able to play with husbands/bfs/friends. I was even in a guild whose guild master was a woman. Another guild I was in had a pretty damn good mage who was a girl. Its a MMO though - you will need a good internet connection. Thief on Steam - You play as a stealthy character. Don't like killing - ok - figure out the way around the guards to get to your destination taking the cover of shadows. Tomb Raider - Most games have a male protagonist - but this one makes you play as a female. Great adventure story. Banished - If you like simulation - you can try this. Build your own village to prosper or see them dying once winter sets in. Sid Meier's Civilization® V - This is a different kind of game. You play turns against the computer and build up your civilization. Difficult to figure out but once you do, its quite addictive.  StarCraft II - Someone has suggested Age of Empires. Though its a good game - it is better when skirmishing against friends. I would suggest Startcraft though as it has a more interesting story.

Good PC games for 4 year old girl?

My little girl is 4 and is in reception class at school. We've just bought a PC and I want to know what good educational games I can buy for her (we dont have the internet yet so no online ones please)

I've purchased a few that say for ages 3+ but they are still a bit too complicated.

Any ideas would be great.

Thanks

Need to find some good PC games that don't require a controller.?

Going on a long flight and would like to take a game or two for my laptop. I don't want to have to fool with a controller though so it has to be 'playable' with the keyboard. It's a 1.33mhz with 256mg ram so nothing to fancy I guess. Thanks.

What are some good PC games that can be bought on hard copy and do not need internet to be registered/installed?

Well, a lot of older PC games would fit the bill off the top of my head, especially anything that runs in DOS, Windows 3.x, Windows 9x, and Windows 2000/XP, as many of them predate the online registration requirements. That said however, they are pretty old at this point, so your mileage may vary with them, especially depending on your skillset for getting them to run!Otherwise, you could always check out http://GOG.com, as although the games are digital, they are DRM free as well, which sounds like what you're looking for. As an added bonus, the older games are all configured so they run on newer systems.Of course, knowing the genres you prefer would help with giving you a less generalised answer, as there's thousands of games out there!
