All audio apps like this save in their own format. This saves the work in a multi-track format for later editing. As an example Audacity will save and preserve a 6 track composition as 6 tracks in it's own format of .aud It can be opened later and the tracks edited individually. It also gives the option to export another format be it wav or mp3 etc. I've got Acid Xpress the free lite version of yours. Save or save as saves as a .acd file (own format) To save in a different format select "render as" and a choice will be given. Can't figure why yours saves as skf though. Mine is short some functions compared to your version but I would have thought the file format would be the same. I suppose all you can do is try the render option and see what happens.
