I Need A Poem For My Sister For Mother Day

Can you write a poem about mothers?

I did pen down a few lines about my mother, who was, is and will continue to be the most influential person in my life. Words fall short when I try to describe such an amazing soul :) She's definitely beyond what words can describe :)Title : The GodsentIn a world so cruel and unkindA soul that can never be definedThere she was, very strongAnd carried me all alongHearing it's a baby girlShe rejoiced with great thrillHolding gently from the day I was bornShe walked along in every turnOne who made my fantasyMove into the realms of ecstasyCatering my every needSilently watched me succeedWiping off the tearsShe did whip off all my fearsBehind me as a wallThere was never a no to my callWith hundreds of tales to tellShe lifted me when I fellFrom babbling to fluent talkCrawling to confident walkAll the love you showered on meIs something I can never repayI owe my life to youI promise to be with youForever your way.Mommy dearest you'll always beOh Mom! Always loved by meOn a dark night, like a shining moonYou are to me indeed a BOON.And that is it. Here i conclude by saying, Lets worship these wonderful, selfless souls for a lifetime and beyond :)

What are some poem ideas for my mother in law?

It depends what she is like and why you want poems for her. Is it a gift for her in some way? Some kind of acknowledgement of her or her interests might be nice. If she grew up in the country, something like Mary Oliver’s ‘Blackberries’ might show that you remember that about her. Or a poem about the time when her birthday comes, like Louis MacNeice, ‘September has come, it is hers’ from Autumn Journal. Or a poem about being a mother, like Sylvia Plath’s ‘Morning Song’:Love set you going like a fat gold watch. The midwife slapped your footsoles, and your bald cryTook its place among the elements. Our voices echo, magnifying your arrival. New statue. In a drafty museum, your nakednessShadows our safety. We stand round blankly as walls.I’m no more your motherThan the cloud that distills a mirror to reflect its own slowEffacement at the wind’s hand. All night your moth-breathFlickers among the flat pink roses. I wake to listen:A far sea moves in my ear.One cry, and I stumble from bed, cow-heavy and floralIn my Victorian nightgown.Your mouth opens clean as a cat’s. The window squareWhitens and swallows its dull stars. And now you tryYour handful of notes; The clear vowels rise like balloons.

How did you surprise your mom this Mother's Day?

I asked mom to go out with me for shopping and to have fun together. (she didn't know its mother's day).but my plan was failed. she had some work to do. she denied. I had to change my plan. I called my friend to go for shopping with me. she said, I know you are going to buy gift for your Mom. yeah! but how do you know? I asked. Because I was planning the same. she said. Then, I bought a ‘Mangalsutra' ( sacred jewellery worn by married women) and a night gown for Mom.*reached home*Mom: kya kya kharid layi aaj ? ( What have you bought today?)Me: (hugged her) Happy mother's day Mummy.Mom: Oh its mothers day today? Han aaj dekha to tha newspaper me. ( yes, i saw in the newspaper today) but I ignored. well, thank you very much.Me: yes mummy. and see what I have bought for you? A little and light ‘Mangalsutra'. you need not to wear this heavy Mangalsutra in hot Summer. and a night gown, perfect outfit for summers.Mom: Is this little, light Mangalsutra of gold ?*face palm*Me: ahemm… no Mom. Its artificial. how can I…Mom: pagali.( crazy) I am just kidding. this is more precious for me. I am so happy today.Me : but I’ll buy you the real (of gold) one too. very soon.Mom : Hmm… but I already have one.Me: still Mummy.and this way we celebrated Mother's day !

What do you think is the best mothers day gift?

one mothers day i didn't have any money to get my mother anything. i felt really bad, but in the evening i sat down at the piano and as i thought about who she was and what she's done in my life the words came out with music. my mom was a single mom who never once had it easy in her life. but she gave everything she had for her two kids despite the odds. if you want to give your mom something special that would mean more to her than anything physical: write her a song. if you can't write a song, write a poem, if you can't write a poem, write a letter. Tell her how you feel. here's a few words for my mom for inspiration:

When i look into your eyes I see a distant light,
Of a mother watching her baby grow up before her eyes
Don't know what to do, just hoping for the best,
Praying to God to keep her family blessed.

You're a fighter and a winner
You find strength in your family
You love one another
and forever you will be...
You just keep on going no matter what it takes
and for that I honor you on this mother's day.

I know it's been hard, things just couldn't have been easy
there were things you couldn't help but you never let them be
you always tried your best but it seemed it was never enough
you sometimes felt but, but you never did give up...cause
back to chorus

There's a million things that i've wanted to say
That i try to tell you day after day
That I love you and I'm always thinking of you
And just remember this, that I'll be there for you.
No matter where I go, no matter what I do
You'll always be with me and I will be with you...
Chorus

you can use my song if it says to your mom what your heart is trying to convey but please don't steal it it is copyrighted.

Oh... and that night after i wrote it.. i called my mom and played it for her over the phone.. she cried. till this day, 8 years later, she still says it's the best Mother's day gift she's ever gotten. good luck.

Does anyone know of a nice poem I could read to my sister on her wedding day?

This is the poem my sister read to me on my wedding day still makes me cry.

TO MY SISTER ON HER WEDDING DAY

REMEMBER ALL THE THINGS WE SHARED
WHEN WE WERE BOTH STILL SMALL

I CLOSE MY EYES AND TRAVEL BACK,
AND STILL CAN SEE IT ALL

WHEN I REMEMBER HAPPY TIMES
I ALWAYS THINK OF YOU

IT MAKES ME SMILE WHEN I RECALL
THOSE THINGS WE USED TO DO-

I ALSO THINK OF TEARS WE SHED
AND THINGS WE OVERCOME

AND EVEN THOUGH OUR LIVES HAVE CHANGED
OUR LOVE IS STILL THE SAME

THE CLOSENESS ONLY SISTER KNOW
IS ETCHED IN BOTH OUR HEARTS

AND MAY YOUR HOPES & DREAMS COME TRUE
AS YOUR MARRIAGE STARTS

PLEASE KNOW THAT IN THE YEARS TO COME
MY LOVE FOR YOU WILL GROW

AND I’LL BE WITH YOU EVERYDAY
NO MATTER WHERE YOU GO
