Tattoo advice for a guy?
I think your better off having something in mind before you go in. The more information you give your artist they better they will be able to create what you envision. When I got mine done it came out exactly like the picture I had. Make sure you do some research on the person who is going to do the Tattoo. Ask to see their portfolio that way you can judge their skills. Not all artists are created equal and some specialize in different types of tattoos. So for example if you want to have a portrait tattoo done you want to see a Tattoo artist that specializes in that kind of artistry. Regarding the body hair. If you have your tattoo placed on our chest or leg they will shave you to do the tattoo. You have options for hair removal once the hair starts growing back and your tattoo has healed. You could wax to have it removed or shave it. I wouldn't do the laser hair removal because that might affect your tattoo. The acne on your back and and shoulders, if it's occasional shouldn't be an issue. I have my tattoo on my back and occasionally get a zit and then it goes away and all is good. Your tattoo artist will be able to tell you if it's too severe to have a tattoo placed there. Placement is a personal choice. It depends on what you want done. Just remember to keep your longtime tattoo goal in mind. I've seen people where their tattoo's are just all over the place and there is no rhyme or reason to them, there's no theme, and I've seen others where they took the time and thought further down the road of what they wanted all their tattoos to look like. To me, the ones that took the time look better. It's like a story that was written on their body. Good luck!!
Tattoo design advice please?
I'm getting a tattoo soon to represent my miscarriage. I want to get an old-fashioned bird cage with the gate open and a little pink and blue bird flying out. I have this whole vision in my head but I also want it to say something and I can't quite think of the right thing. I don't want it to be an obvious miscarriage tattoo because it does stand for so many more things in my life. At first I was thinking of something simple like "Forever Flying" or "Forever Free". But I'm just not sure. I was also thinking of maybe putting a star in the birds mouth and writing something like "Putting another star in the sky". The baby's middle name would have been Sterling which reminds me of stars. So that might make it a little more personal but not too obvious. I don't want any dates or names to represent my baby because I feel like that's something I want to keep to myself or personally tell someone. What do you think of these ideas? And if you can think of anything at all that might go, feel free to suggest them. I'm kind of thinking of the whole "being set free" theme, but I'm open for anything. It would be a fairly small tattoo so I don't want a bunch of words. Thank you! :)
Need Kanji Tattoo Advice?
For a phrase that long, i think it would be a bit difficult to portray such a meaning using 1 Kanji character. May be possible through as I'm not an expect but do have Kanji tattoos myself. I recommend the people at http://jlcosaka.com/ - I got my Kanji tattoo translations from them, overall I'm very satisfied and I strongly recommend using a professional service to get an accurate translation error free, believe me, you don't want to end up with the wrong meanings tattooed. Cheers
Any ideas or advice about a penis tattoo?
I'm thinking about getting a tattoo around and/or on my penis. I'm still not 100% sure I want to get one but I am fairly sure. I have a few ideas so far, mostly just tribal designs up above it but I was also considering a scorpion where the body is on my torso and the tail runs down my penis. I guess I'm mostly asking the girls but if any guys have good ideas I'm open. Just don't say an elephant, a key, or the welcome to jamaica joke. Also I'm not looking for advice from a little good girl that will only do missionary and thinks tattoos r wrong and say I should spend more time in church, I like girls that r adventurous and like to try new things.
Ideas for adding onto my tattoo?
hello im Jim, listen heres what you need to do first with that piece, ill start off by telling you that i am a profesional tattoo artist ,as of "08" ive been in the trade for 20 years so i DO know what im talking about, get it reworked, the idea is very good tattoo matierial you can do a whole heck of alot with that piece but it definetly needs to be reworked , no offense but dont go to the guy who did it to begin with ,you only get one chance to realy fix a tattoo find a good artist by that i mean a good Tattooist once youve reworked the original and its complete you could do all sorts of things for backround depth, you could do cloudwork very colorfull and a good spot on the body for color to hold up well , or you could also go with some nice light greywork for your backround, if you went grey id sugest more floral work , just do it in grey for a nice contrast , in short its not a bad start at all and it could realy be a nice piece if work , you just need a good tattooist..........my source.....right below
TATTOO IDEAS???????? I NEED YOUR OPINIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
get your social security number in roman numerals! haha Maybe just your birth year would be best, so it's not too long. but i would wait a year after you decide what you want to make sure you still want it, it's always been my mom's advice to me and my siblings (which we all do have tattoos), and it's pretty good advice. Impulsive decisions are bad when it comes to tattoos!
Half sleeve tattoo design advice?
I really want to get a half sleeve tattoo but I don’t know where to start with designing it. I have a few ideas of what I want to get in it but I don’t know how to put it together to look good (I’m no artist)! I want to have an old style boom box type radio with music notes and stars coming out of the speakers and a swallow somewhere in the tattoo, I want it to be feminine too. I'm totally open to any ideas you can give me, can anyone give me tips on how to design my tattoo or help me design it please? And please don't answer with 'don't get it' or 'tattoos look horrible on girls' because that's not what I asked, thanks :)
I have become self-conscious of my tattoo....need advice?
A few years ago I took interest in getting a "NO FEAR" tattoo on my upper arm. Similar to the popular logo, I've taken a liking to the idea of having it permanently on my arm as a reminder that there should be nothing to fear about in life; essentially no worries and just nothing to be afraid of. I'm trying to just be myself but every time someone wants to see it, I can just tell they find it ridiculous and a waste of money. How else could I explain to people that it's really a good saying - no fear? If you saw the tat, would you think it was purely obnoxious and ridiculous?
