I Need Help Finding A Tv Show I Used To Watch On Vhs

Please help find this nostalgic cartoon from 80's!!?

"Poko and Friends" was a children's animated series I used to watch many years back as a kid (around 80's) Unfortunately I've got no further clue of the cartoon, except one old, black & white photo, one of my friends found in a magazine. Besides, I'm not sure about its real name though as far as I remember, The boy was called "Poko". Being friends with this fantastic, spherical creature named "Jupi" or "Jupiter" who kept four balls on his head, he took one of his balloons whenever he had a wish. Blowing up the balloon, he would take a short journey up in the skies in sleepwear every night and when he would come back to his room, his desire was fulfilled. (He would sing a kiddy song like this while going up: Jupie, Jupia, lala la la la la la la) I remember this episode in which "poko" desired to shrink and become as small as mice. Eventually, his fantasy was answered and he could enter a mouse hole while his parents were searching for him. I really long for watching it once more or at least finding a few clues about its real name or the country. To be honest, I hope some unknown friend will help me to find it again, sooner or later.

Is is possible to watch live tv online?

I need HELP!!! finding this Christmas movie that came out in the mid 90's.?

Well, as a self admitted you tube addict I came across a cartoon that I used to watch as a child. My parents were always about making sure we weren't exposed to the evils of some of the nasty cartoons that were on tv. So the 1934 cartoons were what my sister and I got to watch. I came across Jack Frost, Mother Hubbard, and all those wonderful old cartoons. Anyone else remember the song " I don't have to worry, I don't have to care, My coat is very furry I'm a grizzly grizzly bear"? I know Virtine does. It was awesome though. I absolutely LOVE youtube! It's the best.

I pulled this from a search. Go to YOUTUBE and search for any of these names: Jack Frost, Grizzly Grizzly bear, etc.

Good luck!

If Disney VHS tapes are rare and are going to cost a lot of money, how do I go about selling them for a fortune?

First of all, DO NOT throw them in the dump! Used VHS tapes donated to Salvation Army and other thrift stores and then sold, provide a source of income to the employees who work there. Kids still love Disney movies and since VHS tapes are less fragile than DVDs, you can let them pop in a movie and it doesn’t matter if they drop it, or even spill something on it, because the tape didn’t cost you as much and requires less “babying” than a dvd. I have lots of both, and the thing that I always find annoying is how I have to do as much as possible to avoid getting any fingerprints on the dvd, especially if it’s a double-sided disk.As I said, your best option would be to donate old Disney or any VHS tapes to a second-hand store so that someone else can benefit from them, and still keep some people employed. Only if the tapes were damaged would I throw them out, and even in that case, I would still put them in the recycling section, NOT in the garbage. Hope this helps!

I'm looking for a vhs adapter 8mm where can i get one?

Danielle - Sorry, what you are looking for does not exist. 8mm is a completely different format than VHS. All you can do is connect your 8mm camcorder to a TV or VCR using the audio/video cable.

There is no converter - sorry.

If you don't have a 8mm camera, you will need to buy or borrow one.

Charter DVR Problems, please help?

Good evening,

My name is Jeremy Daniels, and I am a Senior Social Media Specialist with Charter. I am terribly sorry to hear about the trouble you are having with your DVR, and I can certainly understand the frustration of not being able to watch the shows you recorded. In most cases play back errors can be resolved by unplugging the box from power and then plugging it back in after a couple of minutes. If this doesn’t work then in most cases it means that the DVR itself may need to be replaced.

If you have any other questions, feel free to email us at umatter2charter@chartercom.com with some account information. We can either schedule a tech to come out to replace the equipment, or provide you with the address to your local office where you can swap the box as well. When you contact us, make sure to put “Yahoo –Tommy ” in the subject line so I know it is for me.

You can find more information on our team at: http://www.charter.com/Umatter2Charter.

Thanks,

On many TV shows and movies, the dynamic range between loud sound effects and soft-spoken dialog is very great. How can you adjust this (watching at home) to find an acceptable volume level that allows you to hear dialog?

Nothing you can do about how broadcasters output their signals. The only answer to this problem if you don't want adverts blaring out full volume or sudden deep drum rolls someone added for suspense is to add your own dynamic control to their output. Some old vhs videos used to have a limiter, very handy for that problem. You can add your own dynamics softwate if you play media over pc, but usually you need to get the signal out via own equipment to a separate amplifier. There's supposed to be a new standard to make this a problem of the past but it won't help on YouTube or if the program maker wants to have a large dynamic range in their release. I have seen dynamic controls in some new ty's so maybe your lucky and got a solution in your system already.

I want my classic Disney VHS movies on dvd?

I suppose you could get a DVD burner and hook it up to your VCR.

I totally understand what you are going through. I still have many VHS that I want to watch, but I don't really want to pay for the DVDs. And then they came out with Blu-Ray... are you kidding me? What next?!?! Technology is annoying.

Will a standard DVD player work fine with a 4K TV?

If the TV supports the DVD’s output, yes. The problem is that many newer TVs have stopped supporting composite video (or S-Video) and may have exclusively HDMI and component video inputs. In that case, your DVD player can’t be connected to your TV. So, check the available outputs in your DVD player and whether they are supported by your new TV.
