Can you record songs and in fl studio the free demo version?

You can but you won’t be able to save the session or your presets but honestly continue with the demo version. Try it out and gradually work towards the Signature Bundle. The only backlash with the demo version is you will be limited on sounds to use and will not be able to save your work.I have a solution for both. You can export the stems, save them to your desktop (in a folder) and upload the session when ever you’re ready to work on them againYou can go here and download tons of sounds to add to the program = Producer NowWith those two options you should be able to enjoy the demo version substantially until you can download the full FL Studio Signature or Producer version.Sound Download: The Ultra Instinct Production BundleThank me later

How do I master a song with clear and loud sound in FL Studio?

First of all, one should be very clear about mastering the mix. It's not a single virtual knob to deal with. It's a huge concept, require lots of experience. I think, no one till now is the king of mastering, they can't even say themselves, the same.No one can teach you, how to master. It's a self learning process. You'll develop after each and every attempt, examining the sounds with the perfect gear (it's important).Mastering the mix is an art to give the perfect space to each elements, without losing it's significant frequencies, up to the maximum volume(gain) level. In the case of FL studio, inbuilt tools like Maximus (optimize towards the required frequencies), Soundgoodizer (makes sound crispier), Wavecandy (examining the inhead audio distribution & db level) etc. are mostly used.Well, the above mentions uses the basic audio equalization. It's direct and easiest way to do. But, when it comes to channel splitting (mono/ stereo), mechanical arrangements are required, or it can be performed virtually in FL studio. For, this it's mandatory to know about “Mid-side Processing”.What is Mid/Side Processing? In FL studio, Patcher is the ultimate tool to implement Mid-Side Processing. The above arrangements, which allows you to split the optimistized mono & stereo channel passing over Stereo Shaper & then through Fruity Parametric EQ 2, which creates the balanced output.Remember : All these operations are done only in master channel. These are some of the basic theory to do so, but remember again, there is no hard & fast rule for mastering. Everyone is learning by their mistakes. Using tools (vsts/plugins) effectively is also an art. Go! train your ears.

How can I stop a loop from continuously repeating in FL studio?

You may be in Pattern Mode. Where when you press play you are playing a loop of the pattern you have made. This may be the pattern 1 that is default when you open a project. The point of FL Studio is to draw patterns into the Timeline and have alternating patterns play in a sequence to create a whole track. In FL Studio 12, clicking on the foot icon up top puts you in pattern mode. When you have drawn some patterns in the timeline you can start to play your song in Song mode. This is the speaker and play icon looking button on the top of your Timeline box.Make sure you make different patterns by creating new pattern or cloning your old pattern and modifying it to create variance in your song on the timeline.Only then will you start to have a song and not just one pattern.

How can I alter the pitch of a sound sample in FL studio without changing the tempo?

I read all these answers, and NONE of them tell you how to alter the pitch without changing the tempo. If you are going to change the pitch of the sample without changing the tempo, you can’t have the ‘stretch’ setting on ‘Resample’, as that will do the exact opposite of what you want (change the pitch, tempo changes with it). All of the other stretching methods are either ugly or obsolete (or both, but this is my opinion, experiment with what works best for you). The best way to do it (again, my opinion) is to use the absolutely amazing real-time stretching method. Once you try this method, you will believe me. (once more, my opinion.)First, you must go into the sampler, and under ‘Time stretching’, choose the ‘Stretch’ mode. If it’s a one-shot, right click and reset the ‘TIME’, or if it is a loop, detect the tempo, set it to project tempo (if it is at the project tempo), or input the tempo yourself (in BPM if you know what the tempo is). Then, you can change the pitch without alterations to the tempo of the sample. You can also adjust the ‘TIME’ to stretch the one-shot/loop to your liking, or to fit the tempo of the song. This feature, however, is only FL Studio 12 (the latest versions). If you don’t have this, and you would like to experience this great feature, email me here: dangerzone350@gmail.com

Why do some people say FL Studio will never sound as good as other mainstream DAWs?

FL Studio is associated with "bedroom producers" because it was so popularly torrented when DJing and EDM started taking root in pop-culture about 6 years ago. Because so many amateurs used the software, a lot of people thought that the quality of sound coming out of FL as a DAW was sub-par, but this wasn't a fault of the DAWs but rather the amateurs. FL Studio features all of the necessary components to build an incredible track and composition, it's just a matter of whether the composer is cognizant of the software capabilities at his/her fingertips. Deadmau5 started with FL Studio and produced great tracks. What gave FL such a poor reputation was these amateurs neglecting mixing and mastering their tracks, so the final product was often subpar. FL is excellent for getting a track up-and-running extremely quickly, but mixing and mastering takes a good ear and a good knowledge of how the final product will be emitted from various types of speakers.

What are two ways to sidechain in FL Studio?

To expand on Abhishek CV's answer, I'll try and be more detailed about it.Method 1 (Peak controller):Load the Peak controller into the channel where the sidechain input is routed to (the sound that will compress the other sound, let's say the KICK). Now you have two options, depending on what you want to do: The normal thing to do is link the volume fader of the mixer insert (or channel), where the sound you want to sidechain (let's say BASS) is routed, to the Peak controller.OR you can load an EQ into the mixer insert you want to sidechain, set one parameter to HP mode and link control frequency of the parameter to the Peak controller. This way only the bass frequencies get silenced when the sidechain kicks in. This is good if you want to keep the bass audible, while keeping the kick clear.Method 2 (Fruity Limiter):Not much to say here. Just select the mixer insert you want to sidechain with. While selected, right-click on another insert's routing icon and select 'sidechain to this track'. This basically means the signal will be routed from one mixer insert to another, without any sound being routed. This signal Fruity Limiter uses to sidechain with. So load the limiter into the mixer insert you want sidechained, go to the comp section and right-click on the sidechain source window (it's below the attack and release controls). Then lower the threshold and ratio by ear, and edit the attack and release the same way. Most of the time you'll want your attack on zero.Method 3 (Gross beat):Surprisingly, this method is pretty straight-forward and offers lots of flexibility. Just load Gross beat into the mixer insert and select the sidechain preset in the volume section. Change the curve types into whatever you think sounds best. As a starting position I recommend selecting double curve and playing with the tension. Play around with the points and tension and you can get some pretty groovy sidechain patterns.Method 4 (Automation):In layman tongue, sidechaining is nothing but lowering the volume of one sound when another sound plays. So if you have a simple sidechaining sound, with a predictable pattern (like a 4-to-floor kick), you can do that manually. Create an automation clip and make 4 beat sidechaining pattern and clone it in the playlist. Not a good method, but it's an option.

In FL Studio, is there a way to specify different numbers of beats per bar for different patterns?

Hi,Well you can let the piano specify how many bars the pattern will have.. It will expand as much as the piano notes length, plus, dont forget to turn the step sequence repeat option.

Where can i find a free beat maker online?

First: get an intrument first and learn msuic(if you already do this I apologize. I just had to say that because I know too many people who claim they are musicians because the make beats on the computer, but know nothing about music)
2: Your going to have to put some money down to get a program that makes quality beats. a good this to start off with is FL Studio, which is about $300. There is a free download for it, but you won;t be able to save your beats.
and if you are serious about producing while you use FL studio save up for real equipment

How does FL Studio work and what can it be used for?

Can you type in microsoft word? Learning FL is roughly like learning Ms word btw (only if you know the concept of music composing, mixing, arranging). Because it isn't like coding. What you see is what you get.First, I decide the genre. I want to make tropical house music. So, I set the tempo to 100-115bpm (setting tempo, volume, panning, etc is easy btw. Just click and change the paramater)To draw chords/melody on piano roll, it is easy btw. Just looking at the key and timing. It is also applied to drum sequence. Just look at timing. I assume that I've done with vertical arranging.I think that the sound is muddy. The bass, kick, and low frequency instrument clash each other. So, I look at mixing book. It says that I have to group each instrument first(create mixing buss). Kick, hat, snare, cymbal, tom is grouped as drum. Another instrument is Lead, Background, Foreground, and bass. So I search on internet how to create mixing buss in FL studio then find it. Then I want to make the sound better. It says that I can use EQ, filter, compressor, reverb and panning so that the instruments don't fight each other. I learn how they works. Then, just change the parameter of each effect. The point is knowing the concept. If you aren't sure yet, you can watch pro producer creating their masterpiece in youtube. Just imitate them.To learn about edm concept, music theory, and DAW. The source is…Avicii in the studio - The Making of Dancing In My HeadThis is avicii in the studio. Before I opened my daw, I had watched it. Then I imitated till I was familiar with the DAW.musictheory.net - LessonsEDMProd - Ideas & Resources for EDM ProducersTo learn about music, this is the most awesome source. It's free btw.And the last is mixing and mastering bookMixing and Mastering in the Box: The Guide to Making Great Mixes and Final Masters on Your Computer - Kindle edition by Steve Savage.
