I Need Help Urgent I Have Mold Growing Around My But-hole

Urgent! My fish is dieing! SOS!!!?

my female guppy is all fuzzy, it's scales look like they are spiked up. She is keep on sinking to the ground. They are so poor... They don't seem like they are sick. Is it a breeding problem?

URGENT!!! my painted turtle dead or hibernating?

Give us more info about her home. There is alot of info online on how to let outdoor pet turtles hibernate. If shes inside then there could be something wrong with the conditions.

** That may something to do with it. A sudden drop in temp will cause that dazed state. If you dont have one, get a turtle proof tank heater for the water. One with a temperature dial thats enclosed in plastic. You can get them at big pet stores. Keep the water between 76 and 80 degrees at all times.

Its hard for turtles to digest their food without a very warm basking area or warm water. Also try feeding it softer insects. Silk worms are best but hard to find out of season. Earthworms and feeder fish (rosy minnows) are ok once in a while. Turtle pellets are best with fresh greens (no romain)

The hard bodied insects like crickets can cause blockages.

If you cant get a water heater soon for her than id drop the water level so she cant just sit submerged in cold water. A good trick is to put a few inches of warm water in your sink and soak her in it for about an hour. Definately go get a heat bulb and give her a warmer basking area.

You can get her to snap out of it but it may take a little time. Dont offer her any more food until she is active again.

I keep my turtles tank at 80 degrees at all times (the water) with a reptile basking lamp shining at an angle on the dock.

**You dont want her to go into hibernation because she just ate. The food can rot in their stomach. So just warm her up and keep it warm and she should be ok.

And dont let it bother you when people try to insult you for simply not having all the info you need for a pet. Its better to inform people of what they need and help them to improve the habitat, then it is to insult them. Obviously this turtle means someting to you or you wouldnt have asked for help. Which means you will probably do everything that is needed to provide the turtle a proper home..

Yes. It should be a reptile heat lamp. The box has reptiles on it.
Yes id get her in water closer to 76 or higher.

**look at my best answers page. There is one for what red eared sliders need. I put a long list there. All the basics for aquatic turtle care.

Question about outlet smoking after hair dryer use?

It depends on where the smoke was actually coming from.
1. It could be coming from a loose wire in the back of the outlet.
2. It could have been coming from a loose connection between the outlet and the plug. This would mean that the outlet itself is so worn out that it can no longer give a good tight connection on the plug.
3. If her hair dryer has one of those gfci plugs on the end of the cord, it even could have been coming from that. One can test that by putting the hair dryer into a different plug to see if the little gfci box on the cord smokes after running it for a while on high.

The other two scenarios can be fixed by replacing the outlet. While replacing it, use the screw down connections rather than the quick connect stabs in the back of the outlet.

Why did my goldfish develop a white string on his head?

2 days ago, I noticed my oldest goldfish (common) has a little white string, not even 1/2 an inch long, stuck to his head. I immediately did research and it is not the anchor worm infection because it doesn't look as bad and the string doesn't have a red ring. This has happened to one of my other goldfish before, but it went away in a few days. I don't know if this is a string of white poop sticking to his head or it's a terrible infection :o My goldfish is in a 100 gallon aquarium along with 4 others of the same kind (comets/commons). He still eats and swims normally so I wouldn't worry too much. I hope this one goes away the same way like the other guy.

Are there any skills all men need to possess?

I'd say there are several skills that help anyone in life - whatever their gender.basic budgeting and balancing your checking account.Basic cooking skills. Not talking fancy stuff, but being able to boil an egg or cook some rice and veggies so you don't have to eat out all the timeVery basic sewing skills, enough to sew a button back on or repair a seamBasic computer skills, enough to type a letter or resume (even if you "hunt and peck" type), search the web or print something outCleaning skills. Nobody wants to live in dirt, grime and mold - except maybe the insects that would attractLaundry - how to separate the colours (and whether you need to for that fabric) and how not to shrink or stretch your clothesSome social skills. You don't have to be the life of the party, but basic manners and some small talk helpsFor me, some small DIY skills help a lot when running a home. Changing a fuse (or resetting a breaker), tightening screws, patching small holes, painting, etc can save you a fortune over the yearsNot everyone is going to take these skills past the beginner level, and no-one needs to if they aren't interested. But I've saved a lot of money over the years knowing these skills at least at a base level. I've also saved a lot of stress knowing what I can put off calling emergency repairs for and what is actually urgent. One other thing to add may be basic CPR. Not everyone has a personality that is calm enough is an emergency to use it, but you could mean the difference between life and death for someone if you are.
