I Need Help With A Question On My Homework Help

I need help with two questions from my homework?

The answer to number one is d. The moon has no water erosion or weathering, and earthquakes would not provide useful information about radioactivity on the surface. The answer to number 2 is c. Scientists have been able to infer about the materials which make up the different layers of the earth by studing the time it takes for the waves to reach the surface. They have also noticed that the waves seem to speed up and slow down. This has lead them to believe that the earth has several different layers.

I need some help with my homework on ratio, proportion and percent someone help ?

i think the first three didn't read the question

they have selected ratio - high gloos:flat paint

whereas question asked is high gloss:total gallons

so ther answer is

57:90

Others are wrong!
This one is right
they didnt read the question

Further -
Actually you have to convert the two numbers into fractions and never forget the order in which it is asked
57/90 = 19/30

so another answer is 19:30
because 19/30 = 57/90

Hope i helped!

Second law of motion? i need help with my homework question?

(a) His downward acceleration due to gravity (g) is 9.81 m/s². Since we are given his falling distance rather than his falling time, we need to combine two standard equations into one that we can use:
v = g t with y = ½ g t², gives:
v = sqrt(2 g h)
v = sqrt[2(9.81 m/s²)(4.1 m)] = 9 m/s

(b) The average force exerted by his legs can be calculated from the deceleration of his torso from 9 m/s to zero over the given distance of 0.70 m.

This time we need to combine three standard equations to obtain one that we can use:
x = (v_avg)t = ½(v + v_o)t with v = v_o + a t and F = m a, gives:
v² = (v_o)² + 2(F/m)(x)
(0)² = (9 m/s)² + 2(F/48 kg)(0.70 m)
Solving for F, we get an average force of −2777 N.
(The negative sign tells us that the force is being applied in the opposite direction to that of the motion, i.e., it is a decelerating force, which we already knew to be the case.)

---edit---
Joe S's force value seems unrealistically large. Few if any humans could exert a force of that magnitude.

---edit 2---
I beg to differ with Joe S. I checked my arithmetic as well as his, and I believe he is the one who made an error in his velocity calculation. :)

I need help with my homework. Can you tell me your opinion on the Big Bang Theory?

The Big Bang Theory is an excellent sitcom.The Big Bang theory (notice the capitalization, scientists are humble people, they don’t put a capital to “theory”) is the best model we have that fits observations such as cosmic microwave background , redshift, and nucleosynthesis among others.

Can you help me with my homework?

I need help with this physics homework. The question is:

A flywheel is rotating at a high speed. No energy is being supplied to it. The flywheel is used to turn a dynamo, and the energy from the dynamo is used to light a bulb.
The experiment is repeated using a different bulb which gives out more energy each second. Compared to the first light bulb describe how the second light bulb will affect the motion of the flywheel and explain your answer.
