What euphemism needs to be abolished? Why?

I really dislike the phrase “to sleep together” as a euphemism for sex. First, it’s irritating when people are willing to mention something, but too cowardly to use the real words. To that end, all euphemisms, except the humorous ones, should be abolished. But the bigger problem with “to sleep together” is that it robs us of the ability to talk about two humans slumbering side by side in a bed they share in plain language without our listeners immediately thinking we’re talking about sex. There are many situations where a bed is shared without any sexual activity or feelings, but this stupid, overused euphemism makes it sound creepy to say something like, “He slept with his sister last night.”Out of context, that sentence sounds like it’s about incest, when it’s really only describing two siblings sleeping in the same bed.The second worst euphemism for sex, at a distant second, is “making love.” No one makes love. Love can’t be made, and shoving your genitals against someone else’s isn’t going to magically generate love.
