To calculate the average cost of a business trip from Los Angeles to New York, I used two common travel Websites (jetblue.com and hotwire.com), as well as a study from the General Service Administration (http://www.gsa.gov/portal/content/104208). I found out that round trip tickets from Los Angeles to New York can cost upwards of five hundred dollars, rental cars start from thirty-five dollars a day, average per diem for business trips starts at seventy-seven dollars for lodging, and forty-six dollars for meals. I came to the conclusion that a three day business trip for a face-to-face meeting will cost roughly one thousand dollars for one trip, making the cost of taking this trip six times a year six thousand dollars for one person, and eighteen thousand dollars for three people six times per year. Alternatively, I looked at the pricing for a well-known Webinar service (InstantPresenter.com), and the price for a monthly package starts at thirty-nine dollars to link up twenty-five attendees (http://www.instantpresenter.com/Web-Conferencing-Pricing.aspx), making the yearly cost for having nearly an infinite number of video conferences with twenty-five people a small fraction of what it would cost to send only three people physically to a meeting only six times a year. In conclusion, video conferencing, when it comes to cost alone, has a clear advantage over traditional face-to-face meetings.

I need help correcting a grammar and punctuation.?

Corporate President (spell out this title) Jones HAS asked us to work with the Production Division to design seminars on inventory control for THEIR SUPPORT and SERVICE employees. The one set of materials we have found on inventory CONTROL procedures SUGGESTS (this is a singular verb because "set" is a collective noun which takes a singular verb like group or congress or...) the SPEAKERS (NO apostrophe) should be faculty (NOT capitalized) with EXPERIENCE in the general AREA. DO you know anyone who HAS DEVELOPED material on inventory control policies, and who would have an INTEREST in conducting a seminar for our employees? (question mark in place of a period)

NOTE: I put the errors in capitals with explanations in parentheses. Your punctuation was the least problematic.

I have bad grammar and bad punctuation. Can I still be a writer?

I have bad grammar and bad punctuation. Can I still be a writer?Of course you can be a writer and a professional writer! If you’re bad enough you might even make Editor!I stopped taking the local newspaper decades ago when it became evident that the best and brightest left the print trade because those the papers hired and retained those who wrote below the 7th grade level. If you took a hard look at most Newspapers, and now, even the text on news websites, it’s evident that political affiliation and political correctness matters more than grammar or even competent thought. For fun, take a red pen and get a copy of a newspaper when drinking coffee and start marking the errors. There is likely going to be so much red on the paper it looks like it wrapped fresh meat that wasn’t properly bled. This is a huge confidence builder because if those people are professional writers, then anyone who can spout the party line can become one too.Sadly, I watched as it went from using the NYT to teach students how to write, to the NYT being used for humor on how a poor writer could make a living.

Many people believe that leaders are born, not made. However, anyone can be a strong leader as long as determination, open-mindedness, and optimism are learned and developed. First, determination is the key to becoming a strong leader. Determination can be learned every day by having both small goals, such as learning how to use the Internet, and bigger goals, like earning a bachelor’s degree. A person who is willing to work hard to accomplish goals in the face of challenges would, indeed, make a great leader. Being open-minded is another quality to learn if one wants to be an effective leader. A person who surrounds himself or herself with new ideas and perspectives can certainly learn to be a more open and fair leader. A leader who thoughtfully considers different points of view can help bridge divides and solve problems efficiently. Furthermore, optimism provides the foundation for good leadership. Simply put, a positive outlook can be contagious, and a leader who exhibits this trai
