I Need Help With My Study Guide From Accounting My Teacher Doesn

Is coaching required to clear the CFA level 1 for a chartered accountant?

See the thing is going to a coaching center is like being in a foreign country and getting the help of a tour guide. If you like the thrill of exploring a new place by yourself then that's fine. You can do it. You may take a bit longer but you decide your pace and how you do it. If Taking the help of a tour guide then it depends on the tour guide. If he's good then you will reach the destination pretty easily and you will know what to do and how to do it and they will guide you right. If he's not good he'll probably ruin your experience. Same with CFA coaching. If you get a good teacher it will make clearing it a bit easy. It's not a question of whether or not you can do it. It's about the ease with which you can do it. If you don't have the option of going to a class you can go online and attend classes. But personally I prefer going to a class and interacting with teachers and fellow students.

How do I study accounts in class 11 cbse in a smarter way?

Hello.Accounts is a practical subject which automatically means that it requires alot of practice. So you got to practice really hard. But, you must also learn to study it smart. That happens only when you optimally utilise your time. First of all practice for 2 hours daily. Do sums of each variety. In case you are not very sure about the concept, solve the illustrations that are given. They can help you alot. Then get back to regular exercises that are given.Once you are done with a particular chapter, take a slightly advanced book and solve the toughest questions of that particular chapter. This will make sure you are thorough with the same. Do this for all the chapters. As you reach towards your final exams, start solving papers. Be it sample paper or previous year paper, practice as many as possible under TIME CONSTRAINT. This will help you with your speed, accuracy level and will help you identify your weak areas. Analyze the paper once you are done and then work on your weak areas. Whichever chapter you feel you are not performing well, do it again. Get back to your book and practice sums from there. Make your own report card and analyze your performance. Keep finding loopholes and keep working on them. Go systematic. Have targets. And remember, stick to basics.Hope it helps.Good Luck!

What does an INVESTMENT BANKER do?

Everyone knows that investment banker salary is very attractive. But in reality an investment banker, though well paid in salary, gets much more bonuses at year end. For example, an investment banker who may make USD 200,000 per annum (many of them do) in salary would be earning about USD 700,000 to 750,000 in bonuses, which is approximately about 4 times his salary. Starting salaries range from USD 60, 000 per annum to USD 170, 000 per annum for graduates from top schools with bonuses that could range from USD 40, 000 to USD 60, 000 per annum and the best thing with investment banker salary is that though the salary remains constant, the bonus increases by roughly about USD 15, 000 per annum. As you go higher up the salaries touch the sky with Vice President’s taking home about half a million and CEO’s taking home anything between USD 1 to 2 million per annum. Now, I am sure there are a lot of people out there who are really interested in how to become an investment banker.

What would you do as an investment banker? From raising money to advisory services, underwriting and brokerage services to research, forex services to asset management –you do it all. But as an investment banker you have three main areas to operate in - Corporate Finance, Trading and Research Analysis. In Corporate Finance you would be dealing with corporate clients – giving advise such as mergers and acquisitions and raising money for them from the equity and debt market. In the Trading business you would be buying and selling securities and commodities while as a Research Analyst you would be analyzing the movement of stocks and predicting their movement.

How do you become an investment banker? To be a good investment banker you will need a strong basic understanding of accounting, finance and economics. You will need a razor sharp mind, quick decision making capabilities, capability to work under pressure and for long hours and an appetite for the latest news and information to predict and appraise. Get into a top business school after your graduation and do your MBA. If you are good, then the doors of investment bankers open. Work is exhausting with 80-100 hour weeks and sometimes nights spent back in office but it all works out when you get your pay packet.

With those kinds of salaries you will naturally laugh all the way to the bank!

Is it possible to clear CPT by self-studying?

Yes its very much possible to clear ca cpt by self studying. Infact i had done so myself. I studies on my own and was able to clear it in first attempt. My suggestion to you is as follows:1.Prepare a clear study plan and calendar2.Stick to books provided by CA institute3. Be regular and disciplined in your preparation.4.Pick hard and theoretical subjects first so that you have time to practice them more.5.Practice hard and as much as possible. You can start your preparation by going through the books/study materials and along with that i strongly suggest you to use a good online preparation tool for practice. There are few options available, do your research before finalizing any.In terms of subject-wise strategy, you may follow the following approach:1. Fundamentals of accounting - 60% (Its the highest scoring subject, most important chapters are final ac, company ac. and partnership ac, the weightage of problems and theory is 60:402. mercantile law - 40% (conceptual clarity is most important, so don’t mug up words 35 from 40 mcq's are easy and direct, most imp. chapters are 10 and 11 which comprises 40-60% of total)3. Quantitative aptitude - 50% (maths is similar to 12th focus more on statistics, high focus chapters are differentiation and integration , correlation and regression and theoretical distribution.)4. General Economics - 50% (start with macro and then micro, understand graphs and statistics clearly, read economic times daily.)

Student perspective: For homework whose purpose is to help you understand and remember the lesson: What type of homework do you feel works best or worst for this purpose?

Student perspective: The purpose of homework is to help you understand and remember the lesson. What type of homework do you feel works best or worst for this purpose? The most effective homework for understanding and remembering the lesson was never actually assigned to me; it was something I figured out on my own in high school, and it made college a breeze.Every day after school, I would go home and recopy my notes from that day into a clean notebook (one clean notebook for each class).I would expand on things I wrote shorthand, and I would highlight things I might need later for tests or essays. Green highlight for vocal, yellow for people or dates, orange for theories or formulas, pink for possible future test questions, etc. If there was a corresponding textbook, I would note the relevant page numbers of the text in the margin of my notes. And if there was something I didn’t understand, or I couldn’t read my notes, or I missed something, I would write questions to ask the teacher the next day.If a class was information-heavy, I would also make flashcards for the things I highlighted in my notes. If I knew I’d be asked essay questions on tests, I also pretended I was the teacher: what would the teacher ask about this lesson? Boom, write the possible question and answer on a flashcard. So many people wanted my flashcards come test time!I almost never had to study for a test—I had done my studying every night, and it only took 15 minutes or less per class. I got my questions answered immediately, when the information was fresh in my mind. I had a ready-made study guide for every test, and ready-made answers for essays. It probably takes a certain kind of kid to do this on a regular basis (yes, I was that into school). But it was by far the most effective way I found to understand and remember my lessons.

Any FBLA test aids please?

I don't know if your school does this... but our advisor organizes folders for everyone for all the categories we are competing for. They are like really thick binders that include a LOT of info and practice tests that I never get the chance to look at it all....
but if your school doesn't do that, you can always go on the FBLA website
I don't remember if the official FBLA site actually gives your practice tests... (I mostly just looked at the folder :D ) but I remember I went on the Arizona FBLA site for practice tests...
I think I used this one too
http://fbla.testfrenzy.com/index.php
oh also a lot of the sheets from my binder are just practice from the book we use
(read below for info about book)
and about the book I think they are usually mcgraw hill but I remember that if you go on the fbla site they tell you which books to use or something like that so try to look for that book and workbooks related to that book?
Also there are always books associated with your event. You can always ask your advisor which book to use and go to the textbook room to check it out... for accounting I just use our school textbook cause we have a class from accounting that I also took... or I mean any econ or personal finance book would probably work (we were required to take econ senior year so I am sure you can find a econ book in the textbook room?) remember tho, not to like read every single chapter you dont have time for that... just like look up info that you are not sure of when doing practice tests in the book... also for practice tests, I suggest you just read the question and read the answer I mean do this many times for each question and it will get stuck in your head... also start early! don't wait till last week or worse, last day... if you actually do that, it's not that hard to win... I barely studied for my accounting II test and I still got 2nd at state and I got like a 58% I think (maybe cuz I took the class but seriously, some of those students from other schools don't even study... the test percentages are always super low) some of the other categories you need to get like a 80% to be first but it's still not that high...

goodluck!! put in lots of time into it and I know you can do well :) don't procrastinate!

What would you change in our education system?

If given the opportunity, what would you change about our education system (from the perspective of the children). I am not talking about teacher's salaries or unionization, etc. I would like to know what you think children need more or less of. Or what you think they are missing all together??
