What are some slang terms used among police officers?

The most derogatory terms for the bad guys and citizens who are just pains in the rectum:A.H. = Adam Henry (A-dam H-enry) If you don’t get it…..sometimes you will hear it as “Jack Hole”…..now what starts with an “A” that ends with HOLE ?RICHARD CRANIUM= What starts with a “D” and is a nickname for Richard ? What is the non-medical layman’s term for the Cranium ? Do these clues HEAD you in the right direction ?

Stony Brook University or CUNY Hunter College?

I went to Hunter (Park Avenue) and it has a strong reputation for medical studies and teaching nursing education (BA and MA) for most of the century. Other advantages: you could live at home, have a short commute, a compact campus-definite plus in NE winters- much easier to take an elevator or stairs than trek around a widespread campus, access to the NYC museums, libraries, Central Park during breaks.

Despite my bias towards Hunter, the best suggestion I can offer is to contact the admissions people at the med school you are considering and ask them. I would ask "if you were considering graduates from SB and Hunter, each with a high GPA (I would hope you are aiming for a GPA close to 4) which candidate would have the better chance?"
I would also ask them what other attributes would make a candidate a standout.
( I would think you would hear that they want candidates who have good health and fitness - the study and practice of medicine are grueling tasks, and who are well-rounded ( a person who only has a high GPA would not make it into most med schools).

If the answer you get is not what you want to hear, consider starting your career at Hunter (less expensive than SB- tuition and commuting) and then transferring to Brooklyn or City - they both have excellent track records for pre-med.

Does the edison hotel in New York have a swimming pool?

Royal Caribbean International cruise hidden fees?

Hi! I've cruised with Royal Caribbean several times, and yes, there are some extra charges.

I actually found another similar Yahoo Answer which breaks it down very nicely:

Hopefully that helps! Don't let that list dissuade you from taking a cruise though - Royal Caribbean is top of the line and I've always had an AMAZING time on the cruises. I've been on the cruise to the Caribbean twice - and it is awesome!

How long does it take to walk from Rockefeller Center to Macy's?

If you want an inexpensive lunch at a New York icon, there is Gray's Papaya on sixth Ave at about (th street. $5 will get you two hot dogs and an exotic fruit drink. Dinner Around Rockefeller Center would probably be very expensive. One alternative is to walk about ten minutes west to ninth ave where there are dozens of restaurants of every description much more reasonably priced.

Rockefeller center is about a twenty minute walk to Macy's. simply go west to sixth ave, turn left and follow that street for about 17 blocks and you will be there.

Baruch college student, can I access any Cuny gym?

Y!A is seldom a useful source for specific information of this type. May I respectfully suggest that if you cannot find the answer on the CUNY website, you phone the gyms which you would like to attend and ask them.
