I Need Some Advice On Moving House

Moving out of parents house before marriage...... need advice.?

First of all I'm 27 yrs old, will be 28 in November. I come from an extremely conservative/old-fashioned family. I have 3 older sisters & all of them didn't move out until they got married. The oldest was 33 yrs old when she moved out & got married (I know). That is the family rule- period. I have been with my boyfriend for almost 2 years & will be engaged soon. I am planning on moving out within 2 weeks but have not spoken to my family. This is going to completely break my mom's heart. I am getting married in one year. Does anyone think I should wait it out or just move out?

I'm moving with my boyfriend at 18. Need advice?

i'm currently 17, but im turning 18 in March. I'm moving out either in June or in March. My boyfriend is 20 and already has his own house. I really wanna move in an apartment, while going to college instead of a dorm. But with my lack of money that probably wont happen. He told me that he would move out of his apartment and move in with me to help me pay my bills. It sounds good to me, but alot of people keeps ttellingme that its to early to move in together. Some ask why i just ddon'tlive at home, and i told them because i hate my mothers rules, i wanna be independent. I need some advice. Is 18 to early to mmove-out And is 18 to early to move with my boyfriend?

Advice on moving into an unfinished house?

Uneasy about moving into our unfinished and neglected house!?
me and my partner are currently renting an appartment but have recently inherited a large house from my partners father. the house is in a bit of a mess, while it is livable it has been very neglected over the years and is in need of a total redecoration and new bathroom and kitchen and a couple of minor structural things that need fixing, also the house is so dirty. we have very little money to do any of these things and while we are spending every last penny we have coming in on the house it is still very unfinished. our lease on our appartment is coming to an end in 3 weeks and we have informed the landlord that we are moving out. so in 3 weeks this house will be my permanent home, i am very house proud and like everything to look nice and be cosy. my partner on the other hand is more laid back and reluctant to change the house which i can understand (momories of his father) but he understands that changes have to be made, he is very slow about doing anything to it, he will say "itll get done eventually" and this makes me feel uneasy. i go down there to paint and stuff but we always end up arguing because i will be doing loads of painting and he will just put on the fire and move some stuff around. i really dont want this to break us up or put a strain on our relationship but i really need a cosy place to call my home. what can i do to calm myself down and perpare myself to be living here in 3 weeks?

Cat gone missing after moving house - advice please?

Yes, my little Sonney dashed out of the door one night to chase another cat and she was gone for 1 1/2 months. I did everything to find her, looked under porches, put up signs, walked around the neighborhood calling for her and nothing. I finally went and bought a cat catcher for $35 at Aslin Finch and set it up where no one could accidently trip over it especially children. I didn't catch her but did this feral cat who was skin and bones. He kept getting into the cage cause he was starving. I took the kitty into my house and took care of him Well, I only had him for a few days, was planning on adopting him, when my other kitty, Chewie, woke me up at 3:00 am and I followed her to see why she was so distressed and she led me to my front door. When I opened up the door there was my Sonney, too tired and hungry to get up. I guess all along she would periodically scratch on the door but I didn't hear her. Anyways, I took the feral cat to a no-kill shelter and visited him every day until he got adopted. I would stand there and tell everyone looking for a cat how wonderful he was and what a hard life this young kitty already had.

So, the only thing I can suggest is that he is probably scared and hiding under something during the day and is more active at night. They don't really wander too far so I bet it is just timing your search closer to the evening. I would also try putting a bowl of smelly tuna fish out and see if that might help get him home. I really hope you find him, best of luck.

I am moving house and worried about my cats being near a main road?

they are used to having access to a big garden, they will have a big garden where i move, just a road near bye. i would not feel good about keeping them indoors when they have spent there whole lives with access to the outside.

What tips do you have for moving a fridge to a new house?

Turn the fridge off the day before to get the water out. Wipe it clean.Remove the tray in the bottom to tip the water out in the sink.Get a hand trolley with wheels to lift the fridge onto.Carry it tipped backwards on the trolley and tape the door shut and tape the plug near the door.Get a tarpaulin in case water spills, and put it under the fridge.Try to use leverage if you have a tray to place it on the tarpaulin. (like a see saw pivot the fridge over the edge of the truck tray.Tie it in place so it does not wobble, preferably lying flat on its back. If you have to stand it, stand it upwards with the coils on the back near the truck cab.Drive to new location, then unload onto the hand trolley. Plug it in immediately.

Do you have any advice for packing a house yourself?

Make sure you know where all of your blankets are. Sleeping bags, too. You’ll need them for padding.NEVER pack books by themselves. Always pack books with something lightweight so you’ll be able to carry the box. A box of just books is heavy.I once got pattern tissue from a fabric store that was getting rid of outdated patterns. This stuff is great for packing plates. See if you can get some, but if all else fails, use newspaper.Providing pizza, beer and soda is a great way to pay friends and family who are helping you. Also, make sure to have plenty of cold drinking water.Choose one room to store all of your packed boxes in. If you don’t have room, consider renting a “PODS” or other storage container. The container company should be able to transport your full container to your new home.Have lots of trash bags, packaging tape, tape guns and markers available. These things will find feet of their own and disappear - the fewer you have, the faster they’re lost. If you have extra tape and stuff left over, keep it handy for your new home.Make sure you have enough toilet paper for both your new home and your old one. Paper towels and hand soap, too.Don’t overdo. A back injury that lasts days isn’t worth the extra two hours of carrying heavy stuff around.

I want to Lat move to 03XX infantry advice needed, Thanks?

You can't just lat move because you want to. If they let you then they have to let everyone else, and you know that isn't gonna happen.

You can try to lat move if you re-enlist or are injured and can not do your job. You don't want to be tossed into a infantry battalion as an NCO.

What you should do is try to move to an infantry battalion if you are not there already. That will be as close as you are gonna get to infantry. And because of your rank, you can not go out with the line companies, so you're screwed in that sense. You will be stuck in the ant farm or the coc.
