I'm an Asian guy, and I totally know what you mean about the hair sticking up-- apparently our hair is stronger and thicker and resists flattening down smoothly like white people hair! But that's not to worry; if you grow out the hair on the sides of your head to 3-4 inches, you can use a bit of pomade to keep it down while playing with interesting looks for the rest of your 'do! You can keep some bangs 4-5 inches long in the front of your face. This is versatile because you sweep them to the side, sweep them back (upward), or let them dangle over your forehead. In addition, you can cut the hair on the top of your head to 2-4 inches and play with some pomade/gel. This can contrast the conservative-looking side part of your bangs, for example, with a messy, just-out-of-bed look for the rest of your hair, an interesting juxtaposition that she is sure to notice. To do this, first wet your hair slightly (a shower and slightly drying it with a towel works great, or a spray bottle filled with water), and get some pomade or gel (Crew or the Japanese Gatsby Moving Rubber, for example). The key is to smooth down the sides AFTER you do the top of your head, or else you'll mess up your perfectly-messed-up look! Remember to wash the remaining gunk off your hands!

i have a bit of an issue with my hair. i have dark brown thick hair, thats sadly got a terrrible wave and has a slight frizz problem. its shoulder length with long layers (cos if i get them short they curl) Its the hair my friends admire. and say they wish they had, But i cant do anything with it! its soo thick it takes a good 40mins of major hair drying and then to straighten... another 30mins and reallly i just dont have that TIME to fully look after it. Any ideas to quickly dry and straighten? also i tend to have long layers, but i would love to get shorter layers!!! but when i get this done my hair goes curly.. (as wen its long it weighs it self down)??? also i would love to get fined but i scared it will also go curly? PLEASE HELP? do you know any ways i could make my hair more controllable, any UK products? any styles of hair cuts? and any other ideas?? anything will do.. im fed up with this mop!!!

Since you'd probably want to keep it simple so it doesn't cost too much money, go for the easy stuff first, like bracelets, rings, chains or socks. If you're not into skirts there is still stuff you can do with the jeans yu have. Roll the cuffs up to show your cool boots, or hang stuff from the belt loops. I like the phone bling stuff. They're small and they will clip easily to the loop of the belt material on the jeans. Wear more than one though. Depending on your hair style, there are endless things yu could do. Try bandanas, berets or hair bling, or whatever you think would go with your style of cut. Just remember, there are some styles that never go out of style, and those things are styles that usually have to do with nautical stuff, tennis or sports stuff and equestrian (horse riding ) styles.
