I Need Some Good Advice On Buying An Apple Product.

Really need some advice about buying Apple computers. Which option (in description) and model is best?

If you want to be mobile get the MacBook Pro Retina, the newest one you can afford. Get the most amount of RAM you can as well. If you're okay with not being mobile you will get more power and more longevity out of a desktop. Normally I would say get an iMac but the ones you have listed are already going to be 3+ years old so won't have the longevity you're looking for. Your best bet in your case is to get a 2014 Macbook Pro with Retina Display for longevity. As a side note, when you buy a Mac you are getting a lower cost of ownership. As your own numbers show, they hold their resale value very very well. When looking at the cost of the computer you take initial price minus resale cost divided by time owned equals cost of ownership. For example, if I buy a Mac for $1200, keep it for 3 years, and sell it for $600, my cost of ownership is $16.66 a month. Macs tend to have similar to lower cost of ownership to competitors. The fact that you are looking at $1200 to buy a 4 year old iMac shows you this principle in action.

Why did you stop buying Apple products?

I haven’t stopped buying them, but I’ve certainly curtailed my purchases. I’m totally happy with my 6s iPhone. I’ve seen the new X models, and like them, but they’re quite expensive. When I spent $600 on this phone, I thought that was about as expensive as I’d ever be comfortable paying for a phone. I still cannot wrap my head around the necessity of an $1k electronic device that’s so very portable. It’s just too easy to break or lose.Apple has basically ignored its computers so for now, I’m happy using my iMac. The ports on the newest MacBook Pro still make no sense to me. Why would I need to give up one of them for charging, when they had a wonderful MagSafe connector that kept my old MBP safe more times than I can recall? Sure, there’s a dongle, but a Pro machine isn’t supposed to -need- dongles. Dongles are for cheap computers, not $4k ones. The new Mac Mini is reasonably compelling, except there’s no option for a built in graphics accelerator. You’re stuck with Intel’s garbage on-chip scheme, and it’s expensive at $800. If it had a Radeon 560, $800 would be fine, but it’s not worth a dollar over $700 otherwise. Even for the Apple premium, the Mini is just too expensive.I’ve nearly purchased an Apple Watch about 100 times. To me, their value proposition is really good, especially the cellular versions. I think if it had a camera, I wouldn’t be able to resist it anymore. Fortunately, they haven’t given it one so for now, I’ve been able to avoid it. Folks really get into closing their rings though, and having a watch sized device on my wrist that is connected to the Internet seems about as space age as anything ever imagined. It would be 100% Dick Tracey compatible if it had a camera. So yeah, for me, I haven’t stopped buying Apple stuff. I’ve just watched the pricing sort of go out of reasonableness. I won’t spend more than $600 on a phone, like I don’t feel comfortable spending more than $50k on a car that I share the road with $1k junkers without insurance. It’s a prudence thing. I -know- how much the components cost at retail that go into a Mac Mini, and even with the better software and OS, Apple’s pricing is out of line. Again, prudence says no.

Is it safe to buy Apple products from Flipkart in terms of warranty and after sales service?

It is completely safe to buy Apple or any other brand’s products from Flipkart and as well as from Amazon. However you should avoid other websites.Don’t worry about the warranty and after sales service. You will get the warranty and service when needed.Infact,Flipkart & Amazon are registered Sellers of Apple.Further every Apple product needs online activation, which also informs about the expiry of the warranty period and therefore you will automatically come to know whether you are entitled for warranty or not.In a very very rare case (possible only if you don’t take below mentioned precautions) if somehow you can’t activate your product online. Then Amazon & Flipkart will either give you full refund or replace your product. That being said,There is a small precaution you need to take care of.Which is to buy from a trusted seller of Flipkart/Amazon, I am providing a list of recommended trusted sellers on both Amazon & Flipkart, you can buy anything from them without hesitation. One should prefer these sellers even if their prices are slightly more than other sellers (very rare scenario). Here are the sellers :-Flipkart Recommended Sellers :-Flipkart Recommended SellersAmazon Recommended Sellers :-Amazon Recommended SellersPlease upvote, If I could help :)

Why do I have the compulsive habit to buy all of Apple's products?

Apple stores have a familial vibe that makes a person feel like they're amongst others who are like them, on purpose. There actually are reasons to buy incremental upgrades as the 6 versus 6S, there are significant processor differences, the flexing was addressed, and I think the S model has a better battery, among other differences. The Retina screens are much more than incremental though, especially if one is doing pro level work. Retina is much closer to true color, it's brightness has improved and it consumes less power, so your battery lasts longer. If your business depends on productivity, there are always justifications for incremental upgrades. You may be caught up in the sense of belonging to something bigger, however. That is marketing, and it can definitely cause you to spend money you don't need to. It's the same as a PC person obsessing over the latest chip socket or memory access lane though. There are sub-cultures that appeal to all sorts of different personalities. Unless ypu’ve developed an unhealthy compulsion to spend money you don’t have, then it's really nothing to worry about at all. Hang out at the Apple store, bang on the keyboards, look at all of the colored phone cases. They made those stores just for you and others, to enjoy. It's a community, and Apple gives away a lot of training for free, in addition to some pretty killer bandwidth. You're probably just fine.

Buying macbook pro on ebay?

U should never buy anything on ebay b/c the other person scams u. U don't know what that other person can do. I had a teacher buy something off of ebay about 3 years ago and they scamed her into buying in, and she lost profit off of it. She also money for it too. SO DON'T BUY ANYTHING OFF OF EBAY.
