Ultrasound in 2 hrs HELP! I need some info :o?

Please take it from someone who knows. I have been through this twice and also had one recently in the beginning of May. Drink water not juice or soda. Juice and soda is just sugar and will go through your body but will do nothing for the bladder


It varies but as long as you drink 16-24 oz you will be fine

I had an appoitment in May and it was at 9:00am. I was told to start drinking at 7:00am and be done by 8:00am. It is very uncomfortable but it guarantees a good picture. If you do not drink enough they cannot get a good picture and will even reschedule. The body needs a chance to work the water thru so you do not want to wait until the last minute to do it

Make sure you stop 1 hr before your appt and make sure you do not take longer then 1hr to drink it

You will not have to hold it the whole time. They will do most of the technical stuff and then let you go to bathroom

For someone your age, the best plan would be to just invite him over to your house to visit--and (this part is very important) it needs to be at a time when your parents will be home to keep him from getting any ideas. Rent a movie or something.

You don't have to do this any special way; just invite him. This is far more meaningful than the middle school "boyfriend/girlfriend" game a lot of kids play.

But do check with your parents first, because they may want to make some rules about it. Most parents would be fine with this, and would appreciate you wanting to do something at home where they can supervise.

Bottom line is this - anatomically your aren't ready to give birth. Your pelvis is still in three pieces, these pieces should be fused before you have a child. They won't fuse until you are 18 at the earliest. If you try to have a baby now you have a good chance you will do damage to your reproductive organs and that may effect your future fertility or that you may die. And you have a pacemaker? Water retention during pregnancy may strain your heart and pericardium, you need to go to a high-risk ob and see what they say. Your ob/gyn may just suggest a termination for health reasons. Yeah, not what you wanted to hear I know. But I think especially because of your youth and heart condition you should be considering a termiantion.
