I need suggestions for a solo song.?
-I am singing a solo for a spring concert, and I need some help choosing a song. I am I Tenor, but I don't want a song that is too high for a 16 year old. Something young and hip but shows vocal quality. Maybe a song from a Broadway Musical? Any suggestions?

You should try to avoid overdone musicals (Wicked, Sound of Music, West Side Story), and always try to stick to a musical theatre piece. Here's some: Let Me Entertain You- Gypsy The Life of the Party (belting)- The Wild Party My Strongest Suit- Aida I Know the Truth- Aida Don't Rain on my Parade (a little belt needed)- Funny Girl Also, if you are going to have a piano accompanist, try to stay away from composers with hard music to play (Stephen Sondheim, Jason Robert Brown) because it could mess up your audition. I'm looking for some sad song suggestions. The thing is, when I search online it just lists a bunch of songs to boost your mood when you're sad. I don't want a mood booster. I want to wallow in the sadness. That might sound weirs, but I just want some heart wrenching songs to listen to for when I'm feeling depressed or empty that I feel like I can relate to, not that will attempt to make me feel better.
