Over 50 DIFFERENT countries with requirements that’d make Trump seem like a reasonable dude, and sometimes absurd requirements that’ll leave your jaws ajar.Einstein said the only things that’re infinite are the Universe and Human Stupidity, and he’s not sure about the Universe. African Countries are probably what he had in mind. You need to be more specific about what type of business you want to start, the country, and the partners you wish to start it with.The best piece I’d like to leave you with is if you’re not fully resident, DON’T partner with a resident African! There may be exceptions, but the bulk will see you as a cash cow to be milked with doctored Financial Statements and false assurances and there’s jack shit you can do about it.

I have been staying in Gujarat for the last 8 months. Believe me or not, there is money in the air of Gujarat.There are several reasons for that. There are some of my observations:Quick paymentNo one holds your money in Gujarat. If you are providing a service, you get paid quickly. You don’t have to fight for it.Simple people, less politicsGujaratis have a simple life style. They are friendly and approachable. They talk to outsiders with a smile. People love to do business with friendly, trustworthy people.Community feelingGujaratis help each other starting a new business.They adopt technology quicklyHere in Gujarat, even a village Chai wala accepts payments through PayTM these days.ScalabilityThey are master at scaling a business. They can multiply their earnings in a short period of time.FamilyThe whole family do business together. Father, mother, son, daughter, everyone gives their 100% to grow the family business. It saves a lot of money.Alcohol is banned, almost no eve teasing, friendly atmosphere, less fightsThe values of Gujarati society are high. That’s why Gujarat is blessed.Where ever you go, people talk about millions and billions, saving money, business ideas. And they do it in an enjoyable manner. You don’t get tired of listening that.Gujaratis believe in simple, honest living and high thinking.
Would an independent Scotland be a major power?
I don’t think we would want to be. That doesn’t mean being isolationist.We would expand our existing relationships with other countries, especially Malawi. focusing on our distinctive strengths and history in Education (not least medical education), Health and now also renewable energy and food & drink.Foreign aid in cash would virtually cease and be replaced by more proactive involvement. It is easy to see that we can help Malawi in agriculture, but what can we learn from Africa or the Nordic countries about rural development issues? We can build on historical relationships with Canada sharing knowledge in Agriculture and energy.Last year Scotland introduced the Finnish baby box, a 1938 innovation which had proved its worth by the 1950’s, and (as I was told around 1962) midwives expected that it would not be long before it was introduced in UK.A bit more than half a century isn’t along time for the UK government to follow up a good idea which doesn’t come from America, but devolved Scotland looks to other small European countries for inspiration. r-UK (aka England) only wants to play with the big boys.It isn’t a “benefit”. A benefit is bestowed by a Bishop or aristocratic landowner as a grace and favour gift to the poor for being compliant. Right wing fundamentalists will see it as an unnecessary and undeserved handout. Mean spirited Scottish Labour managed to find whataboutery to oppose it in furtherance of their overarching policy: the Bain Principle.Labour needs to scrap the Bain Principle as part of its rebuilding strategyThe Finnish Baby Box is a Systems Thinking initiative to promote best practice in ante-natal health, childcare (breastfeeding and information) and environmentalism (old fashioned nappies).
