I Need Something To Call A Group Of People In A Book That Have

I need a name for a group of magicians in my book?

The form of magic in my book allows the magicians to take control of people mentally and emotionally. I haven't quite worked out the kinks yet but their whole deal is that they are able to control a person's "soul," or what makes them human, the very essence of humanity. In doing so, they take away that person's humanity (permanently in long-term manipulation - the soul atrophies).

There are very few actual magic users in this book, so for the time being I've been referring to people as either "users" or "non-users" which is kind of lame. I've been searching around for something in latin but I don't know the language and so don't know how to form a complex thought such as "soul manipulator" or something similar. I want something with a bit of meaning behind it but not as blatant as "Soul manipulator" as it isn't revealed until later what they are capable of. Also, they're antagonists in this story so a more... antagonistic name would be preferable :)

Do you guys have any ideas? This has been stumping me for a few days now so anything you could suggest will help.

Thanks :)

(this is a repost, but I'm just looking for a few different suggestions. Sorry about that)

What is a group of Zombies called?

Zombies = Zombies

The term for a group of zombies could be as flexible as the term for a group of humans.

I actually see nothing wrong with calling a group of zombies "A group of zombies."

What is a thing where you can travel with a group of strangers called?

Yes!!!There are many communities that can help you find such a group, a lot of solo and couple travelers will group up to reduce costs/ meet new people / safety etc.Lonelyplanet.com would be one of the best places to start.Couchsurfing.com is another place to find like minded peopleTravelbuddy.com is generally used by the 18-25 crowd of young people looking for 1-5 travel companions. There are travel agencies that book groups for you as well, though these tend to be a tad more expensive and less flexible, like Green Tortise & Gadventures. Then of course you could place personal adds in travel blogs, Craigslist,  papers, etc. Or set up a Facebook page. < not a bad idea.

What is multiple comics in one book called?

These are called TPBs (Trade Paper Backs). These generally collect a few issues of a comic book that comprise a story arch for that book. The Deadpool Killustrated TPB reprints all the issues from the miniseries of the same name. Graphic Novels (GNs) are generally stand-alone stories that were NOT published as individual issues, or archs. An example of this would be Spider-man: Hooky. This is a singular story, only presented in this book, not in any of the different Spider-Man series'. An Omnibus would, generally, collect a single, or multiple years of a comic book series, or the entire series. Marvel makes the Essentials series, which are multiple year anthologies of a single comic series, but are printed in black-and white. They also make the Masterworks series, which are hard-bound and printed in color on glossy paper. Here are some links to illustrate-

What is a group of elves called?

One is an Elf. The whole are the Elvene or Elf-Quene

The above is not miss spelled, but the archaic spelling of specific words.

Edit: I just checked another book. The name used for a gather of Elves is a "Troupe." This is the same wording as used for Faeries.

The Dictionary of Archaic and Provincial Words -- Halliwell

A group of Elves is also called a DROVE

What do you call a group of 4?

Quad, or quartet. They are different, but mean the same thing. Don't combine them into quadret. Not a word.

Why is a group of crows called a murder?

This is a great question. In the Late Middle Ages (1486), was published The Book of Saint Albans (or Boke of Seynt Albans), a compilation of matters relating to the interests of the time of a gentleman. It is also known by titles that are more accurate, such as "The Book of Hawking, Hunting, and Blasing of Arms".The book contains, appended, a large list of special collective nouns for animals, "company terms" also known as the terms of venery (venery being an archaic word for hunting), such as "gaggle of geese" and the like. Amongst these are numerous humorous collective nouns for different professions, such as a "diligence of messengers", a "melody of harpers", a "blast of hunters", "a subtlety of sergeants", "a gaggle of women", and a "superfluity of nuns". The tradition of a large number of such collective nouns which has survived into modern Standard English ultimately goes back to this book : a crash of rhinos, a mischief of mice, and a puddling of ducks and of course a murder of crows. There are several different explanations for the origin of this term, mostly based on old folk tales and superstitions :For instance, there is a folktale that crows will gather and decide the capital fate of another crow. Many view the appearance of crows as an omen of death because ravens and crows are scavengers and are generally associated with dead bodies, battlefields, and cemeteries, and they’re thought to circle in large numbers above sites where animals or people are expected to soon die.But the term “murder of crows” mostly reflects a time when groupings of many animals had colorful and poetic names. If you have interest in this subject, James Lipton's An Exaltation of Larks is a great reference read, or you can look at this exhaustive page of collective nouns for animals.

How can I get a group discount for booking domestic flight tickets in India?

If the number of persons exceed 10, the best solution is to contact the respective customer care service and ask for a quotation. No other 3rd party site or vendor can offer such offers. It is because all the economy seats are not of same price. Airlines generally categorize them in to many categories like Q,W,V,S (these categories I traveled ) and some other like P,R etc. The cheapest category being the W category. There is no difference in the seating. The only difference is the the price. The number of seats in particular category are fixed. They may be changed by the airlines in gew situations. Consider that there is a group of 10 and 8 seats of W category are available, then its most probable that the airlines will convert the other 2 seats into W category and hence total price decreases. In addition you will also be offered extra discount(If you book long in advance). So next time if any 3rd party vendor or site says that they can give huge discounts then they are just fooling you. Contact the customer care of the respective airlines. In my point of view , for India, Indigo Airlines is the best option for group bookings (Remember to book tickets 3–4 months in advance).
