Do you need a special camera to shoot 360" videos?

So far there’s been 2 answers to this question: 1 Yes and 1 No. And they are both right! However, although it’s possible with a complex setup to use a “normal” camera, the truth is that it’s way easier to use a special camera to shoot 360 videos. For consumers, I’d recommend picking one of the popular options. The good news is that the technology has reached a point when it’s become quite affordable and accessible to almost anyone! Consumer-grade 360 cams start at around $100.Here are a few suggestions (non exhaustive list of popular entry-level cameras):LG360 Cam (http://amzn.to/2i5qX6d),Samsung Gear 360 (http://amzn.to/2hNz6Z9),Ricoh Theta S (http://amzn.to/2ix6gjC),Giroptic 360cam (https://www.giroptic.com/us/en/3...)For more info, I suggest you check out my video:I hope this helps! Camcorder suggestions for filming skateboarding?

Toshiba Camileo H30 Full HD Camcorder - Silver/Black is a full hd camcorder with a 5x optical zoom for $180 so be too critical on it would not be fair! it is better than the standard def jvc everio i just got rid of. it strong point that it take 10 megapixel still photos that look quite good, if you can hold the camera completely still! if not they get blurry quickly. and one thing i do not understand is that if i take hd video and put it on my computer it looks really good,

Any digital video cameras recommended? not tape video cameras..?

I don't know much about Digital video cameras but I bought a Canon Elura 85 (about $600.00) because it has a cold shoe for a video light ( I have a optex cordless video light for Christmas concerts and the like at school where there is very low light - works well) and it also has a jack for a micro phone. The mike comes in very handy when kids are talking since a lot of kids become "camera shy" and the built in mike doesn't pick up the sound as well. This would work well at a wedding where guest record their congratulations and there is a lot of background noise. I looked at a lot of cameras but most did not have the cold shoe or the mike port. You may not need it but I've used my camera at the school and am very glad my camera had these features.
