Why do women get the house, kids, car, and money to live on after a divorce?
Women do tend to be good at pretending they care, push come to shove they care about equal rights mostly for what extra they can get out of them. They have selfish attributes and because they have the nurturing hormones men tend to conceded that they get the biggest slice of the family cake. The legal system enjoys the law, making the man pay maintenance and pay again to hire a lawyer if his family rights have been abused by a selfish woman, who often has a new partner and is getting new money from him. I doubt if the system will change much as most men suck up to women so much it really does make us look like prize pricks. So if a man does try to stand up to a woman often he is accused of abusing her. Lastly I do feel sorry for a women if she has genuinely been abused. Everyone should feel safe in their own home. The law should protect her and society should help the man understand why he is an ********.
Can someone just throw you out of the house?
Sorry, I missed how long you have lived together / if the house is in her name... definately call an attorney listed as "free consultation" in the phone book. In my circumstance, once my things were in the house, the other person couldn't throw me out without giving me 30 days written notice, then go to court and file a petition for eviction which usually gives you another 30 days. If the attorney agrees, an idea is to wait until she leaves and move back in... though if you've been gone a while it may be more difficult. Naked in hot tub? Womens' opinions needed?
My husband and I just got a giant hot tub and never wear suits. My friends (3 single girls and 1 couple) want to come over and check it out. I dont care if they wear suits or not. But isnt it ok if we still go without? I mean it is at our home, and we are all adults and we don't go parading around naked. We wear towels. We just drop them and then get in. And getting out is the same. Get out and then cover up with a towel. My husband is worried that they will mind. So before they get here and I bring it up I told him I would get some women's opinions. So ladies, would seeing your friend's husband naked for a second or two before and after a hot tub session bother you? Considering the rest of the time he will be covered.
Why do men get kicked out of the home or have to sleep on the couch during spousal arguments?
respect for the female. she's the one who maintains the home & the children. besides, he's probably sleeping on the couch because he was caught with someone like me, and she knows better than let him on the street back to me, right?
Is it wrong for a woman to go out of the house after 8pm?
Yes. In fact women cannot go out of the house at all!...Of course not.It isn’t wrong for women to go outside, it isn’t wrong to stay outside until late at night. I understand that there may be safety concerns, but it’s not wrong at all. You should be able to stay up outside no matter your gender.Unless you possess a backward male-dominated mindset that believes women should not have the same curfew as men. Well guess what you’re wrong.
Do I save for a house or get out now and rent an apartment?
Im a single woman, everyone tells me its such a good time to buy a house. I only have 11k in savings so I would need more and figure Id be ready to buy a house in like 20-24 months as I save 1500 a month. But I am 23, not sure if I can stay home that long, I need my own adult life. If I rent an apartment on my own, I would only be able to save like 700 a month as opposed to 1500. Plus I am a woman, do single women even buy homes alone? I want to get married someday, don't most people make that purchase together? What do you think? I have no debt, 740 to 768 credit scores, I take home 3000 a month, and I could get a very nice condo or a decent house for 120k. I would have 47k saved up in 2 yrs and would probably like to use 25k as a down payment. Is 2 years even too far away, will homes go up a lot in this timetime? Sorry so many questions
A friend of mine is under house arrest by her father because she refuses to stay in an unhappy marriage and is asking for divorce. What can be done to help her?
It seems highly strange that the father is doing this to her even after knowing that her life is in danger if she stays in her marriage!She probably should immediately contact the some women activists or NGOs or media. Risk: Contacting police seems out of the question as her father would have taken care of the police. So need to get some contacts of influential people out of that.. Also, in Delhi, there is a toll free number for women who are being harrassed, if I'm not wrong. If she is in Delhi, Why not try to reach that?She needs to shout out loud to every possible person who might help. But she also needs to analyse and be sure that the people who seem to help her are genuine and are really on her side. If she needs to get out of house arrest to be able to contact, ask her to pretend like she gives in and agrees to stay in the marriage. Once she's out of it, she needs to be quick in shouting out loud. But this might be risky as her in laws could take her into some house arrest sorts. She would know best if doing this is safe.Moreover since you are in a better position to contact ppl, (since she is in a house arrest) you could continually try and reach out to different people. Talk to ppl from ngo's and feminists whom you can reach. They probably will be able to give better solutions.
