When you preorder a game from GameStop, what do you all need when you go into pick it up?
Your ID, a smile, and the rest of the money you put down on it!The ID is to simply match that the person that Pre-Ordered it is the same person that is picking it up. You wouldn’t believe how often someone would try to come in to “Grab a buddies” game.Sure, it’s not unheard of for someone to send their friend in to grab their game. But, at the end of the day, GameStop’s job is to protect the PowerUp Rewards member. Whatever name was used for the Pre-Order, is the ID I would need to see before release.As a Caveat, you can leave a note with the Pre-Order specifically designating an individual that is allowed to grab a game for you (happens with parents a lot) but if that’s not in there, it’s not leaving the store.Make sure it is the correct game for the correct system and your pre-order bonus prints on the receipt!
How does the GameStop points system work?
Simple. It's ten points to the dollar for every dollar you spend on new product. Twenty points to the dollar for pre-owned product. If you have the pro card as opposed to basic those point values are doubled. The rewards system is based on a one thousand points = one dollar.
How do Gamestop midnight releases work?
Normally Gamestop will call you a day or 2 before the release and let you know that there will be a midnight release. You have 2 options.1. You can show up at 11ish-11:30 and stand at the back of the line till the store opens (they will usually lock the doors and ask everyone to start lining up). And then they will let people in a few at a time to pick up their reserved copies. (If you come early they will normally ask you to pay off the game before you get in line). Wait your turn go inside pick up your copy and leave.2. Show up at either 6 pm or 9 pm (call ahead to ask) and arrive about 30 minutes before that and wait till the time and pay off your copy and get a group number. "Golden Ticket" they often call them. This will determine your place in line at midnight. Try to get in group 1, that way when you come back at 1130 or 1145 you can just skip the whole line that's formed and walk up to group 1 in the front of the line. (otherwise go to wherever your group is) and wait for them to call your group and go get your copy. Go home, install the game and say "screw work, school, family" and play all night.
Guys, how do you feel about a girl working at Gamestop?
I'm 20 and girl, out of college for the summer and single. I need a job and I want to find someone to spend the summer with, so I was thinking about applying to Gamestop and getting a job there. Since they have a lot of men as customers (and the employees), this could be the perfect thing for me. But, since I only see guys working at Gamestop, I feel like I'd be annoying all the male clientele and what not with my presence haha. What do you think?
Do ebgames gift cards work at gamestop????????
The companies merged, so it should still work. The only problem you will probably have is either the card being empty or non-usable now because its so old, they haven't made ebgames cards for awhile now. Check the back of the card and read to see when the funds on the card start depleting, it usually declines about $1 a month after 12 months.
Will GameStop help you see if a PS4 works in a craigslist deal?
I want to buy a PS4 but I want to make sure it works that's kind of a problem if you don't really want to go into somebody's house to see if it works so I was wondering if you could make the transaction in GameStop where they could also hook up the console to see if it works.
