I Need To Make Some Money By The End Of The Year Any Suggestions On What I Can Do

How do I make money as a 16-year-old Indian?

I think i understand your point of view.. I'm surprised to read other responses here which are advising you study or thinking that only poor tries such thing.I think trying to earn money in this age helps one to understand value of it.In US teenagers earn their own money and no job is looked down there.I also wanted to do some thing when I was in college but that was almost a decade back and plus my college was in remote village where there were not much opportunities outside campus.Things have changed now and you seem to have metro advantage. so here are some suggestions.Knowledge based jobs:1. If you are good in studies and communication, you can take tuition 2. If you are passionate about something, cooking/sports/mobile/electronics/art/story telling, you can create its online content, either in form of blogs or youtube videos. Enable google adsense and earn money.3. Create some mobile app of some utility with ads enabled it which will give you income.Labour based job:Your command over english language can give you some advantage here:1. If you are ok with commute, you can work as delivery boy for restaurant2. You can work as part time waiter in restaurants either in morning /evening shift. 3. You can become news paper distributer4. you can give weekend house cleaning service. you can post ad about this on quickr/olxThese are only few suggestions. use your imagination... look around for whats needed and look at urself for what you can offer.Good luck with your stint.

I'm running out of food and money, any suggestions?

here is the situation: (question at the bottom)

i'm nearing the end of my first year of university ( i'll be done in 2 weeks) and i'm already out of money and i'm running out of food. i hate asking my parents for money, because money is tight for them as well putting two kids through university. what the **** should i do? i eat healthily, and i am really trying not to eat a lot of carbs (pasta, bread etc..) to slim out a bit for summer, as i've gained a lot of muscle, and a bit of fat this year bulking up. it's very unfortunate though that pasta is just so cheap compared to other things. i have some room left on my credit card, but i've already racked up a credit card bill that's 100 bucks more than i have in my bank account.

once summer comes around i'll be able to work and make some money. however, on may 1st i'll owe my first rent cheque for 430 bucks for my house next year. when i asked my dad about how we are going to pay this he simply said "yeah i don't know what we'll do".

SO what i need are any ways to save money, or eat for free, or make money as a student!!! thanks a ton.

also, i don't want responses that just tell me i should have managed my money better or something like that. i never had any money to begin with lol, the only thing i've bought this year really is 2 pairs of sweatpants, food and beer.

I'm 13 and i need 650-700 dollars fast by the end of the summer?

1. Mow lawns. If people use a lawn service, charge less than they do.

2. Clean gutters. You will need a power washer and a little experience. Power washes are powerful, hence the name, and you can break a window if you're not careful. But it pays well.

3. Have a garage sale. People will buy the most useless junk lying in your basement. A lot of people like old vases and furniture. They'll pay you for stuff that you would just throw out.

4. Go to a driving range- golfers practice hitting golf balls. Collect all the golf balls you find. The driving range sells the balls in buckets for the golfers. Sell them to people for a lower price. I made money like this, and there are tons of balls just lying around.

5. Ask around at stores if you could get a job there. Or you can ask if they need an extra hand for the day.

6. Fix bikes. A lot of kids don't know how, so the bike ends up sitting in their garage for months. I'm sure you've been there. Learning your way around a bike is pretty easy. You just need to look around the bike, and see how things work. Get some wrenches, screwdrivers and allen keys. Learn how to fix popped tires- this is very simple, and you just need some rubber and crazy glue.

Making money? (odds and ends jobs)?

You can do small online jobs such as site review, sign up,paid to click, etc. You can also promote ur refferal link of these sites and earn a lot of money. You can earn around 30/40$ dollars a month.I prefer you to invest the earned money and earn more.My blog may help you

How much money does someone typically have to make in order to owe money back during filing taxes?

How much does someone have to make to owe taxes? Someone told me if a individual makes less than 100k a year they wouldn’t end up oweing. Also how much money can someone get back on their tax refund? Is it possible for someone to get $40k back on their tax refund.

What is the best way to save money every month from my salary?

My Suggestion:1. Before going to saving your money, keep an emergency fund which is equal to 6 months of your net monthly salary. Keep this amount in a Liquid fund or in a FD. Do not touch this money until you face an emergency situation.2. Take a term policy for the sum which is equal to 8 - 10 times of your annual Gross salary. Do not take any endowment or money back insurance policies. 3. Take Health insurance policy for you and your dependents. Even though your Employer providing Group Health Insurance policy, I advise to take one more Health Insurance policy for 3 Lakhs. Take riders for Personal Accident / Critical Illness.4. Now, you think about your savings. Assume that you are saving Rs. 10,000 per month and you are saving entire this Rs. 10,000 in Bank FD.From now-on-wards, don't put any more in Bank FD. Divide your savings into 4 parts (Rs.2,500 each). Put Rs. 2500 into PPF, and the remaining 3 parts, put each part in Mirae Asset India Opportunities Fund, HDFC Balanced fund and Franklin India Smaller Companies fund. Invest this way at least for 5 years to see good amount of corpus.

Where and how do you invest your monthly salary?

Hi All,Awasum answers across from many intellectuals. Thank you for that.My answer’s context is India. Here is my answer and I KIS (keep it simple). Here is some back ground, a married with one 9 year old and staying with my parents. House is paid off and no loans.Age: 36Working Experience- 13 yearsQualification- M.TechI generally do not believe in loans until recent. one of my adviser told me to take home loan and use that money for buying another property as it will give me money at effective rate of 7 % after deducting Tax benefits.I have bought a real estate property again in tier 1 metro city (1.1 Cr.) which is on rent. No loans and fully paid off property.Pointers-I do not buy new phones, all my and wife’s cell phones are used one, I take utmost care while getting a used one, mostly from online portals. I straight away save 30% as I find some phones which are used for just 2- 3 months and available at very cheap rates, I bought a VIVO NEX almost new at 28KWe live frugal, lower middle class life style. Not much fancy and sometime boringMe and wife both believe in simple living and high thinking, we invest in books, holidays, great and quality food and experiencesWe invest in health and things which adds value to life and not lifestyle, we have joined a gym which is nearby but the cheapest in our area. Primary reason is, if the gym is far after a while it will be boring to go everyday. I have never missed 4 days gym in past 5 yearsMy son goes to international board, again nearby my home so no bus expenses, wife goes to drop and pick himSon goes to extra curricular activities everyday- learning chess, guitar, grammars and spoken English etc.No expenses for parents, they take care of them selvesNo liabilities, no loans~70% income goes in savingsPeople say I am miser, I believe them :-)Wife earns 60K a year, she does not invest, she mostly spends in charity, miscellaneous expensesI drive a Honda 2012 model, one of my bike is 12 year old and other one is 1 year oldI use bike going to office, I read some where that “If you are going alone in a car everyday to your workplace, do not consider your self educated”Suggestions are always welcome.Thank you!Edit1: thank you Venkatesh for the suggested edit
