Freshman year (high school) clothing advice?

I don't know what styles are popular at your school, but if its anything like mine, do NOT buy lots of Abercrombie/Hollister type clothes. Or Aeropostale, cause they're little kid-ish and you'll grow out of the style. American Eagle is sometimes good; they have pretty decent jeans and usually some cool tops. If I was you I'd go to H&M and get some basic things like tank tops, t shirts, and sweaters there because its pretty cheap. Then Id go to places like Forever 21, AE and maybe Aerie and get some more interesting things like jackets and cool sweaters for layering on top of tanks and stuff. Forever 21 has lots of variety and different textures and stuff. It can be kind of hard to sort through everything but they have a million styles so you'll find something. Levis is obviously good for jeans as is AE. Sometimes GAP too. I like to get a lot of different styles of pants, like I have some brown skinny cords from Levis that have gone with lotsof different outfits! And then I also have the typical blue jeans, some white and a pair of gray. A good mix of colors and cuts like bootcut/skinny is good. ALSO get a pair of black leggings and a long pullover sweater (maybe red, tan, etc) to wear with your boots. I love that look because you can choose any type of sweater or boots to make it look edgy or preppy or really girly- anything works!
Im not familiar with any of those Canadian stores so I can't really help you there but you could look for the same kinds of things I mentioned at those stores too

My dog won't let me cut his nails? Ideas?

Time & patience is going to be the best bet here. Unfortunately, that doesn't get the overgrown nails trimmed now. I know it's a financial stretch, but find the money & have the vet do them, this time. Then start from square one.Start handling his paws- so that he becomes comfortable with it. Then move on to paw tricks-like give me 5,shake a paw, etc. Then bring out the clippers, don't use them just let him see them. Then move on to taking the the clippers & his paw & touching the clippers to his nails. Start slow- maybe one nail, then 2.Once he's comfortable with that then clip 1 nail & stop. Move on to clipping 2 nails at a time.It will take you awhile to do all of the nails, but they will get done. Eventually, you will move up to the entire paw, then 2 paws & finally all four. Remember to praise all good calm behaviour or if he's food motivated, use treats. One trick that worked with my dog was to have him lay down on his side, to trim his nails. We had him well used to handling his paws(we even could put boots on him.),but still had issues with nail trimming until we quite by accident found laying him down on his side worked well.Don't rush the nail trimming, it still takes us almost an 1/2 an hour to trim our guy's nail, even with him laying down. But having a 70 lb pit bull not go nuts & harming himself or us is worth that 1/2 hour.

What are the disadvantages of flat feet?

The difference between flat feet and regular feet is the complete absence of a mid-curve or arch. This makes the feet appear completely flat with no space in the middle of the foot. This means your feet end up flattening on to the ground while you walk or stand, which can make you vulnerable to a number of foot conditions. For instance, the plantar fascia ligament in each foot stretches beyond its normal capacity, making it inflamed and causing plantar fasciitis.Bunions are also associated with fallen arches; the uneven distribution of weight in the feet causes more weight to shift towards the big toe joint. In order to treat any of these conditions, it is necessary to treat the root cause of the issue first – flat arches. You could practice arch strengthening exercises such as towel scrunches to build strength in fallen arches. This involves placing a towel under one foot and grabbing it by the toes until you reach the edge. You can do this for at least five minutes for each foot.Another way to enhance the strength of fallen arches is to invest in a pair of MASS4D® foot orthotics that are designed for the structure of your feet. These orthotics help to support the feet in a manner that encourages proper foot movement and prevents the arch from collapsing further. This helps in minimising the pain associated with plantar fasciitis as the injured ligament is given enough time to heal and recover. In the case of bunions, the orthotics promote a balanced distribution of weight to keep any excess weight off the affected big toe joint.Read more about the use of MASS4D® in the treatment of flat feet here.

Why did Aragorn always look dirty and scruffy when Boromir, Legolas, even Gimli looked clean and neat?

Tolkien describes him that way:Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him…So he's muddy and his clothes are stained and worn. He's a Ranger, and spends most of his life sleeping rough.‘A hunted man sometimes wearies of distrust and longs for friendship. But there, I believe my looks are against me.’‘They are –at first sight at any rate,’ laughed Pippin with sudden relief after reading Gandalf’s letter. ‘But handsome is as handsome does, as we say in the Shire; and I daresay we shall all look much the same after lying for days in hedges and ditches.’‘It would take more than a few days, or weeks, or years, of wandering in the Wild to make you look like Strider,’ he answered. ‘And you would die first, unless you are made of sterner stuff than you look to be.’Boromir was the son of the Steward of Gondor, and his clothes were rich and fine, although still travel-stained. Legolas and Gimli hadn't come nearly so far. Legolas was the son of King Thranduil, so you would expect his clothes to be well-made too.Aragorn was 87 years old at the time of the quest, and had spent most of it tramping all over Middle-Earth and fighting under a false name for the armies of Gondor and Rohan. He was naturally a bit rough-looking.
