I Need To Write An Introduction On My Jamaican National Symbols

I need help writing a fantastic introduction paragraph about the u.s constitution.?

Have you read the Constitution yet?

I doubt it. Read it first.

Who wrote the national anthem of jamaica?

The words were written by Hugh Sherlock and the music was composed by Robert Lightbourne and arranged by Mapletoft Poulle. I got this on a test when I was in high school and I never forgot the answer.

What Wes says is wise advice. (write the body of the paper first, then write the introduction, knowing what youā€™re going to say.) But in my experience with students (and myself) this isnā€™t always natural. Often it feels awkward to leap into an essay without ā€œeasing into itā€. Some people ā€œchunkā€ well, meaning they can assemble the logical parts of a piece and then move the pieces around. Others, however, are ā€œbeginning to endersā€. They need a way in to the material and then they need to progress through to the end. (they can go back later and revise, but this is the way they work best.)So if youā€™re a beginning to ender you might want to adopt a trick that the wonderful writer John McPhee uses to get his first drafts down, and when heā€™s confronted with writerā€™s block (which probably isnā€™t often.). He starts by writing a letter to his mom: ā€œHi, mom. Iā€™m OK. Hope youā€™re good. Iā€™m trying to write a paper on the impacts of WW1 on Canada and the US and I donā€™t know how to begin. Canada and the US entered the war at different times and for different reasons. They had very different presences globally before the war and the impacts after the war were similar to both countries in some ways but quite different in other ways. For one thing, the unicorn industry in the US really took off in a post-war international economy. Canada, for itā€™s part, officially adopted the ā€œehā€ as the national interjection. But to really examine these impacts itā€™s going to be necessary to look at the two nationsā€™ relative relationships to two pivotal historical figures: Admiral Nelson and General Lafayette. My essay has got to start there and go on to illustrate the relative impacts more specifically. Iā€™m not sure Iā€™m up to the task, mom, but thatā€™s why I canā€™t do my laundry this weekend. Is it OK if I drop it off at your house again?ā€Then cut off all the stuff about your mom and use the rest as the germ of your introduction.

I need help on an introduction paragraph for the book The Bean Trees?

I would suggest discussing the importance of symbols to the book, overall, and then briefly discuss the thee symbols you've selected.

Of course there are different accents and versions of patois throughout the island. The patois gets thicker as you get more rural or ā€œcountryā€ as we call it. Some places like in Clarendon for example, Granny sounds the opposite how the current PM (Holness) sounds when he's talking even to his closest friends. Country patois is so thick it's like a different language. There are definitely young people who grew up in prominent St. Andrew who wouldn't be able to understand half what someone from rural St. Elizabeth was saying. Then there's young dancehall fans who have a whole new set of words and slang it's hard to keep track and they talk extra fast. If you didn't grow up with it being spoken around you, you're out of luck. It's no different than any other country and their parishes, states or whatever.. thick Boston accents, Southern drawls, Newfoundland, Liverpool etc.

There was a key difference between the way that the US settled the West and the way that Canada did. Americans moved West and then the law, sooner or later, caught up. Canadians moved West and found a law force already there, waiting for them, and ready to keep the peace. That force was the North-West Mounted Police (NWMP), which later became the RCMP.It also served as a gate-keeper to the gold fields during the Klondike Gold Rush, too: if you didnā€™t have adequate supplies to support yourself for an entire year, you werenā€™t allowed in the Yukon. So, as Canada expanded, many people came to associate the country with its police force. Historically, in many ways, it was the countryā€™s face and hands, so to speak. Here are a few places they have shown up.Fort Whoop Up, a whisky-traders fort set up by Americans near Lethbridge, Alberta, before the NWMP arrived. The police rented part of the fort as a barracks, to keep an eye on its activities.Sam Steele was bigger-than-life. Big, strong, smart, self-assured, commanding, and incorruptable. He was in charge of the Yukon detachment during the gold rush and kept order there. He commanded Lord Strathconaā€™s Horse during the Boer War. He may be the source of the popular image of the RCMP.RCMP served in Europe during World War I both in regular regiments and, if I recall correctly, in machine gun units of their own. This function might be better explained by the French name for the forceā€”Gendarmerie Royale du Canada. Gendarmerie literally means ā€œarmed menā€ but translates better as ā€œparamilitary force.ā€RCMP are in charge of protecting dignitaries, both domestic and foreign. They serve in Canadian airports. They greet foreign heads of state. They have guarded the Queen in London. And, when she still rode, her personal horse was Burmese, trained by the RCMP and a gift from Canada. On top of that, the RCMP often serves under contract as the municipal or even provincial or territorial police for any government that doesnā€™t want the bother of raising and managing its own force. So ā€œthe policeā€ in the Yukon are the RCMP; ā€œthe policeā€ in a city like Burnaby or North Vancouver, BC are the RCMP.So, itā€™s a unique force that is strongly associated with Canadian history and which is visible in many contexts that represent the government of Canada. It takes a share of the role in the public imagination that, in other countries, is occupied by the military.
