Do you have any recommendations on witty TV shows?
I barely consider tbbt or glee to be witty despite only having several good lines with the rest being rubbish. If you’re looking for a witty tv series that everybody is watching than look no further..Sherlock:Yes not only it’s a great mystery show but this is truly a show where the characters have smart dialogues and witty banter.Doctor Who:Similarly like Sherlock, this is an adventure sci fi show that is driven with witty dialogues. My personal favourite. If you plan to watch it,start with series 5.And guess what some writers behind sherlock alsoThe Firefly:The director behind Avengers created this show.If you like the humour in the Avengers then you’re going to find the same type of humour here.
I need TV show recommendations, but I'm slightly picky.?
I need TV show recommendations, but I'm slightly picky. So lately I've been browsing through a lot of shows, and none have sparked my interest. It may also be because of my standards of shows. I want a show that would hook me on, has romance, and lasts more than 1 season. I also want a show that has good looking guys (I need eye candy for shows sometimes *u*) Shows I have watched and LOVE! -Pretty Little Liars -The Vampire Diaries -One Tree Hill (Although I dropped it at season 4) Shows I have watched and LIKE. -90210 (dropped it at the last season, not sure why haha) (before you mention, I have already tried the other 90210 shows) Shows I have tried -Teen Wolf (I'm not sure why but, the romance wasn't something I enjoyed. I like something where they don't fall in love at first sight.) -All of the other 90210 shows (They just never caught my eye, or they seemed too old) -The O.C. (I haven't actually tried it, but I heard it wasn't that great) -Downton Abbey (It's nice but, I'm not too sure why I could never get myself into it) Please help recommend me some shows, thanks!
Best TV series ever .. Any recommendations ?
True Detective, Breaking Bad, How I Met Your Mother, Fargo, there are so many cool tv series it's hard to mention all of them. First seasons of Supernatural was cool too, and first 2 season of Walking Dead
Any recommendations for a good sci-fi series?
I don't care for Stargate either. Mad for Battlestar Galactica though :) Talk about structured plot... end of season three and hello! But can't go spoiling the story for you ;) There are interspersed character-developing episodes in the series too, so you don't feel like you're watching '24' and something or someone is always about to blow-up or get shot. Plus the set and effects are great, helped by a credible unfolding sci-fi plot. Anyway, enough said, check it out and see for yourself! There is a reason they remade the original series and took off from there! Two thumbs-up here! EDIT - I don't remember arguing over what had happened or was going to happen over any TV series until this one came along. Had to buy the DVDs as they kept putting it on late night here. Doh. But oh so worth it!
I need recommendations for comedy series as I have watched all the good ones like Seinfeld and Cheers etc. Is there any which isn't very old?
From the British/Irish side I would recommend the following :-Father Ted - 3 priests stuck on an Irish Island have various bonkers adventuresCount Arthur Strong - Idiot old ex entertainer makes endless misunderstandings and his other idiot friends get involvedBlack Books - Grumpy Bad Tempered book shop owner and his 2 equally idiotic friends interact badly with the real worldBlackadder series 2–4 history twisted hilariouslyThe Fast Show lots of punchlines and repetition repeated watching requiredThe Royle Family / Early Doors Sitcoms based on the minutiae of British every day lifeOtherwise Peepshow and The Thick of It
