I Noticed The Lymph Node Under My Right Arm Is Swollen And My Shoulder And Joint Area Have Been

Is it worrisome that lymph nodes swelled after a massage in SPA?

actually this is fairly normal.  Massage Therapists always recommend lots of water and no caffeine or alcohol (or any other toxic substances) after a massage because your blood flow has increased to more areas of your body and is actively working to flush the toxins out of your body.  The easiest way is to direct them towards your lymph nodes to be processed and cleaned. This causes the lymph glands to swell a bit as they are processing a higher quantity of material than usual.  The same way they do when you are ill. (they are processing dead bacteria, viral and white blood cells.  I'd worry if after several days they have not gone down and would recommend a visit to your doc.  Alwasy avoid massage during illness or after a big night on the drink as your body is already working hard to clean out your body fluids.  dont make it work harder than it has too.

Could you feel abdominal lymph nodes if they were swollen?

You have palpable lymph nodes in your arm pits (axillary nodes), neck (cervical nodes), and in your groin. These are the most common places where you can feel your nodes. There are good diagrams showing the location of the nodes in the middle of this article: http://www.aafp.org/afp/20021201/2103.ht...

The simple answer is, yes, you could feel your abdominal lymph nodes if they enlarged enough. I had abdominal lymph nodes from Hodgkin's Disease that actually compressed together to form a mass. This is really rare, though. You would likely have to have advanced lymphoma and would probably have other related symptoms.

Fortunately, what you're describing really don't sound like lymphoma symptoms at all, but if you're concerned you should see your doctor and have him/her evaluate you. I agree with the prior poster that you really shouldn't be hunting around your abdomen looking for lymph nodes. Most of them are fairly deep inside. You could notice an enlarged spleen or liver; that would be a firm "mass" area underneath your left rib cage (spleen) or right rib cage (liver). If you notice something like that you should tell your doc. It doesn't mean you have lymphoma, but it should be checked out.

Pain in the right side of neck?

I had to go to the ER for sever abdominal pain and blood in my stool (yuck) they ran all sorts of tests and did a CAT scan and said I would be ok. 2 days later I started having pains in the right side of my jaw, neck and it kinda felt like it hurt my adams apple when I would swallow. The pain has now lasted for about a month and a half and hurts non stop, it hurts my right shoulder, my neck and the back of my head all on the right side. Since it has been hurting I has what I thought was a pimple form on the right side of my jaw and back of my head on the right side but they have not gone away the entire time either & the hurt very bad.
I wanted to say also about o ten years or so ago I have a accident and my jaw was broken very very bad, the doctors at UPMC said it was the worst he had ever seen almost the entire bottom right side of my jaw is titanium and the nerve damage was lasting. I have feelings around my ear and jaw but its VERY sensitive making this all so much more severe it seems. Could the titanium have been effected by the CAT scan and caused something to screw up in my neck?? It just hurts so bad and I have NO IDEA what is causing this pain. When I breath deep it hurts REALLY bad, when I press on the side of my neck I guess where the glands? are it feels like my eyes are going to pop out.
Please anyone out there help me out here...

What causes pain below my jaw on the right side? Could it be Hodgkin’s Disease? Its swollen under my jaw, on the right side, on top of the neck (compared to my left side). I dont have a flu/cough or any other symptoms and I'm putting on weight!

You should see a doctor and be examined.I can't put your mind at rest based on what you've said, but I can say that two common causes of what we doctors would call "submandibular swelling" are stones in the submandibular gland and tooth decay leading to an abscess. Both are statistically roughly twice as common as Hodgkins  which is about 30 cases per million people per annum.People with cancer of all forms typically lose weight, although there are always exceptions, and yes, some people with Hodgkins do gain weight. 1/2 the adult population manages to gain weight and does not have Hodgkin's disease so you can't make too much of that in isolation. The most common lymph node site affected by Hodgkin's disease is in the neck, however, Hodgkin's disease can also cause swelling of the groin or nodes of the underarm but these swellings are usually not painful and can feel rubbery. Like most cancers Hodgkin's disease can also cause fevers, night sweats, weight loss, and even generalized itching. Hodgkin's disease may cause lymph nodes in the chest to swell, which can't be seen or felt, but can cause symptoms such as cough, shortness of breath, or chest pain. Interestingly, some people with Hodgkin's disease will note pain in the lymph nodes after minimal alcohol consumption which appears to be something you've noticed. Please get a checkup ASAP.

What are the symptoms of lymphoma?

A lymphoma is a broad form of cancer caused by the abnormality in the lymphocytes. As this form of malignancy is directly connected to the lymphatic system of the body, the symptoms of the disease are also pretty varying. There are two categories of lymphoma and based on the way that cancer spreads, the symptoms can vary a lot:1. Hodgkin’s Lymphoma: When it comes to HL, there are no symptoms. However, as cancer starts to spread around, some symptoms that appear are swelling of lymph nodes which are painful the start. However, as cancer progresses, the following symptoms start to appear:Swollen lymph nodes on neck, arms, underarms, groins etc.Random bouts of fever.Night sweats couple with skin irritation.Weight loss with no prior indication.Loss of hungerConstant itching all across the body.Feeling of being full even after you have eaten just a little.Chest pains.Shortness of breaths.Extreme levels of lethargy.Discomfort in the chest coupled with troubles breathing. While you can count all these symptoms as symptoms, if the condition persists, they reach the B-level and this is when the cancer is full force.2. Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma: In Non-HL, the spread of lymphoma is not linear, it is random and desperate. This way of cancer spreading dictates the symptoms that a person might encounter. To that end, there are some general and targeted symptoms of this disease:Random bouts of feverSweating coupled with chills in the night time.Weight loss with no prior indication.Extreme levels of lethargyThe body is vulnerable to infections. There are swelling and pain in the abdomen.Chest discomfortDifficulty in breathing.SeizuresFacial numbnessExtreme changes in personality. If you encounter any or all of these symptoms in your or your loved one, looking for treatment is a necessary prospect.
