Of course.. As long as you can show enough documentation that you have a strong source of income or you have enough funds to support yourself through your visit in Canada. You also need to show that you have no intention of staying back in Canada or moving to Canada. Some of the things that you can provide in support of this argument is: a) Short Itinerary (just a plan of what you want to do) b) A letter of support from someone already in Canada that you only intend to visit and don't plan on moving there c) Bank Statements showing your salary in your country and any other document which demonstrates strong ties to your home country.You can even write a letter to the visa officer and provide a statement and mention clearly that you do not have any intention of immigrating to Canada and that you only plan to visit for a few days.Proving both these are easier on H1B but nothing stops you from applying for a visitor visa to Canada even on B1 / B2.

They will but they will require a huge deposit... especially if the record on your credit says you havent been making payments and have just run from the debt without making payment arrangement. you should have called Verizon at the time and bitched about it. they will waive bills like that if you raise enough hell. you can get that bill on your credit settled for much less than 2 grand. Its called a payoff amount... basically they will strike a deal wth you for reduced settlement if you agree to pay it. Markup on cellular services is ridiculous... it could settle for as little as 100 bucks... the collection company only bought the account for about 20 bucks or less too.
How much to save for overseas trip to Japan & Canada, travelling from NZ?
Hi there, I am wanting to travel to Japan & also Canada for an overseas experience. Does anyone have an idea of what sort of $ I will need to save to have a comfortable and semi long trip (2-3 months). In Japan I would like to experience the different culture, including spending time in a major city, and then possibly visiting a more traditional village. My partner wants to check out some car shows based around drifting. In Canada I would like to spend time going snowboarding and partying a bit, meeting people and being a bit social. Interested in Whistler. Would also probably visit a friend in Edmountown (not sure of the spelling). Would need food and accommodation too, sometimes we can live rough and go to backpackers, but sometimes It would be nice to have normal hotel/motel style accommodation.. Any thoughts on costs, or hints on saving, companies I would get good deals through - would help out heaps! PS I am a New Zealander (kiwi) so NZD is my currency but I want always do conversions so just advise me of what currency you are estimating in.
