Is 32 too old to start going to the gym for a 6 pack?

Its never too late. I am a fitness freak and i personally have transformed my body. This feels like a good place to tell you the little i know. I can suggest you a few things to help you in your transformation:Cut down your sugar intake to almost zero unless its absolutely necessaryCut out processed food from your diet like chips and coke with healthy substitutes like fruits and juices. Prefer fruits over juices. Eat lots of green leafy vegetables. Eat food high on lean protein. Keeps you full and controls appetite.Minimize high carb food sources like rice in your diet. You can take food high on carbs just before workout. Also , include whole food in your diet (whole wheat pasta, whole wheat bread etc).Follow a workout routine on www.bodybuilding.com. You can never achieve great results without following a gym program. I have followed programs on this website and if you follow honestly, you will see amazing results without a doubt. Drink lots of water. At least 8-10 glasses a day. Just after you wake up in the morning, drink a bottle of water. Stay hydrated.Switch to green tea. If you do nothing but drink green tea for a period of time, you can easily loose 4-5 pounds over a period of two months. It accelerates metabolism.Instead of 3 big meals, divide your meals into 5-6 shorter meals in the day. Don't eat anything after 8pm.Always stick to your cardio before weight training. Daily 15-20 min high intensity cardio does wonders.Get enough sleep (8 hours a day) and minimize your stress levels. They have effect on your body weight. If you want suggestions on gym programs: If you are new to the gym Follow Lee Labrada's 12-Week Lean Body Trainer .If its not your first time to the gym, you can start off with 12 Week Daily Trainer With Kris Gethin! What can be a healthy exercise, diet and study routine for a 19 year old type-1 diabetic boy?

To answer your question directly, a 19-year old Type 1 should do all the things that every other 19 year old it “told” to do. Keep a regular schedule, get 30–60 minutes of exercise 3–5 times per week, eat a balanced diet with at least 60–80 grams of protein per day and get 7–9 hours sleep. The only thing I would emphasize particularly would be washing your hands very regularly to avoid as much illness as possible. Because of the problems that illnesses cause with blood sugar levels, staying as generally healthy as possible is important. That said:I going to have to veer slightly off topic here. My first suggestion would be to look closely at whether or not your doctor’s treatment program is actually as effective as it could be. India does a lot of things really well, but the diabetic information I’ve seen coming from some Indian Quorans scares me regularly.Specifically, I’m worried about your dosing schedule. Short acting insulin only stays in the blood stream for about 4 hours. So while Lantus may be covering your Basal insulin needs, if you are like every other 19-year old I know, you eat more than twice a day. If you aren’t covering those carbs with a Bolus dose of insulin EVERY time, you are damaging yourself. While a high enough dose of Lantus will probably deal with the spiking blood sugar over time, it’s MUCH healthier to use a lower Basal dose of Lantus and cover spikes from eating with short acting insulin.Your daily schedule should look something like this:7am, Wake up, check Blood Sugar7:30am, determine carbs for breakfast, bolus enough insulin to cover those carbs, plus a correction dose if you were higher than 120–140 when you woke.8am, School11:30am, check Blood Sugar11:45am, determine carbs for lunch, bolus enough insulin to cover those carbs, plus a correction dose if you were higher than 120–140 when you just checked4pm, Check Blood Sugar before exercising. If BG is under 100, eat a small snack with 10–15 carbs before beginning.6:30pm, check Blood Sugar6:45pm determine carbs for dinner, bolus enough insulin to cover those carbs, plus a correction dose if you were higher than 120–140 when you just checked.8:00pm, take long acting insulin injection (Lantus)8:15pm, study11:00pm, check Blood Sugar, Bolus if higher than 170–180, eat a snack if below 10011:15pm, go to sleep.
