I Put In My Friends Email To Get An App Now Im Getting All Their Emails. How Do I Stop This

How can I stop getting so much spam email?

There are a few things you can be aware of to ensure you're less susceptible to spam (unfortunately, you'll never rid yourself of it completely)...These are taken from an article I published recently titled "Still Getting Spam? 4 Email Mistakes to Avoid Today"...You’re Clicking UnsubscribeYour first instinct is to click the little unsubscribe button that’s hidden at the bottom of your email subscriptions and most spam messages. All it does now is inform the pesky spammer that they’ve found an email address that’s in use. Delighted at his success, the spammer lets the rest of his spammer entourage know about you.Do This Instead: Hit delete or if it’s definitely spam, flag it as such (Report Spam in Gmail, Spam in Yahoo), so your email client knows to filter future emails from that address. You Replied to The SpammerWhen you reply to a spammer asking them to give you a break, you’re doing two things that could slide your inbox into email hell.First – you’re whitelisting the spammer’s email. With that reply, your email provider thinks you know the sender and will have no future problem with new emails.Second – you just informed the spammer’s system of an email address that’s being used. Automatically, your spam levels will rise.Your Friends are CCing You Into MessagesWhen friends or colleagues CC you into messages, every other recipient in the group can see your address. If any of their email accounts are hacked, your email address will be found and harvested, making you more susceptible to spam. You Didn’t Read The Small PrintDisreputable sites (or dishonest employees of those sites) that you sign up to can illegally sell your email address to other companies and spammers. Unfortunately, there’s not much you can do about this, other than only sign up to sites that you trust.

How do I delete all my emails and start over with a new email address?

Do you really never want to receive email from that address again? You have no games or business or banking that you want to get updates on? No friends that have your old email that you want to ever hear from?  If you do, you can forward email from your old address to your new one. If you truly never want anything from the old email, there is usually an option (usually used for vacations) where you can have the email held on the server. Then never check it again. As far as how to delete all your old mail, it depends on what email client you are using. Usually you can go to the menu, select all and delete whatever is showing. Keep deleting until it is all gone.Microsoft (Hotmail) and Google (gmail) both have free email for your new account.Hope that helps.

How can i stop my friend sending my chain mail?

Okay so my sorta friend Leigh keeps sending me chain mail and it is really annoying the Sh*t out of me.

When i say "Sorta Friend" its because she's not one of my best friends and we hardly talk. We only chat like once every 2 months on msn. But anyway...
She keeps sending out loads of chain mail. Not just to me but to all her msn contacts.
I'm not gonna delete her. I've tried asking her NOT to send it to me but she still does.

Emails won't delete in yahoo mail, they keep reappearing in my inbox?

I click on an email and then click on delete. Presto, gone. And then it's back in my inbox. sometimes up to five times. I click on trash and click to empty it, sometimes the trash empties and sometimes it doesn't. If the trash empties, it seems to take the email permanently, but it shouldn't come back in the first place when I initially delete it. I'm using Firefox, if that makes a difference.

How do I delete multiple emails in my Gmail inbox?

I needed to update this post to add 1 extra step because Google added an additional piece of verification to this process. Most likely because of me showing tens of thousands of people how to delete all of their junk mail.I also got a bunch of comments below saying this “doesn’t work” but rest assured my friends, we are back in the game with this “1 simple trick.”Warning! You are probably about to delete a huge amount of email, please be aware of what you are doing. Always backup your email before attempting to delete your email or any data for that matter. If you scroll past this page you acknowledge that you will not hold me liable for any damages that may be incurred by deleting email. Thanks! This method is mainly for when you have a HUGE amount of emails and don’t feel like deleting them a hundred at a time.I’ll start with this illustration, and then talk a bit about it.Click to enlargeStep 1: Go to the Gmail search bar and enter in today’s date or the date you want your email deleted from. So if I want everything from today deleted I would enter:before:2015/05/22
Meaning – delete everything before May 22, 2015.Step 2: Check the magic box. The key here is you will see a notification that says “All conversations in this search are selected.”This basically means all 10,000 emails are selected, not just the default 50 or 100 emails that you see on your screen.Step 2.5 Updated – In addition to checking the magic box, you now also need to click the link that says “All conversations that match this search.” Google added this extra step sometime in 2016 to make people think twice before selecting huge amounts of email to delete / move / archive / mark as spam etc.Step 3: Click the trash button. You will probably get a warning which you will need to affirm. Once that happens it might take a minute or two. I just deleted almost 10,000 emails and it took about 2 minutes. You might get a “still working” message while you wait.Other thoughts on mass deleting a lot of Gmail messages at onceYou can use this method to do a bunch of other stuff such as archive your email, mark it all read, mark it unread, or delete it.Please note that if you are using this method with a connected email + domain, this may or may not delete the email off your server depending on your mail server setup. You’ve been warned, but let me warn you again. Think before you hit that delete button, because you ain’t gettin’ those emails back.

How do I view all my photos from emails with the new Yahoo Mail?

Unfortunately, the option is no longer available in the new version. I finally contacted a yahoo rep and was advised they removed this option....no good explanation given....The only way you can bring them up now is to find the email that contains the photo. This means you have to check your inbox....sent folder or any other place you may have saved them. You can also use MAIL SEARCH on your email page and enter something that relates to that email...IE: senders email address or subject matter ...to bring up that email. You can also enter PHOTOS and/or ATTACHMENTS in this search box, which brings up many, if not all, of your emails that has attachments/photos. I loved that option, but apparently Yahoo does not...=))

This is how to go back to Classic ... if you want to..

Go to , http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ym... and click on "click here" that follows "However, if you do not want to upgrade".

Husband receiving Zoosk emails?

A few days ago I asked to use my husband's smart phone to check my email. It automatically brought up his gmail account which was full of emails from Zoosk.com saying so-and-so had viewed his profile or sent him a message. Last August I was away for a week and when I came home there were about 7 charges from Zoosk.com on his credit card. He claimed that he was scammed through a porn site and swears up and down that he never created a profile on the zoosk dating site. Does anyone have experience with Zoosk? Can they send you messages saying someone viewed your profile if you've never created one? He has been shady about a few things recently (lying about talking to a girl even though it was platonic in nature then lying about the fact that she moved to the area recently) and we have been going through a rough time the past year. I love him but I will not put up with BS the rest of my life and I want to find out the truth.

Also--I did not read the emails as he was sitting next to me, when I showed him he said again that it was a scam and that he thought he "deleted that app". No clue what that meant.

Will topica.com (a spam site) now have my email?

I recently ordered a book from nationalgeographic.com. I got an email with an order confirmation from them saying that the book has shipped and it looked normal. I clicked confirm at the bottom because I assumed I would just be confirming I got the email. Instead of taking me to nationalgeographic.com it took me to a page on the domain topica.com that just said "thank you" on it. I closed the window though because my web of trust plug-in said that the site is malicious. I read up on it and it turns out it is a phishing and spam site. I looked back at the email and the address it was sent from says "National Geographic Books ". Are only some parts of the website spam or was the whole email I got fake? I don't understand how it could have been because it included all the information about my order. Does this mean that I will be getting spam emails all the time from topica.com? Should I change my email or password? Thanks in advance for your help.
