I cannot believe how much you people lie to yourselves, looks don't mean anything to you? Please. I'm with you on this one, brother. I was in a similar situation way back in high school, but I think the solution applies to the real world as well. You have to take up an "interest" in the anchor, and just go for the angle of being really good friends. You may have to put in a little time and elbow grease, but once you shift everything from a boyfriend/girlfriend atmosphere chicks generally accept you as a "dear friend." And you know what that means, when you go for the hottie you have her friend on your side working the psychological warfare for you. Works like a charm. If this chick that you're really after is a 9 or a 10, it is worth the effort.
Can a guy REALLY be "just friends" with a girl?
I am a girl, and I have a lot more friends that are guys than girls. My boyfriends have always hated this, and are always convinced that my guy friends are INTERESTED in me in other ways - they claim they "know how guys are". My guy friends don't flirt overtly or make passes at me, and I feel they respect the fact that I am in a relationship. Do guys keep girl friends around "just in case"? Or can they really just be platonic friends with girls? What do you think?

Okay so, of course, theres this girl I really like and I think she likes one of my friends. Me and her went to a concert last night and she stuck with me the whole night. She kept bumping my hand on the walk out and I thought I shouldn't hold her hand because i hadnt really asked her out and what if she did like this other guy? Well, my brother and his girlfriend started play fighting and I could see in her eyes she wanted that kind of relationship. I really wanted to just give her that type of one so i started to go up to her and was just about to nudge her but then i thought about the guy i think she likes and stopped. What should i do now?
